The sun started setting as the outside of the store was surrounded by darkness "I told you my part of the story.... but you didn't tell me yours !" Eiji mumbles watching you fill some shelves
"my story ?" You raised a brow
"why did you choose this place...of all places you can work at ?" He nodded resting his chin on his hand
"Well...my reputation was a little faster than my job applications" you gave a weak smile "guess know one wanted to hire someone who fights with customers" you added
"From what I saw you're a total sweethearts" Eiji slightly shakes his head ,tugging your hair behind your ear with a weak smile for his complement
"besides....I don't have a noble cause like you...I just want to pay the rent !" You laughed softly "and maybe be able to help Amy out" adding as your eyes reflected sadness
"who's Amy ? Your lover ?" He seemed so intrigued to know
A customer stands in front of the cashier waiting to pay, getting up you walked towards Eiji who stayed behind the cashier doing nothing
"l-lover ?? Nah~ she's my best friend" you laughed waving your hands
"so you're single ?" He asked with a smile
"I-i am" your cheeks took on a rosy tint
"since you work on the afternoon shift, what do you do in the morning ?" He asked
"usually take care of the laundry and clean the house a little...I don't go out much, I like being home" your lips tugged slightly
"then~ how about we grab breakfast once in a while ?" He suggests smiling
"I wouldn't mind" nodding with a smile you mumbled before scanning the remaining customers items
"great" he gave a wide smile "I'll be right back" tapping your shoulder he walked towards the staff room ,probably heading for the bathroom
"Good evening" greeting a customer who skipped his way straight into the bread aisle ...squatting down "eh !....umm! Sir ?" You mumbled scratching your cheek
"ssshhh!" He hushed you , standing there puzzled when
"I SAW HIM WALK IN HERE !!" A few guys dashed into the store ,their voices boomed loudly drawing your attention
"look for him !" A young male walks in clearly pissed ,anger showing in his face
"um ! Sir you can't go in there !" You leaned over the counter when one of them walked into the staff room
"RAY !! THERE HE IS !!" The guy pulled him before landing a harsh punch on his face before the others joined in beating the crap out of the hiding male
"Sir !!!" Your voice totally concealed by the coughing ,kicking, and punching that was happening behind the aisles
"WHERE IS THE MONEY !" Ray held the guy by the collar
"I-I'm going to give it to you tomorrow...I swear !" The guy begged as the black haired male towered him
"you don't fucking sell if there's no money !! What the hell am I supposed to do with the shortage I'm facing right now !! Huh ?!" His fists punishes the guy's face over and over again, blood smearing on the white tiles of the store ,as the guy was being tossed around he slammed into shelves making everything that was once organized and neat into a huge mess on the floor
"HEY ! ASSHOLE !!" You finally yelled gaining their attention, everyone seemed shocked hearing a strong voice burst from a small figure ,light green eyes shot your way as goosebumps formed all over your body
"I'm sorry ! I didn't quite hear ya ?" Ray's eyes filled with anger walking up to you
"I'm sure I was loud enough for you to fucking hear me ! I don't care what you and your friends have going on over there ,but you can't go trashing up the store like you own it" You glared back at his towering form
"I'm gonna have to ask you to leave" your fingers quietly and slowly slides under the counter to the silent alarm button
"and if I don't ? What are you gonna do about it ?" Leaning in he whispered in a taunting tone while his fingers reaches for your left cheek, softly playing with your H/C strands as he gave a cunning smirk
"I'll call the cops on you" you slapped his hand off shooting daggers, Ray covers his faces trying to contain his laughter but miserably failed to do so, you just stared at him at a loss
your finger lingered under the counter, not knowing if you should press the button or not when all of a sudden your wrist was strongly captured in a strong hand ,feeling your heart drop to the floor as your eyes shot up to your wrist then to the owner of the hand, meeting Eiji's serious dark eyes
"don't !" He only whispers softly shifting his grip from your wrist to your pinky finger ,you managed to calm down a bit while Eiji pulled you away from the button
"Hey hey ! You're new around here aren't you ?" Ray finally manage to say between chuckles
"so what ?" You glared at him
"I like you babe ~ so I'll let you go this time" he gave a smile before snapping his fingers, your eyes shifted to his friends behind him who relaxed at the sound of the snap, you were going to get one hell of a beating and you had no idea
"so you want us to leave huh ?" Ray mumbled
"I thought I made that very clear" you crossed your arms
"then~ we'll leave in one condition" he leaned in , face inches away from yours ,Eiji slowly stepped in between you two causing you to take a few steps back, breaking the eye contact that was happening between you two
"you've got a problem big boy ?" Ray leaned back raising a brow towards the other male
"no sir...it's almost closing time and we need to clean up" Eiji's tone was calm and surprisingly....very respectful !!
"Is that so ? There's no helping it" He shrugs eyeing your small form peaking from behind Eiji
"give me your phone number" he gave a wide grin
"Hell No ! Why in the world would I do that ?" Bumping Eiji to the side you raised a brow
"I thought you wanted us to leave and stop making a mess didn't you ?" He questioned, the sound of a few boxes slamming onto the floor caused you to flinch
"sorry sorry ~ my mistake" one of his friends laughed walking out of the aisle
"fine !" You huffed spilling out your number as he tapped the numbers on his screen "if that's all you need then leave !" You tapped your feet as your patience grew smaller by the second
"don't be impatient dear~" pressing the green icon on the screen

