Plot: Karasuno has a match against one of y/n's childhood friend. Y/n cheers for both team during the match but instead it lowers Kagayama's motivation.

It has already been a few days after y/n had confessed to Kageyama. To her surprise he accepted her, he told her that he had also secretly liked her but didn't know how to approach her about it.
"Hey y/n! Did you hear? There's gonna be a light thunderstorm today," y/n's friend said as she approached her. Y/n was sitting at her desk, revising some notes and looked back up at her friend.
"Oh really? And what about it?" y/n asked.
"I didn't bring an umbrella, is it okay if we walk back together?" Asked her friend.
"Oh sure," y/n replied. Soon y/n had finished her last class and was getting ready to go home. It was already slightly raining and the sky was dark outside. She knew that the rain would get worse soon.
"I'll wait outside the classroom, just meet me whenever you're ready," her friend said and went out first. Y/n nodded and packed her bag quickly, suddenly a buzz came from her bag. She reached out towards the vibrating object and pulled out her phone.
The screen turned on and her boyfriend's name appeared at the top. She quickly swiped over the message as a smile already crossed her face.
'Hey, I'm having a match rn. Do you want to come support?' said a text message from Kageyama. Y/n thought for a moment and frowned.
'Sorry, I only have one umbrella and my friend didn't bring her's,' she texted back. Her message was quickly read, and soon she got her response.
'You can walk back with me, I brought mine,' y/n smiled as she read that text over one more time before quickly typing back.
'Okay, I'll be at the gym soon!' she replied before placing her phone back into her bag, then went to grab her umbrella and walked out of the classroom.
Her friend spotted her and soon approached her. "Hey, you ready to go?" Asked her friend.
"Sorry, I'm gonna go support Kageyama's match. You can borrow my umbrella, just make sure to bring it back tomorrow," y/n answered as she handed her friend the umbrella. Her friend nodded and walked off first, turning back to wave her goodbye.
Y/n quickly made her way to the boy's gym, hearing a bunch balls bounce around from the inside must mean the match hasn't started yet. She slid the door open as quiet as possible so she wouldn't distract the guys and quickly made her way to Kiyoko and Yachi.
She stood next to Kiyoko and waved to both Kiyoko and Yachi, making small talks with them while still watching the boys warm up.
"Y/N!" A sudden voice yelled out from the other side of the court. Y/n turned her head to where the voice came from, she then saw a tall boy in the opposite team running up towards her and pulling her into a big hug.
"Ah I can't believe this, I haven't seen you in so long! Do you remember me? I'm Haru!" The boy said as he pulled away and placed his hands on her shoulders instead.
"Haru from when I was six?" Y/n asked as she slowly started to recognize the boy.
"Ah so you do remember me, I'm glad! You didn't change at all, you look exactly the same."
"Oh...thanks? As for you, you certainly got taller." She said as she looked him up and down, giving him a smile. Haru laughed and shook his head.
"Nah, I'm not that tall compared to my teammat-," haru's line was cut off as Y/n got pulled away from his grasp. She looked up behind her and realized that Kageyama had one of his arms around her while staring dead into Haru's eyes. "Oh, and who's this y/n?" Haru asked as he pointed at her boyfriend.
"Oh this is Kagey-"
"Her boyfriend," Kageyama said as he cutted y/n's line.
"Oooh so you even managed to get a boyfriend now, what a lucky guy he is!" Haru laughed as he chuckled at her. The other team's coach yelled from across the court, telling Haru to get back to warming up which startled almost everyone in the court. "Ah sorry to cut our conversation short, don't forget to cheer for me too. Bye y/n!" Haru waved as he jogged back towards his team.
"You can get back to practice now," Y/n said as she moved her boyfriend's arm away and pushed him gently back onto the court.
"Alright alright, but call me if that guy is troubling you again." Kageyama replied before running back to doing warm ups. After a few spikes and set, the match finally began. Kageyama was of course the starters setter, as for Haru he was a wing spiker. Asahi was at the back of the team, ready to start the game with his serve.
"Nice serve!" Noya yelled. The ball then flew over to the other side of the net as Asahi sent it with his powerful serve. Haru's team quickly reacted as they picked up the ball, getting ready to send it back.
"Nice receive!" One of them yelled as their teammate sent the ball over to their setter, the ball was set into the air and Haru didn't hesitate to slam the ball into his enemies territory, giving them their first point.
"Alright!!" Haru yelled as he pumped his arms into the air, while his teammates congratulated him all around.
"Nice kill Haru!" Y/n clapped, Haru smiled and sent a thumbs up back. Y/n nodded at him and turned back to the Karasuno boys "It's okay! Let's get the next point guys!" She yelled. The guys all nodded at each other and started to strengthen their play.
After a few points earned by each team, Karasuno was lucky to be able to win the first set with a comeback thanks to Hinata and Kageyama. Currently the guys are playing their second set with the score of 23:22, making Haru's team in the lead.
"Focus on the ball!" Daichi yelled, looking more serious than ever. His teammates responded to him by giving him a loud grunt. It was one of Haru's teammates turn to serve, he tossed the ball into the air and gave it a hard smack, sending it to the so called crows. The ball would've been an easy point for Haru if Noya didn't retrieve it quickly.
"Kageyama!" Noya yelled as he sent the ball over to him.
"Okay!" The setter replied as he tossed the ball into the air for Hinata. Hinata quickly jumped in the air and spiked it down to the other team, or so he thought.
