Ayaan ran out of my grip. I chuckled. Kids. I've always loved them. Having one in the house has gotten me so excited. Especially when it happens to be your own nephew. I fell back onto the sofa. I was watching TV when Ayaan came in running. He had turned three a few weeks ago but he had now gotten even cheekier. Ayaan asked me to put my hand out and so I did. He gave me a little chocolate and I hugged him. But a bit too hard. Which is why he ran away. Me and Ayaan are now very close. So close in fact sometimes he would sit near me rather than Shehry or Najma, but when it was time for his special Zara chachi hugs, anyone would be better. Shehry came into the room with Ayaan running behind him.

"Oye! Zara! What's this I'm hearing? Have you been bothering my champ?" Shehry said to me in mock anger. I giggled and went behind Shehry. I picked Ayaan up.

"I'm sorry, Ayaan jee. Mujhe maaf kijiye. You know I get excited when I see the most handsomest boy in the world." I smiled. Ayaan smiled and kissed me on the cheek. I kissed him back and put him down, and he ran off again. I laughed along with Shehry.
"What the hell yaar? He likes you more than his own parents." Shehry chuckled. We sat down on the sofa.
"What can I say? I'm just awesome around kids." I joked. Shehry laughed when Najma came in.

"Shehry, I need your help." She said to him.

"Of course begum." He winked at her. Najma blushed red. I chuckled. It had been four years since they were married but they were one of the cutest couples I knew. They both left the room and I was alone once again. It was a very quiet day today for some reason. Suddenly I heard the front door close. Wait a minute. Everyone's at home. So who could be coming in? I quickly went to the living room door and peeked my head out. No one there. Suddenly someone wrapped their arms around my waist. Before I could scream, they put their hand on my mouth. What the hell?! The person kissed me on the cheek putting their head on my right shoulder. OMG! Help! The person let me go and I tried to leave but they grabbed me by the hand and spun me around until I landed in the person's chest. I looked up to see..what? No way!

"Hussain!" I yelled. Of course. He went out. How could you forget Zara? He looked at me in 'duh' kind of way.

"Tum theek ho? Have you got a fever?" He asked seriously, putting his hand to my forehead. I slapped his hand away.

"Why couldn't you say something? I thought you were someone else!" I said furiously. Hussain laughed.

"Is that why you tried to scream?" He grinned. I crossed my arms and turned away. I'm not talking to him. Hussain wrapped his arms around me again, giving me electric shocks.

"I'm sorry jaan. Mujhe maaf kijiye. You know I get excited when I see the most beautiful girl in the world." Hussain said, slightly tilting his head towards mine. Yes, he got that dialogue from me. I always say that when Ayaan gets angry at me and now Hussain's saying it to me. Well, it's not going to work. I just kept quiet. Hussain kissed me on the jaw. Damnit! He knew that was my weak spot. I can't even breathe! I mean it literally when I say he took my breath away. His long nose touched my cheek slightly. The cutiepie always managed to make me melt.

"Ab?" He asked me in a deep, raspy voice.

"Ab..shave karo." I giggled. Hussain's jaw dropped and he let me go. I turned around.

"Shave?" He raised an eyebrow. I nodded. Hussain grabbed my hand gently and brought it to his cheek, making me feel his stubble. Well, you can't call it stubble anymore. More like a beard. He only kept it for that movie he was in but then he liked it too much. Hussain slowly moved my hand to his lips, where he kissed it.

"Allah meri tobah!" Ayaan stomped in. We both jumped and Hussain let go of my hand quickly. We both looked at each other. Hussain grinned and kneeled down. He wrapped his arms around Ayaan.

"Kya hua Ayaan?" Hussain asked. He was so cute with kids! I still can't believe I'm married to this sweet guy.

"Sain chachu, Ami and Abu are looking into each other's eyes in the kitchen and they're not listening to me!" Ayaan pouted angrily. I cracked up along with Hussain.

"Ayaan, yeh to normal hai. You know that." Hussain explained. Ayaan nodded.

"By the way, can I ask you and Zara chachi something?" Ayaan asked.

"Yes Ayaan jee, bolo." I kneeled down to Ayaan's height.

"When will I get some cousins?" Ayaan's question made me blush so much, I was speechless. Hussain looked a bit pink as well. I glanced at Hussain who smiled at me mischievously.

"Abu and Waqas taya told me to ask you." Ayaan added. That made sense.

"But if you are, please hurry up." Ayaan giggled and ran off.

"Oye!" Hussain called but Ayaan had already run off. However, before Ayaan could leave, he ran into Shaista aunty. Sorry, I mean, Mama. I'm still used to Shaista aunty.

"Arey Ayaan beta. Kahan ja rahe ho?" Mama asked Ayaan, picking him up.

"Mama, dekho! This kid has fully turned into Shehry! Haraami!" Hussain pouted. I stifled a giggle. Loved his pouts.

"Hussain! Don't swear at Ayaan! Kya hua?" Mama asked.

