I woke up the next morning to Kayden happily cleaning the room I was staying in, he stopped once he saw I was awake and giggled. "Oh! Master Link! Good morning! Did you sleep well?" I nodded tiredly "Yeah, I slept great but I'm still tired" I laughed, he smiled "oh, of course Master Link. After defeating Calamity Ganon, you definitely deserve rest." I smiled, "thanks Kayden, I appreciate that." I got out the bed, got dressed and grabbed my equipment as Kayden went back to the front desk. I knew I had to tell Sidon my feelings today before Zelda and I checked in with Ruta and then left to visit the others, as I walked out to the front desk Kayden grabbed my attention. "Master Link, Prince Sidon is looking you." My heart started to race, Sidon still wanted to talk. This was my chance to tell him my feelings I still had, after we appeased Vah Ruta I was going to tell him but I had to leave to defeat Ganon, then I was going to tell him yesterday if it wasn't for Uncle Dorphean wanted to talk to me. I checked on Zelda and she was still sound asleep, I walked out the inn and looked around for Sidon.
Being unsuccessful, I thought the best next thing would be to check in with Uncle Dorphean to see if he had seen Sidon recently this morning. I walked into the throne room and waved to Uncle Dorphean. "Good morning Link! How did you sleep son?" I smiled lightly "Good morning Uncle Dorphean, I slept great thank you. Have you seen Sidon this morning? He said he still wanted to talk after last night, I've looked about for him but I don't know if I'm just not looking properly or is he busy in a meeting or something?" I asked, slightly blushing. "Yes, I spoke to Sidon much earlier this morning. He had a dilema he wanted to discuss from a few weeks back." I furrowed my eyebrows, "what dilema?" Uncle Dorphean smiled, humming before answering me. "I think it be best if you went and talked to Sidon about it now instead of me telling you. He's down at Mipha's statue right now as he does in the morning." He told me.
I can't believe I basically walked past him this morning as I went around the back of Mipha's statue and up to the throne room. "Thank you, Uncle Dorphean. I'll go see if I could find him." I said slowly walking out and heading back downstairs to the Domain's square. Sure enough, I found Sidon with the same distressed look upon his face as he had before facing Ruta. He spoke though I'm sure he was unaware to my presence. "Mipha, dear sister. I wish you were here to guide me through this....I miss you terribly..." I smiled sadly at Sidon "I miss her too Sidon." He turned as soon as he heard my voice, and looked at me with a smile. "Link!" He blushed and rubbed the back of his neck. "You....heard all that, eh? I'm afraid you caught in a moment of vulnerability. Link....I am sorry you had to see me in such a moment of weakness." He nervously smiled.
As did I. "Don't worry Sidon, everyone has moments like that, which is healthy because you don't want to keep things bottle up." He nodded listening to my words, "I just wish there was more I could have done during the fight with Ruta." He said wistfully. "Sidon you've done all you could, You were a great help to me too, I couldn't have even got near Vah Ruta if you didn't help me. You have been nothing but positive and enthusiastic even at the worst of times, your home and the surrounding area was in danger of being destroyed and you still kept that bright smile on your face." He smiled bashfully at my words, "thank you Link. I really appreciate you saying that I just want to make my father and more importantly Mipha proud, that's all I want."
I smiled at him. "Sidon, they are so proud of you. I'm so proud of you too, everything as been a lot to take in for both of us." I smiled as brightly as I could at him. He smiled just as bright, before a look of realization took over his face. "Anyway, Oh! Link! I must thank you!" I laughed. "Sidon, I'm sure you've thanked me once or twice before." I said, chuckling. "Well, yes but I am still thankful for your efforts and I can't but express it. You still somehow overcame the objections of the old gezzers on our council, all to help save our home!" Sidon started being as compliment as he was when I first met him. "Yes, you are a treasure of a Hylian! Taking time out of your journey to come to our rain- and monster-ridden home! And here you activated those orbs with shock arrows, freed Ruta, released my sister from her lingering regret, my father seems happier than usual especially after talking you with yesterday... but anyway Link....I simply can't thank you enough! Especially for following me to the end, pushy and unreasonable as I am!" I could take Sidon's positive attitude and compliments but I wouldn't take Sidon degrading himself.
