Marinette
"Papa?" I walked into the kitchen, fixing my hair and in search of my dad.
"I'm at the counter sweety!" I hear him reply. I walked to the counter and saw the stack of boxes he was bring for career day. He had a bright smile on his face, so proud to go and show off what he does.
Papa loves his job so much, I'm pretty sure he would have married the shop if he hadn't met mama first.
That was a sentence I never expected to say.
But nonetheless, I love and admire him.
"Ready to go?" I giggled as I helped him to pick up some of the boxes which wasn't many.
"Always." He beamed and headed for the door behind me. We walked out, carefully and safely crossing the streets and making to the school which was conveniently across from our bakery.
Only the heavens - and my friends - know why I'm always late to school even though I live so close.
I immediately scan the place for my friends and boyfriend. The place was pretty scarce so it would be easier to spot them and lo and behold there they were at the bench with Alya's mom and Nino's dad.
To my disappointment, Adrien wasn't here yet. But it also worried me. Papa and I made our way over to them greeting them once we approach. The adults began to talk and I turned to the two.
"Where's Adrien?" I ask.
"Hmm," Nino smirked leaning on crutches. "Missing your boyfrieeeeeend?"
"Nino this is serious!" I sneered at him. I expected him to understand the urgency of this situation.
"Relax Mari, I texted him earlier and he said he'd be here soon. He's just waiting for Plagg so he can convince him to come." Alya said with a knowing smile. That assured me a bit but still... something didn't feel right.
"Okay." I said slowly. "So how are you liking the crutches?" I asked Nino who visibly frowned.
"I hate them. They are a burden."
"Bold of you to say that about something that is literally helping you walk." Alya laughed.
"Yeah but they're heavy!" He whined. I rose a brow and chuckled at his tantrum.
"Oh come on Nino! It's not that bad, besides it's only till your ankle heals." I told him once his cries died down.
"That's too long!" Nino growled. From behind him, I could see his dad giving us a questioning look before shrugging and continuing with the conversation between papa and Alya's mom.
"Okay fetus, there are more important things right now then your whining." Alya smacked the back of his head.
"Ouchie!"
"Those girls over there are looking at us." Alya narrowed her eyes. I turned to see where she was looking and sure enough there was a group of girls behind me and they looked away as soon as they saw me looking. "Or rather...at you." I turned back with a frown when I saw Alya looking at me.
"Right, I forgot about that." I mumbled and rubbed my hands.
Nino smiled in an attempt to comfort me. "Don't worry Mari, will handle this and everything will be back to normal."
"Right, well let's go to the lockers and get ready for the day. It's almost time. We can wait for Adrien inside since his running late." I suggested. The two of them nodded and picked up their bags before we walked off -with Alya and I helping Nino along the way.
"Probably one of Plagg's tricks to mess with him." Nino said which made us laugh cause it was probably the case.
Upon entering the locker room, I instantly regret suggesting the idea.
There standing in front of us was the Queen of Liars, Lila. She almost immediately smirked when she saw us enter which made me ponder if she had been standing there waiting for us.
"Ah, well if isn't the two timing loser." She cackled, staring at me.
I rolled my eyes, not even wanting to waste my time with her. I turned to leave. "Let's go, this room reeks of stinky liars." I heard Nino snort back his laughter and he and Alya turned around. We left Lila while she shouted from behind.

