"For the last time Jackson... no!" I snapped at him as we walked into the gym behind the other students and coach,

"What do you mean, no?" Jackson asked dramatically beside me in low voice,

"No, how many times do I have to say it, before you understand," I said through gritted teeth, Jackson and I stood at the back of the group as coach began to instruct us about the wall climbing exercise,

"Why not?" He asked almost in a whiny voice,

"Because during our freshman year, you assaulted me at your house, then tried to do it again at Lydia's... be lucky I didn't call the sheriff the first time, but if you don't stop bothering me... I will end you, myself," I said in a whisper as the first set of students started to climb,

"Do you want me to apologise?" He asked shaking his head impatiently,

"I want you to leave me alone," I answered him softly, I sighed before turning my attention, back to the class,

"Look I made a mistake, I get that, and I won't do it again, but I need you with me..." Jackson said softly taking a step closer to me so no one else could hear, I glanced at Scott but he was too busy talking and staring at Allison to notice,

"What you need is professional help..." I trailed off, he kept staring at me with defeated eyes but I refused to let him get sympathy from me, "you're more confused than a catholic school boy, at the peak of puberty, in bible camp!"

"Sometimes I forget how much you remind me of Lydia... but you don't get it, I'm rich, loaded, I drive one of the best cars in the country, I'm going get a full ride into any college I want, be an athletic champion, I have and will have everything... so why won't you say yes?" Jackson snapped at me, I rolled my eyes and looked over at him, smelling the frustration on him,

"All that glitters isn't gold Jackson... you could have all the money in the world, but it won't buy you love... and it won't buy me..." I said to him softly, I kept my face stoic to show my seriousness and Jackson stepped back after looking me in the eyes,

"Whittemore! Prince! You're up next!" Coach shouted to us, I moved forward to the mat with Jackson coming up on my right,

We got in the harness and waited for coach to blow the whistle. He didn't and I flinched at noise but started to climb, swiftly passing Jackson making my way to the top.

"How are you so fast?" Jackson asked finally reaching the top next to me, I looked over at him with a smirk,

"Some people are just born naturally gifted," I said to him, but before he could say anything I released the wall and slid back down to the mat,

"Excellent work boys," The coach said as I stepping out of the harness with Jackson close behind me, "next up McCall and Argent!"

I stepped away from Jackson to watch Scott and Allison climb the wall, only for Allison to pull Scott making him fall. After them Stiles and Erica went up, Stiles went up quickly however, Erica froze halfway up.

"Oh, please..." Erica cried out with sobs, everyone started to move towards the wall,

"Erica, dizzy? Is it vertigo?" Coach asked sounding very unsure of himself,

"Vertigo's a dysfunction of the vestibular system of the inner ear," Lydia corrected him, "she's just freaking out,"

"Erica," Coach called out, and some of the other students started to chuckle,

"I'm fine," she said to him,

"Coach, maybe it's not safe. You know she's epileptic," Allison said to him,

"Why doesn't anybody tell me this stuff?" Coach asked us raising his shoulders dramatically,

"You do know that you're the teacher right?" I asked rhetorically, he looked at me then back up to Erica,

"I have to get...  Erica, y-you're fine. Just... just kick off from the wall. Th-there's a mat to catch you, come on," Coach said to her, she looked down and started to sob,

"Erica," I said loudly taking a step forward, "let go of the wall, and I will catch you,"

She froze for a moment before letting go of the wall, sliding down the rope. Once she was in my reach, I held out to her and helped her steady herself on the mat. She was almost in tears, but I guessed it was from the others chuckling and laughing at her.

"See, you're fine. You're on the ground. You're all right. Let's go. Shake it off. You're fine," Coach said to her but she started to walk away, as the laughing became louder, after everyone went, we all went back to the locker rooms to change,

"Listen up!" Coach announced gaining everyone's attention, "Anybody sees Isaac Lahey, you immediately tell the principal. Get a teacher, or you call me. Except for you, Greenberg. Don't call me for anything, I'm not kidding. Don't call me, you shouldn't even have my number,"

"Isaac?" Scott asked looking between Stiles and myself,

"Haven't seen him since last night," I answered him,

"It's Derek's problem now," Stiles spoke up as we turned and walked over to our lockers,

I started to change into my school attire, trying to think about my classes for the rest of the day, but my hearing decided to pick up on another conversation in the room.

