Jungkook entered the party as the loud music blasted everywhere, everyone was taking drinks, not caring if they are legal aged or not. The couples were making out in the corners where everyone was placing bets and playing games. Such a carefree and happy environment, but only for some. For the 11, their mind was just on that text message and the meaning. Jungkook was wearing his white buttoned shirt and his black jeans. Looking like the hot guy he is. For a normal party, Jungkook would have been playing with girls and drinking, but today he was just focused. He called for his friend Yugyeom as they both talked.
Jennie was talking to Joohyun, who was just throwing shitty comments at the outfits of some girls. Normally, Jennie would have joined her in it but today she was just running her eyes around the whole place.
For the first time in 2 years, Taehyung also joined the party. Aside from swimming club parties, he would always skip but today he had to. He was just talking to his friend Baekhyun, more like Baekhyun was telling him the stories, which he wasn't interested in right now.
Rose was alone in the corner, she was back after 2 years, she definitely missed out a lot. Thankfully, she was accompanied by Wendy, one of her friends as well, who she kept in touch with.
Jisoo stood there with Miyeon who was busy drooling over Taeyong. "Hey miss, down to Earth" Miyeon snapped her fingers in front of her. "Sorry," Jisoo said.
Jin was just sitting on the couch, staring at that message, thinking about what may happen.
Lisa was on the dance floor, standing. Minnie pulled her onto the floor but Lisa wasn't interested. She was just thinking.
For the first time, Hoseok rejected a dance offer. He decided to just sit on the stool and look around the whole place.
As for Jimin, he was standing with Soojin but today he was in his own world too. Normally, he would be talking to her with the most cheesy pick up lines and flirt with her until it's time to go, but today he was different too. "Hey, you okay? You look pretty distracted?" Soojin asked, keeping her hand on his shoulder. "Yeah... Sorry I am just a bit nostalgic somehow" "It's okay" Soojin replied
Yoongi was a bit glad that Soyeon couldn't make it to the party because he wanted to just focus on what the message was about.
The 11 were all thinking about one thing, "Today was supposed to be Somi's birthday". If she didn't disappear, they would be at her big villa in the countryside, celebrating happily and playing games with each other, munching on pizza and other snacks, talking about school life and other things. They would definitely be much happier than they were right now.
Everything was going totally fine, until 11:32 pm, the lights went off as everyone started shouting things like what is happening? The night itself was very dark, the stars were hidden by the clouds and it was a moonless night. The heartbeat of everyone increased as the lights weren't turning on.
15 minutes later, the lights came back. Everyone took a heavy sigh but then a shout was heard. It was Jennie's. The whole crowd went to her and asked
"What happened Jennie?" a girl Sowon asked her
"Look at this" Jennie pointed to the floor
With red color, something was written on the floor. It looked like blood
"Go to the backyard" Hoseok read loudly for everyone. A strange feeling tingled around, the 11 felt this was what the message was talking about. Everyone who was present at the party ran to the backyard. As soon as they enter the backyard, a cold gush of wind passed by as a shiver went down their bodies.
"Guys, what is this?" a girl called out, as the whole crowd looked where she pointed, everyone gasped as they looked at the ground. X was marked and above it was written "Dig". Bang Chan gulped before saying "Guys dig and see what's there". Such a highschool student to say, after all, they weren't expecting what the 11 were thinking. The least they could expect was a box filled with guns like the one in the movie they saw when they were 13? Some fellow boys started digging and then there they all shouted as in front of them, in the soil was a skeleton
The skeleton was a bit decomposed, but then Rose saw something on the skeleton's hand, a band...
"Guys, that band" Rose said as she walked forward, as she sat on her knees
"It's Somi's" Jungkook said trying to hold his tears.
The four girls sat on their knees as the tears started flowing down their cheeks, the boys too started crying silently. The crowd moved a bit backward, the 11 weren't believing it. It was like a nightmare, to see her dead boy.