"Sidon, please don't say that about yourself. Your not pushy or unreasonable of any kind, if anything you the complete opposite. You are kind, caring, positive, enthusiastic, need I go on?" I raised my eyebrows at him, He chuckled and shook his head. "No, Link I think you've made your point. I won't ever say anything of the sort again. Anyway back to the point." Sidon took a deep breath before continuing. "Zora's Domain and the rest of Hyrule would still be in peril if not for you and the princess of course. You are welcome anytime, and we are ever at your service!" Sidon then began to get back to the energetic Sidon I knew and began thanking me again. "Have I mentioned how incredible you are? And how thankful I am? Because you are! And I am! Yes, you are the greatest of all Hylians and my most treasured friend for all time!" I smiled, and laughed at Sidon's enthusiasm about Hylians and our friendship. "Sidon, thank you again. You're a very treasured friend of mine too, and Sidon, how many Hylians have you actually met?" I asked him, he stroked his chin before answering. "Well, I only met you and Princess Zelda. But Link, I would like to think all Hylians are is splendid as you two!"
I nodded, "I wish that were true Sidon, but there are some Hylians out there who are quite opposite of splendid." I chuckled and Sidon made an confusion expression. "Oh, wow. I didn't know that." I smiled. "Oh, Sidon you are brilliant."
Sidon's POV
I really loved Link, I just didn't know how to tell him and the longer I took to confess, the more I ought to just blurt it out of excitement and love. I know it to be quite childish of me but my attraction to Link is only growing every second since he left after stopping Ruta. I didn't want him to leave then, though I knew he had to fulfil his role as the Hylian Champion, and defeat Calamity Ganon. Compared to everyone else in the domain whether they're the guards, elders or the female Zoras of the domain he only treat me respectfully mostly because I'm royalty..... but Link didn't. He treated me respectfully because he genuinely liked me. The only other person who treated me like that is my father. Link is just so sweet and caring and just perfect to describe him in one word.
"Hey, uh Link. I've um.....I've been meaning to tell you something ever since we appeased Vah Ruta and I wanted to tell before you entered Vah Ruta but I just couldn't say the words when I wanted to and then I thought to tell after but you had to leave to help the princess with Calamity Ganon so I...." I was feeling the words I wanted to say slowly leaving me. "Sidon, are you alright? You seem like you're trying to tell me something but you're hesitating." Link told me, as I snapped out of the daze I didn't know I was in. "Ah, sorry. I'll continue." I was doing it. I was going to tell him. Right now.
"Link. Let's go to my room, we'll have more privacy there." We advanced towards my room and sat in the position we did last night on my sofa, Link looked at me and smiled. Oh goddess, this was it. The words were finally said. "Link. I..... love you....I want to be more than friends, I cannot stop thinking about you. I really have fallen for you since the moment we met." Ok, it's out now. It's time to see if Link feels the same, he smiled and sighed "Sidon." He started, I gulped. Oh no, he didn't feel the same did he? "Oh goddess I'm sorry my friend, I did not mean to intrude your personal space and I completely understand if you don't feel the same I just thought I'd tell you. Goddess, I am such a-" I was cut off by Link holding his hands up and shouting in defence. "No, no Sidon. You didn't do anything wrong, I'm just surprised that you feel that way because I was actually looking for you to tell you the same thing....." He trailed off, smiling shyly.
I beamed at him, I was so happy. "Oh, Link! You have no idea how happy I am right now! If you'll have me Link I would like to pursue a relationship with you. My hope is that the relationship will blossom into the truest and greatest passion of relationship with every second I spend with you, Link I-" I was cut off by Link as he pulled me in a desperate kiss. I was startled but returned the kiss anyway with just as much intensity pouring all my feelings and love into the kiss, I felt my body starting to heat up. The kiss we shared was long and the best experience of my life, I lifted Link into my arms and laid him down gently on my bed. He wrapped his arms around me and continued to kiss me.
Link's POV
I couldn't believe this was happening I was so happy, I was kissing Sidon. He was moving his large hands up and down my back and then tangled his sharp claws in my hair, I moaned into the kiss and Sidon did too. This was what I wanted right now, I wanted Sidon more than anything.

Hours later, after rounds of tender love making we both fell back in bed panting heavily, sighing with euphoria. Sidon barely managed to part from me to collapse beside me. I had absolutely no idea how we laid wrapped happily in each other arms, the bed coverings draped across our bodies. I lifted my head from Sidon's chest and smiled at him, he smiled back and kissed my head. He stared at the joint between my shoulder and neck, he kissed that too. "I'm sorry, it was just part of my instincts to mark you as my mate." I nuzzled his chest. "I'm glad to be your mate, Sidon. I love you." He smiled sleepily at me. "I love you too, my precious little pearl." I felt my eyes closing and I soon fell asleep to Sidon's soft heartbeat, snuggling with him. The power of our new feelings rushing through us as new lovers.