"What do you mean tonight's not a good idea?" Stiles asked Scott,

"I don't know. That thing that we saw last night, Isaac missing, Allison's grandfather. All this stuff happening with Derek, I just... doesn't feel right," Scott said to him,

Thing they saw last night? I thought to myself,

"No, you're not backing out, do you wanna know why? Because you and Allison are obviously having quite a good time together. And you know who else wants to have a good time? Stiles! Stiles wants to have a good time... Many, many times. Several times in a row. In several different positions," Stiles said to him all in one breathe,

"I don't need those images in my head Stiles," I called out from on the other side of the lockers,

"Same goes for you, with he who shall not be named," Stiles shouted over the lockers, and I couldn't help but laugh at the idea, however my laughter started to die down when a twitching feeling came over my arm and the back of my neck, "Are you even listening to me? What... what is that?"

"Scott," I said as I walked around the locker, to see him looking down at his hand,

"Yea, I feel it too..." he said looking around the room, I did the same trying to figure out who or what was causing it, and then it slowly came to me,

"Erica!" Scott and I said at the time before running out of the locker room towards the gym,

By the time we got into gym, Erica was convulsing on the wall, she slipped and fell but Scott caught her in time. Then laid her body on the ground.

"Put her on her side. Put her on her side. How'd you know?" Allison said as the rest of the class soon came into the room,

"I just felt it," Scott said to her,

After school I was in my room studying when I got a text from Derek saying he would be here later than expected. I asked what had happened, and all he said was he's taking a Yep to the hospital. I sighed at the message but went back to my studies because there wasn't much I could do to stop him, especially when he's being all secretive like this.

•••

The next day at lunch I sat with Allison and Danny, she was telling us about the date she and Scott were planning tonight, and how Stiles wanted Lydia to accompany him with them. Making it a sort of double date. However, I wasn't to eager to join them, fifth wheeling didn't seem so promising, and neither was Danny as he was having relationship troubles. We sat there enjoying our lunch when someone sat down next to me. I didn't have to look up, because the scent was gave him away.

I was about to say something to him, but a certain scent drew my attention to the door. From head to toe, Erica Reyes stepped into the room looking drop dead gorgeous, leaving everyone in awe.

"What... the holy hell... is that?" I heard Lydia say,

"Holy bombshell," I said staring at her, I looked back at Allison and Matt who both had stunned faces,

"It's Erica," Scott said to her, sounding amazed,

"I gotta go..." I muttered to Matt and Allison, before getting up and moving after Erica, Scott and Stiles did the same,

"But you didn't give me an chance too..." I heard Matt say, but I didn't turn back to answer him,

We caught up to her as she was pulling open the door to a very familiar Camaro, but she was slipping into the backseat. I looked at the driver side to see Derek smiling at us.

"You coming?" He asked and I heard him from a distance, thank you werewolf hearing, his words sounded less like a command and more like an offer, but it was the smile on his face that made the decision for me,

"Leo don't!" Scott said to him, but I was already moving down the steps, walking around the car and sitting down the in the front seat,

Before I could close the door properly Derek had planted a kiss on my cheek making my face turn a new shade of pink. He turned to look back at Scott and Stiles with a smile, then he sped out of the school.

He drove us to the industrial side of town, once  we got to the basement I saw Isaac doing one handed push ups. He turned to face us with a smile, Erica smiled and basically jumped down the stairs and hugged them.

Derek had a smile on his face, looking at them then me. He wrapped his hand around my waist pulling me close to him, causing me to laugh at him.