"She can't leave us" Lisa shouted
"This has to be a dream" Taehyung muttered under his own breath as even Yoongi was losing it,
"Somi why did you leave us like that" Jennie whispered
"This has to be a joke. I don't take it, I don't accept this" Namjoon spoke up
"All these years, she wasn't missing, she was dead. We dreamt of her coming back but she left forever." Rose shouted as she coughed a bit because of her crying hard.
"I can't take it. This isn't it." Jin said closing his eyes
The police arrived shortly, as they interviewed everyone who was present at the party. From the host to the waiter, everyone but they only asked a few questions like where did you find this body, and then they took it for DNA test. The 11 were not knowing what was happening, they all just looked at the police and the ambulance. The 11 shortly went to their home, locking themselves in their rooms to finally cry out that Somi was no longer with them
Next Day
The 11 decided to skip school that day. Their parents agreed on it, even Jennie's. The eleven were disturbed. They were locked up in their rooms, not wanting to eat or drink anything. They were just looking out from their window, remembering the good old times, when they all were together, and when Somi was alive.
Jisoo laughed as she saw Jin in the pool with Lisa, Hoseok, Taehyung, and Jungkook. "You like Jin so much right?" Somi popped off from nowhere as she took a seat next to Jisoo. "What?" Jisoo asked trying to hide her red cheeks. "Come on Jisoo, I know you like Jin," Somi said biting her lip. Jisoo looked on her side and then back to Somi, "okay, maybe I do". "I knew it, but I can also imagine you with Namjoon or Yoongi," Somi said lying on the grass. "Oh no, I am pretty sure, I only love Jin. Love triangles are dramatic as fuck" Jisoo replied back. "Okay then, I ship you both, Jinsoo is the ship name," Somi said happily as Jisoo blushed. "I promise you Soo, I will set you up with Jin," Somi said giving her a high-five
Jisoo smiled a bit as she remembered that day when she told Somi about her crush and she promised her. "Somi, you promised me that you will set me up with him, but how will you? You are no longer here" Jisoo said closing her eyes.
"Aye, what are you cooking?" Somi happily chirped around in the kitchen as Taehyung looked at her. "Nothing much, just pancakes" he replied. "Which one?" she asked tying her hair in a bun. "Strawberry" he replied back. "Oh My God, that's my favorite" she happily jumped, giving him a back hug. "You are the best TaeTae," she said as he chuckled.
Taehyung was crying too as he remembered those times when she and he just used to be the happy duo together. He never was even able to tell her about his crush on her, and it hurts him to date.
"Aye Pabo, why are you sad?" Somi asked sitting next to Jungkook. "They broke their promise again," Jungkook said lightly. Jungkook's parents were business people and never made time for him. "Don't be sad, they must have reasons, you wanna go to the amusement park? I have got 2 tickets." Somi said looking at him, smiling. "Yah Somi" Jungkook engulfed her in a hug. "You are like my brother Kookie," Somi said happily, "yeah, we even share the same last name" Jungkook chuckled
"Somi I was like your brother, then which sister leaves her brother like that" Jungkook whispered looking at the blue sky
All of them were remembering those good old times, they spent with Somi and of course, with each other.
"So I got gifts for you all" Somi said taking out a bag, as the twelve sat in their regular cafe. "For what? It ain't friendship day or your birthday today" Yoongi asked her. "It ain't but still." Somi replied, "so what are they?" Jennie asked her leaning on the table. Somi took out 12 bands from the bag, each in a different color, and on it was written the famous 12. The friends smiled as they looked at those 12 bands. "These mark our friendship. We will be friends forever. No one can break us apart" Somi said looking into everyone's eyes and giving the purest smile. "Yes, we will never break our friendship," Lisa said as Jimin added, "Yes, we will be the Famous 12 forever"
The eleven friends remembered that day well, searching their drawers, and there they found their bands. The promise was broken, and there was no way they can fix it out now.
The door opened to Lisa's room as her mom entered.
"Darling, the Enniks are having a prayer ceremony for her soul tomorrow in the church, we all are going there" her mom informed her as she left.
Not just Lisa, they all were informed about it, tomorrow they were going to be praying for their best friend's soul. Such a thing, they never thought of.
