Remi Mae's POV
I jumped in the bed as the thunder rattled the entire house.
The rain poured against the roof of the house, making it sound like big balls of hail were hitting it.
And the light kept flickering on and off.
" Holy balls." I screamed as the thunder cracked outside.
I don't mind the rain, but the thunder caused some dramatic memories.
Jumping out of the bed, I walked over to the door knocking.
" Hey Jensen. You mind if I come out?" I asked through the door.
No answer.
"Jensen?"
I opened the door looking down both sides of the hall.
His ass left me down here.
Walking out the room, I closed the door walking to the room that all of us girls slept in.
Twisting the door knob, I walked in.
I scrunched my face up in confusion.
They were gone.
All gone.
Closing the door back, I stumbled down the dark basement hall until I reached the stairs. Walking up them I looked around.
Hearing noises coming from the living room, I made my way over there.
My eyes widened as I seen Matrix and him men sitting around with each other, and the girls sitting on the opposite side of the room.
I slowly walked in.
Charlie looked over, standing up.
" Remi what are you doing?" He asked walking over to me.
" Um, walking." I answered.
He took out his little flashlight, flashing it in between both my eyes.
I flinched at the light.
" Charlie, god you just seen me not long ago."
He sighed.
" I know, but it's my job."
I nodded.
" Well make it not your job."
I walked past him, over to where the girls were sitting.
Before sitting down, I made a quick eye contact with Matrix, the conversation from earlier flooding though.
Shaking my head, I sat down next to Devilynn.
" What are you guys doing up here?" I asked.
" It was storming and we couldn't sleep so we snuck up here." Lisa answered.
" And they are allowing this?" I asked nodding to the boys.
The girls all shrugged.
" They haven't forced us back down there, yet." Carmella answered.
The rest of the girls went back to conversating between themselves.
Devilynn looked over to me.
" So what happened?"
I shrugged.
" I was just dehydrated."
She nodded.
" A couple of the girls told me they thought you had relapsed again."
I scoffed.
" I haven't touched anything like that since you beat my ass, told me to get a grip of myself, then flushed them down the toilet."
She laughed.
" I got you pretty good didn't I?"
" Pretty good? Devilynn you broke my nose."
She shrugged, chuckling.
" Not my fault."
I rolled my eyes.
Devilynn stood up, going over to some of the other girls leaving me sitting here.
Looking over to the window, I stood up walking over to it.
The rain ran down the window, and the lightning cracked through the sky causing it to rumble.
I wrapped my arms around myself.
Feeling a presences next to me, I turned my head.
I looked to see Charlie
I continued to look out the window, trying to ignore his presences.
" Looks like this whole joining gang thing might work." He said looking behind us.
Turning my body ever so slightly to see a couple of the girls talking with a couple of Matrix people, cracking a small smile ever so often.
I shook my head turning back around.
" No, no it won't."
" Why's that?"
" Matrix and you guys kidnapped us, brunt everything we've known for the last couple of years to the ground, and brought us here to basically be treated the same way we as a girl gang fought against."
" I liked to say I'm treating you a little better than most, don't you think?"
I shrugged.
" Matrix has us all sleeping in one small compact room in your basement like we are your slaves."
" Well when you all earn his trust then you'll be treated a little better.'
I scoffed.
" You really don't understand do you?"
" Understand what?"
" Devilynn created this gang so we could stand against what men like you do. And now you all expect us to join with you, earn YOUR respect and be happy? Sorry, but I can't promise you will never do that if you don't earn our trust."
I walked away from the window, leaving Charlie to stand there.
Walking over to the couch, I slumped down.
" You good?" Brielle asked scooting closer.
" Yeah."
Or atleast I will be once we get out of here.
~~~
Jumping up at the sound of the alarm ringing through the room, I ran a hand through my hair.
I don't know what time we all went to bed, but I know it was late. The storm had finally let up, and as much as we would've wanted to stay down there Matrix forced us back into our dungeon.
Walking into the bathroom I waited for one of the stalls came free in order to use the bathroom.
After using the bathroom, I washed my hands, face, and brushed my teeth.
Once that was all done, I walked back to my bed quickly running a hair brush through my hair, then throwing it up into a messy bun.
I really didn't care about my presentation.
Stripping out of my pj's I dressed into the same old boring uniform that I was forced to where.
God I really missed wearing regular clothes.
Fully ready I walked out of the room, up the stairs and to my post.
Standing there Jazmine walked in, smiling as she noticed me.
" Hey, you feel better?"
I shook my head returning the smile.
" Yeah, much."
" Good. Better be ready to work your ass off today. We have the dinner tonight."
" Oh yay." I said sarcastically.
She laughed walking away.
Maybe I could just pass out again.
