"You what?" My voice wavers as I debate if my ears work.
"I-I'm so sorry, Harlow. I-!" She stops when I start walking away.
"Harlow!" Kaia sobs as I start walking. I assume she thinks I was walking off pissed, but instead I grab a paper towel and dab my watery eyes.
"I'm very sorry-" Kaia's voice cracks as she begins to apologize. "I'm your cousin and I should have told you. Rena is just a whore and so is Danny."
"Kai-!"
"Rena promised me that she would help get Brody and I together. And she did! But now-!"
"Kaia!" I scream, getting her attention.
Her washed out eyes look into mine with caution.
"I don't care." I shrug and offer her a hand.
"B-But why?"
"Because I could care less about my past relationship with Daniel. I'm with Ace and I love him." I grin like a love sick puppy.
Wow.
Just thinking of Ace can make me grin and make my body bubble up with love.
"Oh Harlow, I am really sorry. I don't deserve to be your bestie." Kaia whines and takes my hand.
"I know." I roll my eyes and hand her another tissue. "Now clean up, Kaia. You look like Alice Cooper with your melted makeup."
Kaia lets out a little huff before fixing her face.
"Hey guys..." Becca's cautious voice rings throughout the restroom walls.
Kaia nods in acknowledgement. Becca's facial expression turns into shock and confusion.
She's shooketh.
"A-Are you okay, Kaia?" Becca comes closer with a pained smile.
Kaia nods and trashed away the napkins she used to wipe away her tears and smeared makeup.
"Okay lets end the horrible restroom party!" I say and start walking to class.

"Which one?" Kaia asks, while she holds up two dresses to her body.
She was getting ready for a job interview.
"The bright yellow one is nice! It goes with an ice cream theme." Becca says and I nod.
"You might get cold wearing that in an ice cream shop though."
"Oh well." Kaia shrugs as Becca pops a piece of popcorn in her mouth,
I smirk, "Does this mean I can get free ice cream with my bff working there!?"
"Ha! You wish!"
Kaia gets a ding on her phone, like a bell. "Gotta' go, bro's!" She zooms our the door like a roadrunner.
I turn to Becca who continues to stuff her mouth with Popcorn.
"You up for a Netflix movie marathon?"
"Hell yasss!"

"FUCK!" I throw my pencil watching it stick out the wall.
To say I'm frustrated would be a complete under fucking statement!
My college essay was due in a couple weeks and all I have written was my stupid ass name.
Shit, I don't even know what I want to be!
Stripper.
My parents would kill me!
Loud footsteps stomp towards my door making me yell and punch my teddy bear.
Sorry Mr. Fluffy-Pooh.
"Harlow what the hell is wrong with you?" Asher barges in my room with a black headset on. "I can't hear my teammates in Call if Duty!"
"That sounds like a personal problem to me, Ashy." I shrug and flip my curly locks aside.
"Why did God have to curse me with a asshole of a sister!?" Asher mumbles a little too loudly before running out my room.
Sighing I grab my pink pencil that was impaling the wall and get to writing.
"Boom!" I smile and toss my pencil and easer aside.
It took three hours of my precious day but I am done with my essay.
"This causes for a celebration, baby!"
I grab a random black Prada purse and head over to Ace's house.
I find Karen kneeling, pulling long weeds and planting plants.
"Hey, hunny." Karen wipes the beads of sweat on her pale freckled forehead, with the back of her sleeve.
I smile, admiring her garden work. I always begged my dad to buy me a greenhouse.
I could fill it with all types of flowers, herbs and fruits.
"I didn't know you had a green thumb..?" I bend down and offer her some help. She happily hands me a beautiful yellow marigold.
"Yeah, I find it relaxing. Also planting takes my mind off missing my husband when he goes on business trips."
I nod, being carful not to get dirt under my hot pink nails.
After ten minutes of pulling weeds, I call quits. The sun was beating down on me. I'll probably get tan lines.
I wash up in the King's bathroom. And take a sip of water.
My feet take me to Ace's room, I knock the door and wait with a smile.
"Ma! I told you I don't want to plant herbs!" I giggle when I hear Ace groan with clearly irritation.
"It's me, pretty boy!"
Almost immediately his door flys open and I'm enveloped in a massive bear hug.
"I though you were working on your essay, babe?"
I raise my hands to do jazz hands. "Surprise! I finished."
He kisses my cheek and pulls me inside his room.
I lay my head in his lap while he browses through his PlayStation. Ace stops on Grand Theft Auto before weaving his fingers through the locks of my hair.
I watch as he shoots people on GTA. I laugh every now and then when he runs pedestrians over.
After a while I take out my phone and scroll through an online gift page.
Graduation was coming up and I needed to order gifts for my friends and of course my dear Ace.
I have no idea what to get him.
Maybe a watch. I look at his wrist and already see a Rolex on it.
I can't get something better than a fancy ass Rolex.
I go ahead and order Kaia a pair of earrings. She loved the color green so I got her jade earrings and gold.
I got Becca a purse with Edward Cullen on it. She loved that dumbass series.
For Cal, I got him a pink teddy bear with a picture of the two of us of its abdomen.
Brody I got a set of twelve shot glasses. He had an impressive collection.
But for Ace I didn't know what to get him.
I sigh and kiss the back of his hand. I'll think about it later. For now I want to enjoy my time with Ace.
