Fuck, that smell again!
My eyes were the first thing that woke up, before the rest of my body parts and senses followed. I found myself laying on the cold floor, hands and feet bounded. I struggled and lifted my self up, my back bones which had become stiff from however long I had been laying in the same position made a cracking noise. I let out a low moan at the feeling and rested my back against the wall. Looking around, I didn't recognize my surroundings, well I didn't expect to. At the far corner of the room was a wooden chair and just beside me was a small bed.
Why didn't they put me on the bed?
I tried to get up but the chains held to me fast. "Hello!" I called. "Anyone? Someone? Open the door please, the air here is killing!" And that wasn't a figure of speech, the air was a killer one. It seemed my lungs were shrinking up from just breathing in it, I wanted to hold my breathe so my body won't suffer such, but it was either that or death and I am not ready to die at just eighteen. "Please let me out! Is it money you want? My father has it... a lot!" I shouted even though I knew my father couldn't help, they didn't need to know that.
Just as the last words left my mouth, I heard a distant sound, followed by the clanking of chains just outside the door, followed by bolts, then the door was pulled and a man who seemed to be in his late forties walked in.
"Good morning Chidera," He greeted calmly, his hands tucked in his jean pockets.
How did he know my name?
"Who are you and why have you kept me here?" I asked trying to sound brave.
"Who am I? Well, I am offended, I thought I was well known from your side. Why don't you take a closer look," He said as he walked further into the room, stopping just where the light that came from the small bulb above, shone directly on his face.
I leaned forward looking at him, that smirk, that scar, I have seen this face somewhere before, it was... It was...
