It was burnt to a crisp - Tondc. Everyone was just, gone as if it had never been there in the first place. Here you had been thinking that you'd wonder up to the playful village but instead, you found nothing but dead memories. There was no one in sight. Though, by the looks of things the fire or whatever this was, it had happened a while ago. Yet. no one had cared to clean it up. No one was even here.

Well that's what you had thought. Coming up behind you was Nyko. His brows had narrowed as his eyes met your back. At first, he hadn't had time to notice you. The man came here at least once a weak to mourn the dead he had lost when the missiles had been dropped. It was his home. But now it was just something to inflict past pain back on himself. Though, as he came up to you, maybe it really had done some good. Him along with Lexa and Indra had all assumed you dead. They had nothing else to believe. You had left with a man that Nyko could work out was a past leader of yours. But you never came back. You never gave any message or indication that you might be alive. That was right up until now.

His eyes wondered over the same things yours were doing. Only difference being that this was your first time seeing this. Seeing the pain that had be caused while you weren't here. "It doesn't look as bad as it used to." A voice behind you spoke.

Your body had jumped slightly before turning to face the man. You sighed, relieved that it was Nyko and not some thief ready to steal everything you had left. "Nyko," Your voice was shallow and shattering as your mind went over everything. And, to the say the least, you knew this couldn't have happened without taking a few lives.

The man pushed forward a smile, before taking you into a much needed hug. After having not seen you in so long, he really didn't know what to think. It wasn't as if Sky People would have the decency to tell either him or the Commander. "It's good to you again." He told you before letting you free from his grip.

Your eyes had move back, too focused on the deviation in front of you. "What happened?" You finally asked.

Nyko lowered his head first. He was reminded of the screams and the blood that had been caused that dreaded day. "It was Mountain Men tec. They had wanted to kill both the commander and your leader at the time. Instead, they burnt my village to the ground." The man was haunted by the doings. He had watched as his friends, family all died. Though, it was too close to home as he knew it was similar to what Finn had done. He just used a gun instead of a missile.

Tondc really was nothing but a graveyard of memories now. It had been past saving. The survivor's of the attack fled as quickly as they could. Nyko had just made sure not to leave too far out so he would still be able to back his way back here. Because this had always been his home. Swallowing, you lifted your head to meet his. "How many died?" It was a question bound to come up but that hadn't made it any easier. People had died. The ones that you tried to protect on the day of the massacre.

"Too many to count." Nyko pushed out. He had lost so many. He had lost his home, his family, his friends. He had lost everything.

Pushing back the water brimming in your eyes, you faced the man. He had never deserved this. You believed he wanted peace. Just like you did. "I'm so sorry, Nyko." He could only nod at your apology before the two of you yet again fell into another arms at the pain of the burnt down village.

Once pulled away from the hug, Nyko went to move the topic along. "The commander would like to see you." His words made your brows fall knitted. Your first thought being because she wanted you dead. You knew Lexa. She was ruthless leader and wouldn't hesitate to take anyone's head off when it was needed. Nyko caught on to your worry, ready to calm your thoughts. "She'd like to know your alive. She trusted you, Y/n." Despite the fact you had come from the sky, Lexa saw your intentions. More importantly, she understood your morels. And when she heard about your departure, she couldn't help but feel the lost of those morels.

"Where is she then?" With the war over, Lexa had no need to be anywhere near Sky people. And, from what Emori had told you, Lexa had betrayed them. You highly doubted she'd want to surrounded by the people she had betrayed.

By now, you and Nyko had begun walking away from the fallen village. "Polis, the capital." He answered. Lexa had mentioned the place very briefly to you. It had actually been one of the last things she said to you : something about how she wanted to make your title of her second official at the capital. Or, Polis as it seemed to be named.

Nyko continued you guide the two of you until you reached his horse. He knew you wouldn't get far without one. Polis was a long way from Tondc. "It's a few hours ride." He informed you before gesturing for you to get onto the horse.

You did as he asked, the man controlling the horse to get to where Polis was. He had only been there on a few occasions. His home had been Tondc. Going to Polis was not something he really ever found himself needing to do. But now his home was nothing but dust, maybe leaving would grow on him. Not to mention, he would gain much respect from his commander by bringing you back. A lot of the grounders trusted you, including him. So when they learnt that the one Sky Person that had began to break the line between Skaikru and Trikru was dead, they couldn't help but feel that loss. Though, they never really had lost you. Well at least they thought they had.

However, getting to Polis was going to be harder than you had expected. Unknowingly to you, Ice Nation were lingering around Trikru woods. The clan had been planning an attack on Polis for a long time now. And with Mount Weather down, they saw this as their time. Their Queen wanted to go against the commander and take over all the other 12 clans. And if they spotted both a grounder and the presumed dead second, they wouldn't take too nicely.

Which had been the exact reason Nyko stopped. His eyes landed on their white war paint. There were 2 of them. But you were both defenceless. "What happened? Why did we stop?" You questioned, still not sure about this awaiting war Ice Nation were planning. If they were going to send a message, what better way than to kill one of the only people the Commander trusted?

"Azgeda." Nyko answered you, already swinging himself off from the horse. You didn't know much of the clan. Only the basic information Lexa had mentioned. This hatred they we're building up for their Heda was completely beyond you. But Nyko knew the troubles, he knew the danger. So, once you were down by his side, he raise his hands up in surrender. "Osier meu nu hiar." (We mean no harm) Nyko warned the Ice Nation warriors.

They had only found his words laughable. Letting Trikru leave without getting what they deserved? They would be killed by their Queen for such stupid things. One of the men smirked as his eyes landed on you. He had heard the rumours. The whisperings about the Commanders already dead second. "Chon ste em?" (Who is she) The man asked. Though, everyone knew he had already answered that question himself. He just wanted to see how either one of you had reacted.

And, quite frankly, you hadn't taken too well to it. You saw it as a threat. This rumoured title Lexa had given you had really only put a kill order next to you. Because if someone had you, or killed you, they had an advantage over the Commander. So, instead of answering the man, you went behind you, back to the horse. Nyko had kept a sword down by the horse's saddle just in case. And you were pretty certain this was on of them cases.

With one glance to Nyko, he nodded knowingly. He went first, taking the first of the Ice Nation men around by his first, pushing him the ground. You went next, taking to next warrior into your grip as you held the blade to his throat. "Chit ste em yu ent?" (What is it you want?) You asked the man, only pulled the weapon closer to his throat as you awaited his answer.

"Wamplei kom head." (Death to the commander). It was a short a simply answer. Though, that hadn't stopped you from growing irritated by his words. He was ignorant. Then again, you were unaware of this delicate war that was beginning to rumble right bellow your feet. You had left before a war and now you had walked right back into one.

The warrior saw this as an advantage. His threat had made you vulnerable. The other man saw that to. So, just like they had bee trained, the man bellow Nyko pushed the man off him. His movements hadn't taken you long for the blade in your hand to loosen. Again, you became vulnerable. You hadn't even been able to watch the things he was doing to Nyko as the man in front of you took your own sword for your hand, turning swiftly as the blade caught your side. However, unlike Nyko, this wound wasn't new. The man had only open the same one that had been healing the entre time you had been in the Bunker. You had hardly been alone from Murphy for hours and you were already undoing the wounds you had once healed.