We need to talk to him, the voice spoke to me, I closed my eyes and sighed,

"What's wrong?" Derek asked me in low voice, trying not to let the others hear,

"Can I talk to you?" I whispered to him, he didn't say anything he just pulled me outside and closed the door behind us,

"Alright talk," Derek said to me, he walked over to his car and leant against it, folding his arms and looking at me intently,

"Last night... the full moon didn't effect me like you said it would," I said to him and he raised his eyebrow, but didn't respond, " and then I was on the roof... doing the thing with the rain... and... that wasn't normal was it,"

"No it wasn't," Derek said coldly looking away from me,

"I-I still have the senses a-and the claws, but something tell me I'm not a full werewolf, right?" I asked softly, and Derek nodded slightly still avoiding my gaze,

"Then what am I?" I asked him folding my arms,

"Do you honestly not know?" Derek asked, this time looking at me,

"Peter showed me a memory..." I started to say, Derek looked his eyes with mine and took a step towards me, "It was him and my dad, but my mom was there too, and she had this orange aura all around her... but I couldn't tell what it was supposed to be..."

"What did it look like?" Derek asked me, his face was hard, with no emotions showing,

"Some type of animal, I guess," I said shrugging my shoulders, "do you know?"

Derek didn't answer, he started to walk pass me but I grabbed his arm, stopping him. He looked down at me with a stoic expression, and his eyes glowed red again, like he was scanning my face.

"Please, no more beating around the bush... just tell me... I can handle it," I said to him, I took breathe and let it out ragged, my heart to beat faster as I waited for an answer,

"At first I didn't believe it. But... every time I look at you with my wolf eyes, I see it more and more," Derek said lowly, I released his hand and he turned to face me, "in the supernatural world, there things that can and can't happen... gifts and curses... but you, what you are, shouldn't be possible..."

"Okay," I said swallowing a lump that formed in my throat, "so what am I?"

"You're a wolf..." Derek started to say, "but you're also a fox,"

•••

The following day I didn't go school, long story short I wasn't feeling to well. Derek promised not to say anything to the others, and I thankful for that at least... because my mind was else where. Derek told us that he needed another beta, since Scott was being so relentless to join his pack.

Derek was all around powerful, Isaac had stamina, Erica had speed, I was surprisingly a better fighter than both of them, plus my agility gave me an advantage, but we needed someone who was strong. Plus everyone wearing the leather jackets Derek bought for us was a killing look, not to have.

So Derek sent out Erica to stall Scott and Stiles, while he, Isaac and myself took a trip to ice rink. Isaac and I waited outside, they talked for a moment, with Boyd's heart rate beating
faster every now and then. After a while I heard the sound of flesh tearing filled my ears. After that Erica arrived and we waited.

"Boyd. I just wanna talk. Hey, come on, Boyd, please. Did Derek tell you everything? And I don't just mean going out of control on the full moons. I mean everything," Scott shouted over to him, as he rode the machine,

"He told me about the hunters," Boyd answered him,

"And that's not enough for you to say no? Whatever you want there's other ways to get it," Scott said to him,

"I just wanna not eat lunch alone every day," Boyd said to him honestly, after that Derek walked out, and we followed after him,

"If you're looking for friends, you can do a lot better than Derek," Scott to him, and I heard Derek chuckle, Isaac and Erica stood side by side, while I walked up and stood on Derek's left hand side,

"That really hurts, Scott, I mean, if you're going to review me, at least take a consensus. Erica, how's life been for you since we met?" Derek asked her smugly,

"Hm. In a word... Transformative," Erica said to him before letting out a roar,

"Isaac?" Derek asked him next,

"Well, I'm a little bummed about being a fugitive, but other than that, I'm great," Isaac said nonchalantly,

"Leo?" Derek asked me looking over at me finally,

"Everyday I learn something new about myself," I said shrugging my shoulders, "and now, I wanna see the full extent of my abilities,"

Scott looked at me, so I made my eyes glow, he flinched but tried to hide it. He looked at the three of us then back to Derek.

"Okay, hold on. This isn't exactly a fair fight," Scott said to him,

"Then go home, Scott," Derek said to him, but Scott didn't move, Derek looked over his shoulder to the others and they started to walk towards Scott,

Scott dropped to his knees and scattered the rink, he looked back up with his sideburns, claws and face all shifted. He looked back up and his eyes glowed gold, "I meant fair for them,"

Scott roared as Erica and Isaac closed in on him. Derek and I stood in place watching the two fight Scott, they held their own for a moment but Scott soon overpowered them... seeing he had an advantage of experience on them. Once they were knocked down Scott let out a roar, I looked over at who only Derek nodded, like he knew the result.