"He asked when..we'll..kids.." Hussain's voice trailed but Mama understood. She laughed.

"Don't be angry at my shehzaada. Shehry sikhaya. To usse bolo." Mama chuckled.

"Sirf Shehry nahi Mama. Waqas bhi sikhaya." I added.

"Uff! Those two! Both are married. One already has a child. Still, they won't grow up." Mama said.

"Mama, I don't need to grow up. How else will I hang out with my champ?" Shehry came in with Najma.

"Abbey oh! Kya sikhaya teri champ ko, huh? Tu aur Waqas na.. Tera bacha tera jaisa hua. Puri photocopy." Hussain confronted. Everyone chuckled.

"Kya karu yaar? My Ayaan will be breaking hearts." Najma smirked.

"Ami, I don't want to break anything." Ayaan said seriously. Everyone laughed.

Hussain's P.O.V

A few hours later, Zara went upstairs to shower. Now was my chance. I went into Shehry's room to get the box when I saw Waqas, Atif and Shehry sitting on Shehry's bed.

"Hey. When did you guys get here?" I asked, sitting down.

"We just came now bro. So how's the plan going?" Waqas smirked. Oh damn!

"Yaar, you just reminded me! And I need to talk to you later about what you teach Ayaan." I narrowed my eyes at him, quickly getting up and opening Shehry's closet.

Waqas, Atif and Shehry started giggling like girls. Idiots. I took the box out and ran back to my room, putting the box on my bed. I ran back out. Everything had to be perfect.

Zara's P.O.V

I came out of the shower to see a box on my bed. Huh? That wasn't there. I went over to it. On top of it was written:

To Mrs Hussain Asif

That's me. Hehe. I opened the box. Inside was a yellow salwaar suit with another smaller box. I took out the suit and looked at it carefully. It was beautiful and had floral designs on it. I fell in love with it. I put it on the bed and opened the smaller box. Inside were earrings and a ring, both matching with the suit. There was another note.

Wear this and come downstairs at 6:30pm.

Hayee! He is so romantic! I got ready, putting the earrings and the ring on. By the time I finished, it was 6:35. Best to be fashionably late. I started to make my way downstairs. At the bottom of the stairs, standing there was Hussain, dressed up in a black kurta and a black dupatta with yellow on the end, matching my outfit. And...he had shaved. I reached the bottom steps when Hussain put his hand out and I held his hand, stepping down. He looked at me, still holding my hand.

"You look beautiful." He said quietly.

"You don't look too bad yourself." I smiled back. Hussain grinned.

"Chalein?" He asked.

"Kahan?" I frowned, confused.

"Surprise."

Saying that, he led me to his car. Hussain opened the door for me and I got in. He closed the door and got in himself. Hussain started to drive somewhere. I broke the silence.

"Hussain..can I ask you something?" I asked curiously. Hussain grinned.

"You just did."

I rolled my eyes.

"How come we're dressed all desi? I mean, I don't mind but you usually wear shirts and you only ever wear kurtas on Eid."

"Because you look mindblowing in desi. And I had to maintain the dress code." He grinned.

I chuckled at his vocab. Hussain stopped the car and got out. He opened the door on my side, like a gentleman. I got out, smiling at him.

"Gentleman ban gaya, huh?" I smirked.

"Tumhare liye, kuch bhi kar sakta hoon." Hussain whispered in my ear, his hot breath hitting the side of my face. He closed the door and took my hand, leading me to a restaurant which was closed and empty. The restaurant was decorated with lights outside everywhere and next to it, there was a balcony facing...OMG! It was facing the ocean!

"Wow!" I walked over to the balcony. The moon was already shining brightly and the moonlight reflected on the water.

"This is so beautiful, Hussain! Thank you for bringing me here." I looked at him to see him smiling at me.

"Like I said. I can do anything to see this smile on your face, jaan." Hussain had a look on his face and was staring at me. I looked at him but he didn't stop staring.

"Kya?" I raised an eyebrow.

"I love you." Hussain said.

"I love you too." I replied with a smile on my face. I can't even explain my love for him. All I knew that I was going to spend the rest of my life with my prince.

"Now turn around." Hussain said to me. What?

"Hey! Don't push me into the water." I pointed my finger at him. Hussain laughed.

"Nahi yaar. Just turn around. Jaan, don't you trust me? I love you." He said.

"I love you too, lekin, you know, zamane ka koi bharosa nahi hai." I said, turning around. I heard his sweet laughter. A few second later, Hussain put something on my neck. I looked to see the most gorgeous silver necklace with a heartshaped locket. Inside the heart, was a H and Z twisted together. Hussain moved my hair to the side. I could feel his cold hands on the back of my neck, hooking the necklace. Is it normal that even after one year of being married, he still gives me electric shocks? In a good way though.

"Like it?" I heard Hussain say. I turned around and hugged him tightly.

"I love it!" I grinned.