The first period came and went and to say the least, Adrien wasn't here. And I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried. In fact, the three of us were crazy worried.
I spent the entire period waiting for him to burst through the doors, apologising and giving the reason of Plagg being a idiot then sitting by me but he never came. I was staring at the door for the whole period I don't even know what was going on until Papa nudged me and told me we were up.
It's not like I was gonna do anything else. All I had to do was hold the tray of pasteries and smile which I suppose I wasn't doing to well at because Alya and Nino were looking at me with worried expressions.
The presentation ended and I handed out some samples, sneering at Chloe and trying to avoid chucking it at her face and restraining myself from shoving a croissant into Lila's throat when she smirked at me.
The bell rang and I bolted out, taking my phone out since I was itching to take it out text Adrien.
-Kitty, are you okay? Talk to us.
I stared at my phone, waiting for a reply but he wasn't typing back nor did he see it.
I felt a hand on my shoulder and I turned. Alya was there and so was Nino. "Did he say anything?"
"Uh, not at the moment." I shook my head. "But let's give him some time. He'll probably reply later." I said with a weak smile.
"I hope he does." Nino sighed. "He said he'd be fine."
"Adrien's only human Nino. Human's lie all the time." Alya muttered and shook her head.
I looked at the text worriedly. "I'll try calling him."
"Doubt he'll pick up. But we'll try texting him." Alya said. Nini nodded and took out his phone and began tapping.
I shrugged and went for it. I was worried and I didn't give a shit. I'll call as many times as I can.
I put the phone to my ear and waited. It beeped. "He's phone's off." I stared up at Alya and Nino who were both on their phones.
"Ah, that explains it." Nino nodded. "I'll call Plagg." He suggested.
Alya and I nodded simultaneously. "Yes, that's a brilliant idea!" I clapped.
"You're being quite smart today it's worrying." Alya joked.
Nino rolled his eyes then stopped. "Oh wait, Plagg is in class right now."
My smile dropped. "What?"
"Plagg has classes from nine to twelve. He probably has his phone on silent mode or on airplane mode."
"I...How do you know this?" I asked, giving him a weird look.
"It's not anything weird. The guy just says random things when his ranting." Nino waved me off.
"Wow. For an idiot you sure have good memory." Alya commented.
"Uh, I don't know how to respond to that so I'm not. But I must admit, I do have good memory." Nino boasted with a happy grin.
"Right. Now remind me to check on Adrien's text later." I laughed.
"Oh honey, I'm sure you won't forget it."
He's right. I didn't.

Nino
Lunch time is always the best time. No lessons or teachers, just me and food. As well as Mari and Alya but they aren't important at the moment (not that they ever were) because Adrien is missing.
Like normally we would have shrugged it off and said he was sick or something but he hasn't replied to any of us or answered our calls SO WE COULDN'T SHRUG IT OFF!

I mean, our...Our blonde banana.
But there was one last option we had to find out about our friend and Mari's boyfriend, and that was Plagg. He was out of classes by now and probably at home chilling.
As soon as we sat down, we clarified that neither of us received a reply from Adrien so we could move on to our last resort.
I found Plagg's name and called him, putting him on speaker. It rang for about five times before he picked up.
"Konichiwa!" He greeted in a very high pitched voice.
"Um, when did you become an anime girl?" I cringed.
"Wouldn't you like to know weather boy." He sassily shot back.
"Plagg! Where is Adrien?!" Mari exclaimed before I could reply.
Plagg was silent. "The fuck should I know, he's with you guys."
"No he's not! He didn't show up this morning and hasn't been replying to our calls and texts!" Mari cried and pulled her hair which was something she did when she was frustrated.
Plagh was silent once again. "He said he was going to school when I last saw him."
"When did you last see him?" Alya asked.
"This morning at breakfast. Around six-ish...Wait, he really isn't there?"
"No! And he hasn't been responding to us! We thought he might be sick or something!" Mari said, the hair tugging was getting more violent.
We heard Plagg calling Adrien's name. "I just checked his room. He's not here." Plagg told us, he was starting to sound worried.
"Have you check the other rooms?" Mari asked.
"I'm doing that right now! Adrien! Are you here bud?! I'll call you back!" We didn't even respond when he hung up.
I looked at the girls and I'm pretty sure we all mirrored each other's expressions.
Marinette's hair tugging was almost to the point of her ripping her hair off her skull. Alya reached to try and comfort her but a voice that we all collectively hate chirped up.
"Oh, Adrien's not here? Figures. Why would he still want to be with a two timing bitch like yo-"
Unbelievable.
It all happened so quick and suddenly but it will surely be ingrained in my head forever.
The image of Marinette socking Lila in the face will go down in the history of our friendship.
One second Mari is trying to rip her hair out the next she's connecting her fist with Lila's face. Lila squealed in shock, not expecting that to happening and fell back at the sheer force of the punch.
"SHUT UP LILA! YOU'RE THE LEAST OF MY WORRIES RIGHT NOW AND I'D APPRECIATE IT IF YOU JUST LEAVE ME THE FUCK ALONE CAUSE I DON'T CARE ABOUT YOU! I HAVE BETTER THINGS TO WORRY ABOUT THAN THE FUCKING LIES YOU SPEW EVERY SECOND OF YOUR LIFE!" After her outburst she marched off angrily, leaving Lila with a bloody nose on the ground. A crowd had gathered around us to witness the scene and I took the opportunity to clear Mari's name.
"Also everyone, the picture you saw of Mari and Luka is a misunderstanding! You see that picture was taken before Mari and Adrien were actually together!" I said, looking at everyone and hoping they'd believe my words.
"What do you mean 'actually' together?" Someone asked.
"Yeah, Luka was here last week. Weren't Mari and Adrien still together?" Juleka asked.
"Oh, shit." I muttered, remembering that nobody except us knew about the fake dating.
"So Marinetre is still a two timing bit-!" Lila tried to say but Alya cut her off.
"Finish that sentence and I swear you'll be smelling your left cheek for the rest of your life." She threatened with her death stare, that was only reserved for when she was dead serious.
Lila held her already bloody nose and scram off to whatever hole she crawled out of.
Alya sighed and looked at me with a glare but not the same one she gave to Lila. This one was more of a 'You're an idiot' look. She turned to everyone who seemed to be awaiting answers. "Look, guys. I will admit, I have been pairing Adrien and Mari since we were kids and basically prayed to the heavens that they'd get together."
"We know Alya," Rose giggled. "You two are technically the whole reason the school started shipping them."
I smiled because it was true. Memories of Alya and I campaigning Adrienette as well as making people sign a petition for them together -even though it didn't work - all came flooding back to me.
"Yes, well. The whole dating thing was just a hoax to get Lila to leave Adrien alone." Alya admitted, giving them a guilty look - as did I.
Silence.
"Um...Well, can you blame him?" Kim chuckled.
"So does that mean Adrienette isn't real?" Nathaniel asked, looking a bit too hopeful for my liking.
"No! Actually, Mari ended up falling in love with Adrien which was a huge turn of events!" I quickly assured. Though it didn't seem Nathaniel was assured.
I knew about his little crush on Mari.
That little tomato.
"But what about Luka?" Juleka asked, seeming worried about her brother.
"That kiss was before they were officially together. And might I say, if it wasn't for Luka coming back, I'm not sure if Mari would have ever figured out her feelings for Adrien." Alya smiled.
"Wow, I'm relieved." Mylene smiled happily with a hand on her chest. "I knew Mari wasn't that type of person. I refused to believe it."
"Same." Alix agreed. "And to be honest, I would have stood up for her if I heard anyone talk about jer like that. But the question is...who posted that picture?"
"Um, I'm pretty sure we all know who." Alya laughed.
"Lila." Everyone chorused, not surprised by who the culprit is.
Alya and I looked at each other with happy smiles. Our friends were out of drama and could now be happily in love.
But we still have one more problem.
My phone vibrated and I looked to see who it was. And it was who I expected.
"Nino, you gets better get here as soon as possible. I can't find Adrien." Came Plagg's panicked voice.