"Don't you get it? He's not doing this for you. He's just adding to his own power, okay? It's all about him. He makes you feel like he's giving you some kind of gift when all he's done is turn you into a bunch of guard dogs!"
Scott snarled at them, then slid their bodies across the ice, I looked down at them to make sure they were still breathing, once they were I sighed softly,

"It's true. It is about power," Derek said to him, "but power comes in more than one form,"

I didn't have to look at him to know he was talking about me. I sighed again before walking over to Scott.

"Leo, you don't have to do this!" Scott snarled at me, "you don't have to be with him!"

"I know," I said as I got closer to him, "but it's my choice Scott, not yours,"

Scott swung at me with his left hand, and I caught with my left, I twisted his arm then I grabbed the back of his shirt and pulled him forward making him flip over. He landed on his back with a groan, I walked away from him and he got up and came at me again. I blocked each of his strikes, and on the last one I back into the machine.

Scott slashed again but I caught his arm, I punched his stomach, and chest a few times then I kicked him backwards, making him stumble on the ice. Once he regained his footing, I walked towards him and he threw a side kick at me but I caught it with ease. I smirked at him and surprise flashed across his face.

"When did you get so good!" He snarled at me, my eyes glowed at him and I smiled before letting my fangs extend downward,

"Some people are just born naturally gifted!" I snarled back at him, with that I held his leg and spun us around harshly, then I threw him into the machine,

"Argh!" Scott groaned out, he started to stand again, I was about to stop him when a hand on my shoulder pulled me back, I looked over to see Derek had stepped in front of me,

Scott roared at him, but Derek didn't flinch, he only roared back louder. Scott tried to attack but Derek was too fast. He blocked Scott's attacked and hit him back even harder, the sounds of bone cracking and flesh tearing echoing into my ear. Derek grabbed him then slammed Scott onto the ground and pressed his foot onto his chest, after Scott coughed up blood. He held him there and didn't let him.

"Derek that's enough, let him up," I said to him but Derek didn't move, I sighed as Derek's heart rate increased while Scott's started to slow, "Derek! Enough!"

He glanced over at me, and his face softened. He took his foot off and walked away from him, I looked back to see Isaac and Erica getting up. I extended my hand for him, his face reverted back to normal as he took my hand and we walked out of the rink together by Isaac and Erica, with Boyd coming after him.

Derek talked to Boyd, he went home and Derek said he would talk to him later. The rest of us all got in his car and he started to drive us back to the industrial area.

"Wait, turn left," I said to him,

"Why?" He asked me,

"Trust me, just turn," I said to him, Derek complied and started to drive towards the residential area,

He caught onto the idea, and started to drive towards my house. Once we got there it was dark and late so no one should see us. We walked up to the door and I unlocked it, allowing the others to enter my home.

"Leo! You're home!" My aunt called out from the living room,

"Yea, Aunt Marcy, sorry for getting home so late," I said to her as I walked into the living room,

"Oh that's not a problem, just call next time," she said to me, I nodded and she smiled, "I ordered a pizza, pepperoni, a large one,"

"Well good," I said stepping back into the walkway to pull Derek and the others back into the room, "because... I brought guests!"

"Derek," My aunt said getting up, she smiled at him,

"Hello Ms.Prince," Derek said giving her a little wave,

"Let me guess," she said looking over at Erica and Isaac, "your betas?"

"Hi," Erica said sweetly,

"Hey," Isaac said tilting his head,

"I'm sorry about this..." Derek started to say,

"No! Don't worry, I've lived with werewolves my whole life," My aunt dismissing him, she turned and walked towards the kitchen, "so who wants pizza,"

"I do!" Erica said following her,

"Sure," Isaac muttered following them, I looked over to Derek to see him smirking  at me,

"What?" I asked smiling back at him,

"Nothing," He said shaking his head with smile, "absolutely, nothing,"