"Happy anniversary, jaan." I heard him say. Suddenly my heart shot up to my throat. Damnit! It's our anniversary! It's normal when the guy forgets, but this time the girl forgot.

"Zara?"

"Hussain! I'm so sorry!" I let go of him.

"I forgot! I'm so sorry!" I apologised. Hussain looked at me blankly for a second and started laughing. Huh?

"Hussain? Hyper kyun ho gaya?" I frowned.

"Seriously? I've heard of guys forgetting but you forgot?" Hussain couldn't stop giggling.

"You're not even angry at me?" I asked, confused. Hussain put an arm around my waist and brought me closer to him.

"We'll have so many more anniversaries together. You forgot one. Toh kya? At least you didn't forget me." Hussain smirked.

"But I didn't even get you a present." I pouted. Hussain chuckled.

"You waking up next to me everyday is my present." He whispered and kissed me on my cheek.

"Haye! Kitna filmy munda!" I giggled. Hussain grinned and got out his phone.

"Chalo." He said to me.

"Kahan?" I frowned, confused. Hussain took my hand and lead me to the middle of the deck we were on. He pressed on his phone and 'Katra Katra' started playing. Hussain put his hand on my waist and I put my hand on his shoulder.

Iss tarah se khudse aa mujhko jod tu

We started moving slowly to the music. I gazed into his eyes.

Thoda bhi mujhme na mujhko chhod tu

Hussain's grip around me went tighter, but in a more comfortable way. I felt safe.

Na yaad teri tujhko
Na yaad mujhe hoon main

I smiled at him. He grinned back. It felt so right.

Aa mujhko pehan le tu
Aa tujhko odh loon main

Hussain twirled me around, ending with my back to his chest.

Katra katra main girun
Jism pe tere theharun

He turned me around to face him. I put my head on Hussain's chest as he put his arms around my back. The peacefulness I felt at this moment was indescribable. He was my happiness, my hope, my love, my security and most importantly, my motivation. He was my reason to live. His love for me was different. And I'm glad that I found my soulmate, the person who cares about me and wouldn't leave me. I smiled and took in a deep breath. I loved him.

"Chalo." I said, unlocking myself from his embrace.

"Why? We can stay out more late." Hussain complained. I patted his cheek.

"Sorry baby, but we have the rest of our lives for you to be romantic." I giggled. Hussain kissed me on the cheek one last time and we walked to his car.

We reached home. All the lights inside were turned off.

"Everyone must be asleep." I muttered. Hussain nodded, opening the door.

"I'm getting food, do you want something?" I asked Hussain.

"Yeah, I'm hungry." Hussain replied. I walked into the living room and turned on the lights.

"SURPRISE!" At least 50 voices shouted at me. I was taken aback. I looked at Hussain. From the look on his face, he didn't know about this. I looked around the room to see nearly all of our family.

"Happy anniversary Sain chachu and Zara chachi!" Ayaan grinned, stepping to us. I picked him up and hugged him. Hussain hugged him too. In the middle of everyone there was a table with a cake.

"Wow! All this for us?" Hussain grinned.

"Of course Sain! First anniversaries are always special." Maha smiled. There were so many people here. I couldn't believe everyone came for us at this time. Ami, Abu, Khala, Khalu, Mama and Baba were all standing together, smiling at us. On the other side of the room stood Waqas, Atif, Shehry, Najma, Faiza, Arisha, Maha and Adil.

"Cut the cake, lovebirds!" Waqas yelled. Everyone chuckled. I picked up the knife and Hussain put his hand on top of mine. We cut the cake together while everyone cheered. I cut a piece and put it in his mouth. Hussain cut a piece and fed me. We gave everyone a piece on plates and within a few minutes, the cake was finished.

"Acha, Zara, tell us. What happend?" Faiza asked.

"What are you talking about?" I frowned, confused.

"Now! Like, where did you and Hussain go?" Faiza asked. I smiled. If only I could explain how happy I felt to have such a loving husband.

"Oye hoye! She's blushing! Kuch to hua hai!" Waqas chuckled.

"Nahi, Waqas. I mean, like we just..went to a restaurant." I answered, smiling. I was obviously blushing.

"Faiza, look at her! So much hesitation." Waqas smirked.

"Oye Waqas! Stop bothering my wife. What about you, huh? Before you were always like 'I'm never going to marry' and now? You changed your mind after seeing Faiza, huh?" Hussain smirked. Waqas shut up and Faiza blushed. I laughed, pinching her cheek.

"Abey oh, chup bey. First wipe that lipstick off your face." Waqas laughed. LOL what? Hussain rolled his eyes.

"Sure buddy. Whatever you say."

As the others started to get more interested in their own conversations, I looked at Hussain as he glanced at me. I gave him a smile, which he returned, making my heart skip a beat. As I looked at the love of my life, I felt happy. I was surrounded by my family, friends and Hussain. And I couldn't wait to start the rest of my life.