The last period bell was always a welcoming sound but today, I had never felt so glad to hear it.
I wasted no time. My bag was packed and I was out to go meet with Alya and Mari. Thing was, I was in crutches so I had to slowly but surely make my way out of the classroom.
I met the girls halfway down the hall and we continue. They would have walked faster but they slowed down for my sake.
"You know, at this rate will never get there fast enough." I joked to lighten the mood.
Unsuccessful.
"I called Tikki and told her to give us a ride." Mari said slowly.
"Oh." I said.

As soon as we got there the three of us got out and walked to the door, with the girls ahead of me because I was still trying to catch up in my crutches.
Plagg opened the door, looking more dishevelled then his ever been before. He looked worried and panicked and I'm sure we all were.
"Did you call the cops?" Alya asked once we sat down on the couch.
"I did but they said to wait till twenty-four hours was up before I could file a report!" Plagg paced back and forth, raking his fingers through his hair.
To say the least, those majestic locks he's always bragging about are not so majestic now.
"Well, where have you searched so far?" Mari inquired.
"The whole house, nearby shops and hotels. Hospitals! Parks!" Plagg exclaimed. "Where could he have gone!? Are you sure you didn't see him at school?" He looked at us with hopeful eyes.
"Plagg, if we had we wouldn't be here right now." Mari said with a frown.
Plagg looked to be in the verge of a panick attack. And it struck me to see him so, scared. Plagg was always a carefree guy and seeing him like this was depressing.
Tikki was patting his back trying to get him to calm down while saying words of comfort.
"We will find him guys." Tikki looked at us. I don't know but Tikki had this aura that made you feel...safe. I couldn't help but relax at the words she spoke while comforting Plagg. It felt like her words were also directed to us.
I looked at Mari, and she was crying quietly. Hell, I don't think she even noticed the tears till the touched her shoulder.
Her head snapped to me and she smiled sadly, blinking amd wiping away her tears.
"He's fine." I couldn't help but say.
"Yeah, no doubt." But her expression didn't match her words.
