They were childhood friends and stuff and like Sunburst got into some sorta fancy school and Starlight didn't so he was the entire reason why she was the villain in the first place so oops I guess xdBut ye after Starlight became good they met again and I guess they are canon? Idk I haven't watched neither the 8 or the 9 season yet so ye rip xd
