Mr. Jia’s expression was grim and his facial muscles were twitching.
If the altercation had been between him and someone else, he could have easily used his connections to shut the whole issue down.
But Mo Liuxi was in the industry as well. He owned his own media company.

Li Ming pursed his lips before saying, “Director Fei, I’ve decided to quit this production. You can go find someone else.”
“Li Ming.” Director Fei’s expression changed. “Don’t joke around, we’ve already had a press conference and set a date for the shoot. We even built a town to film this show. Millions of dollars have been pumped into this project already. You can’t just quit on us. Who’s going to take responsibility for the losses? And what about these actors?”
“Yeah!” Everyone was in a state of panic. If Li Ming quit the show, no other director could fill his shoes. No one else had his reputation and influence. Many of the actors were only there on the account of Li Ming.
“Director Li, I’m here for you. If you’re not going to take on this project, there’s no point in me staying,” Cheng Sheng said.
He Jian tried to persuade him as well. “I know you are on good terms with Mo Liuxi, but he did beat someone up today and he was the first one to use force.”
“Bullsh*t.” Li Ming was furious. “Look at his injuries, look at how hurt he is. I’ve been friends with his mentor for over a decade now, what am I going to say to him now that his disciple is in such a state? So what if he beat someone up? It was supposed to be a nice event, but someone had to turn it into such a slimy exchange. He was right, is this a filming crew? This was supposed to be a joyous celebration, but here you are bullying a girl, a girl that I picked from the auditions to be our singer. If you really like women so much, you should go to a whorehouse, not here!”
He slammed the table angrily.
He must have been tolerating it for a long while. He felt embarrassed about the situation.
“These actors are here on my account. How could you stand by and watch someone bully a girl like this? If you think you are so great, you can go hire someone else. You have no right to use my script.”
Director Fei gritted his teeth. “Director Li, we’ve signed a contract already. If you quit, you will be breaching the contract. You would have to compensate me with millions of dollars.”
Li Ming chuckled. “I remember a clause in our contract that stated that I am entitled to breach the contract if you threaten my reputation and interest. Aren’t you ruining my reputation today? To be frank, if you really succeeded at bullying Yan Su today, would there be any newbies willing to work with me in the future? If you really still want to film the project, I can see you in court. No one will win if this goes to court.”
He said to Mo Liuxi, “Come on, I’ll take you to the hospital.”
Mo Liuxi frowned and looked at Yan Su. “Come with me, it’s too unsafe for you here.”
Yan Su was pale when she looked at his arm. She nodded her head and followed them out.
