The girl sighed, the air coming out as vapor due to the unusually cold temperatures this evening. Her entire body was shivering, the cold biting at her skin like some sort of annoying bug, but she didn't care. She wouldn't go back inside.

Maybe she thought that making herself feel cold will help her forget about her hardships that had been haunting her all day.

The pit in her stomach still grew and grew. The ball in her throat refused to leave, making her feel as if she was going to choke any moment. Her body felt limp and numb, as if it was nothing but a shell without a soul inside it.

Of course she knew she was being checked up on ever so often. And knew that some of her new made friends were worried for her. For example, Jisung and Jaemin coming out to ask her to come back inside since the sun will be setting soon. Or Kun trying to drag her back, but to no avail. So they just let her lay there, on the garden bench, under the pink and orange sky.

This reminded her of her Friday adventures. The one day she had full freedom and could go wherever and whenever she wanted to. Sitting on that hill, watching the sunset had been the happiest memory of each week for the last two years.

The memory made her smile weakly, her eyes dropping as she had began getting sleepy. The wind rustling with the leaves was like a lullaby to her ears, the cold nursing her to sleep. She felt all of her warmth evaporate away from her exposed skin, leaving her with nothing but the freezing.

But she didn't mind it at all.

"What did you say to her this time."

Donghyuck scoffed, turning his head towards the male that stood beside his desk. He was of course in the warmth of his room which he hasn't left ever since Soomin had stormed out. He was of course still quite pissed, but the strong emotion had slightly faded over the hours that passed.

"I didn't tell her anything." He bit back whilst glaring.

"Well then explain to me why she's being all depressed again." Chenle crossed his arms, raising an eyebrow. It was clear that he was angry and concerned, but Donghyuck could care less.

"Maybe she's homesick or something. Just leave me alone."

"I heard you arguing, what did you argue about?" The other boy persisted.

Donghyuck remained quiet for a few seconds, thinking about what to tell him. In the end he just went with his favourite answer.

"It's none of your business."
"Sure, it ain't." Chenle sighed in annoyance. "But whatever it is, go out there and apologise."

"Hell no, I ain't apologising to her." Donghyuck retorted, crossing his arms as he leaned back in his comfortable chair.

"Do you want her to die of hypothermia then?" Chenle raised his voice ever so slightly.

The other's brows furrowed. "Hypothermia?"

"Yeah. She's been laying outside in a t-shirt and shorts for a few hours now. Its May, but temperatures will be below zero tonight."

Donghyuck remained quiet, pursing his lips together as he listened.

"So please, please go apologize and get her back in here." Chenle's voice turned more pleading and desperate.

Donghyuck took a deep breath, closing his eyes in frustration.

"If you're so worried go get her back in yourself, I don't give a shit."

Chenle gritted his teeth as he gathered all of the confidence he could muster and...

"OW! WHAT THE FUCK?!" Donghyuck yelled out, hand caressing the back of his head where Chenle had just smacked him with all force.

"If you don't go out there and bring back Soomin, you're not allowed to use my gaming PC ever again." He huffed.

Donghyuck was on the verge of screaming his lungs out at the younger boy, but managed to stop himself. With a grunt, he got up from his seat.

"Fine." He muttered, knowing that he won't be able to win and has to comply.

Annoyed, he strolled out of the room, slamming the door in Chenle's face.

Donghyuck stuffed his hands in his pockets, sighing as he looked down.

"Get up."

Soomin didn't open her eyes and didn't even flinch, instead just hummed.

The boy waited for a few more seconds before clearing his throat in order to repeat himself.

"I said get up."

Soomin remained quiet and still, as if she didn't hear him at all. This was not something that Donghyuck's patience could bear with, that's why he then lost it.

Soomin gasped slightly as the warm hand wrapped around her arm tightly, yanking her up. The sudden movement caused her to open her eyes and it took her a few seconds to focus and another few to realize what's going on.

"What the fuck are you doing out here? It's 10PM for christ's sake." Donghyuck barked out at her, baring his teeth.

And despite feeling very weak, Soomin wasn't going to let him just scream at her again.

"I told you, it's none of your business." She hissed out.

"It isn't. But I need to take you back inside unless I want to get killed." He explained, trying to keep calm.

"So it's all about you again, huh."
"Just shut the fuck up and get up." Donghyuck almost lost his cool.

Soomin yanked her hand from his grip, glaring at him. "Because you just spoke to me that way, forget it. Leave me alone." She then crossed her arms, laying back down and closing her eyes.

By now, Donghyuck was just too desperate for that amazing PC setup and not wanting to get killed, so he retorted to the best, next thing. Speedily, one of his arms snaked under her knees and the other under her body. Soomin couldn't even yell out before he raised her up, forcing her eyes to open and widen.

"Hey! What are you doing?! PUT ME DOWN!" She yelled as loudly as she could, but was straight up ignored. Her powerless kicks and smacks didn't harm Donghyuck whatsoever as he began carrying her towards the back door.

"I told you to put me down!" Soomin bit out angrily.

The boy sighed, feeling sick of her bullshit. "Would you just stay quiet and calm and make this easier for both of us?"

Soomin bit down on her bottom lip, still feeling super angry, but she kept quiet. It was mainly because of the exhaustion she was feeling, the cold having completely devoured her. Or maybe it was because of the resignation and calm in his voice as he finally asked her something nicely.

But that didn't matter to her right now, her thought busy with something else.

Because no matter how much she hated him, she never wanted to leave his warm embrace.