Hanging up the line Ray gave you a deep smirk "the oldest trick in the book" your hands clutch to your skirt trying to hold your fists to yourself "I'm gonna try again...what's your number ?" He added while you gave a loud tsk
"what if I don't wanna tell you ?" You mumbled
"you don't want to ?" He raised a brow with a sinister grin, the sound of a glass breaking echoed in the store
"Oops~ my hand slipped" one of his friends dropped a glass bottle on the floor ,shattering it to pieces
"what about now ?!" Ray whispered as his friend raised another bottle in the air
"f-fine ! Just stop breaking shit ! Damn it" you sighed before giving him your real number, his lean fingers tapped on the screen, seconds later the loud ringtone came from inside the wooden drawer "well then...I'll see you later babe ! Guys take this piece of shit back" Waving his hand Ray walked out of the store followed by his friends pulling the beat up guy by his leg behind them
"shit" You cussed walking up to the mess on the floor "I'll bring the mops..." Eiji mumbled before opening the door to the storage area
"why did you stop me Eiji ? I should have called the cops on him" You walked up to him taking the mop from his hand
"you should never go up against Ray unless your wish is to die !!!" He points in your face warning you
"huh~ is he that important ?" Picking up the good items from the floor giving them a quick scan before returning them on the shelves
"Y/N just promise me you won't answer him if he ever calls !" Eiji sigh softly glancing down at you
"I would never...who does he think he is anyways" rolling your eyes you mumbled

"Well then~ I'll get going" pulling your jacket and bag from the locker you stretched your body gaining a few cracks
"I'll walk you home !" Eiji muttered wearing his thick jacket
"you don't have to" You smiled softly
"what if you bump into Ray ! Don't be careless around him" he sighed holding the door for you
"I'm not being careless ! But I doubt he'd anywhere near here ! It's been what ? Three hours already since we saw him!" You shrugged closing the lights behind you
"still~ I'm walking you home and that's final !" Resting his hands on his waist Eiji stood in front of you
"huh~ fine fine ...you can walk me home" scratching the back of your neck you finally gave in.

Walking side by side down the street, your shoulders softly touching his "where are you going ?!! The light is red !" Your hand was held in strong ones pulling you back into the sidewalk, you froze from the sudden touch but managed to calm down a bit convincing yourself that it's only Eiji
"sorry...this is the first time someone walked me home" you giggled hiding your uneasiness
Glancing at the traffic light waiting for it to turn green ,feeling his fingers gently intertwining with yours ,your cheeks grew warmer by the second, your eyes shot up to his face but he was avoiding your gaze as best as he can
"Eiji ?" You almost whispered
"hm ?" He hummed not looking at you "never mind" you smiled seeing how his ears grew red ,feeling the fast pulse of his heart against your palm ,knowing deep down that his touch is safe and genuine
"I'm home" unlocking the door you called out "Amy ?" Your voice passed all the rooms but no answer was found
"hm~ looks like she's not home yet !....want something to drink ?" You turned around facing the male under the doorframe while taking off your jacket
"n-no it's fine" shaking his head he smiles softly
"come on~ all that walking must have made you a little tired....you're not the most athletic person out there" you chuckled pulling his arm leading him into the living room
"what does that supposed to mean ?! Don't tell me you like very puffed guys !" He raised a brow taking off his jacket as well, placing it neatly on the back of the couch
"I've seen the way you eat Eiji ! And an energy drink with half a sandwich from the store's fridge is not considered a breakfast, lunch, or dinner !" You laughed opening the fridge, taking out some leftovers Amy had left
"then you hate me being skinny ?" Tilting his head he wondered
"no...I hate you being unhealthy....at least consider what you're putting in your body" you sighed, as he got lost in his own world
The beeping sound of the microwave declared that the food is warm and ready, placing a plate in front of Eiji you smile
"dig in" you sat down at your small dining table, across from him
"and you ?" He asked
"it's fine ~ I'm not that hungry" the moment those words escaped your lips, your stomach decided to embarrass the shit out of you by making loud noises
"we'll share" Eiji laughed pushing the plate slightly to the middle of the table
"fine" your cheeks turned red, grabbing a clean fork from the drawer you two sat down to a warm meal
Your phone rigs in your pocket, both you and Eiji turn all your attention to the loud ringing
"Who's calling ?!" Your hand reaches to pick up the phone
"don't answer if it's Ray !" Eiji points warning you
"would you relax ! Jeez !" Rolling your eyes answering the phone