Haru's arms loomed over Hinata deflecting his spike, earning a point for his team instead.
"Alright! Match point!" Haru yelled.
"Nice block Haru!" Y/n called out to him. Haru returned her compliment with another charming smile of his. Y/n smiled back and turned her head back to the boys. There she saw her boyfriend having a frustrated look on his face, he stared intensely at his fingers while gritting his teeth.
"It's okay, we'll get the next point!" Tanaka reassured as he gripped Kageyama's shoulder from behind.
"Get off of me!" Kageyama responded as he shook off Tanaka's hand and walked away from him.
Just like Tanaka reassured, the crows did score the next point. Making the scores 24:24 now. The game continued as Hinata sent a serve to the other team, Haru's team had successfully received Hinata's serve and sent it back to them. Daichi was able to receive their ball and sent it over to Kageyama.
"Nice toss!" Noya yelled as everyone's eyes landed on Kageyama. The setter raised his hands in the air, preparing to toss the ball but instead the ball slipped off his fingertips and landed on their side of the court instead.
"Yes we're at match point!" Haru yelled, looking over to y/n quickly and waved at her. Y/n responded by giving him a thumbs up.
"UGHHH! I'm sorry!" Kageyama apologized as he bowed to his teammates.
"It's fine, let's get the next one." Asahi encouraged.
The game continued as Haru's team served back to the crows and Daichi receiving it.
"Kageyama!" Daichi yelled.
"Roger!" Kageyama replied, jumping into the air to toss the ball. Instead he tried to go for a feint but failed as Haru saw it coming and quickly blocked it. The ball deflected and fell right in front of Kageyama's eyes. Hinata's quick reflexes kicked in as he saved the ball with his foot instead.
"One touch!" Hinata yelled out. Noya got the message and jumped in to toss the ball, Asahi jumped and his palm made contact with the ball, slamming it across the net and into the enemies ground. Making the scores tied again.
"Nice kill!" The team yelled, as they got ready to serve. Asahi jumped in the air and slammed the ball with his palm, sending it over to the other side. The ball barely made it across as it was pushed against the net a little bit.
"Net in!" Haru yelled. Sadly his team were one second too late and missed to save the ball.
"Match point!" Daichi announced. Karasuno's ace made his way to the back of the court, gripping the ball while waiting for the signal to serve. The sound of the whistle rang through the gym and Asahi performed a powerful serve.
Haru's libero quickly received the ball and sent it to their setter. The setter then took control of the ball and sent it to one of their wing spikers.
Luckily Tsukishima was able to loosen the strength of their spike by slightly blocking the ball.
"One touch!" He yelled.
"I got it!" Noya confirmed as he bumped the ball towards their black haired setter. "Kageyama!".
Instead of tossing it for Hinata, Kageyama jumped in front of the ball and spiked it down onto the other team, ending the game then and there due to the other teams slightly slower reflexes.
"Alright!" Tanaka and Noya celebrated as they ran and hugged Kageyama.
"Nice job Kageyama!" Tanaka congratulated.
"Um thank you," Kageyama replied. The boys then went to line up in front of the net, facing their opponents one on one each. Kageyama stood in front of Haru, he glared at him and even scoffed at him a bit, hoping Daichi didn't catch him doing that. As for Haru, he saw Kageyama's unfriendly actions and only smiled back at him.
"One, two, three!" Daichi counted.
"Thank you for the match!" The volleyball players thanked as each of them bowed at their opponents.
As everyone began cleaning up and packing their stuff, Haru quickly made his way to his old friend.
"Ahh sorry I wasn't able to win today, I would've been really sad about losing but thinking that you cheered for me during the match really made me happy!" Haru smiled as he lightly punched y/n's shoulder.
"That's okay, practice makes perfect. Just keep practicing and you'll get better!" Y/n encouraged.
"Yeah, I'll practice harder! But you have to come to all my games, I need special support!" Haru replied as he gripped both his hands together happily.
"Ehhh well maybe not all but for sure some," Y/n corrected.
"Sure sure, anyways can I have your number. We should definitely catch up some time soon."
"Oh sure, here it's 07-"
"She doesn't have a phone number," Kageyama answered as he stood in between y/n and her childhood friend.
"Ummm, I pretty sure she does pal," Haru protested.
"No she doesn't. Let's go y/n," Kageyama replied before pulling his girlfriend close to him and race walked towards the exit. Once they were out, Kageyama opened up his umbrella since it was still lightly raining and placed it above y/n and himself. The genius setter and his girlfriend then began starts to walk home in the rain together.
"Why are you so easily trusting around other people? You shouldn't let your guard down that easily," Kageyama started.
"Well it's not like I just met Haru, he use to be a close friend of mine," Y/n replied. The two stayed quiet until they reached y/n place. Y/n couldn't help but feel tension in the air, she couldn't help but get irritating vibes from her boyfriend.
She walked to her doorsteps and turned around to wave her boyfriend goodbye, she then twisted her door handle open and was about to push it open when her boyfriend stopped her with his words.
"I don't like it when you cheered for him during that match!" He started. Y/n was shocked but she understood him, she closed the door and walked back towards him and under the umbrella with him.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you sad. Was that why you were more frustrated today?" She asked. Kageyama stood still for a bit but then gave her a small nod back.
"I only want you to cheer for me," the boy said as he looked down embarrassed. Y/n smiled at him before pulling him down to her height and kissed him on the cheek.
"Alright, then from now on. I'll only cheer for you." Y/n promised. Kageyama paused then turned away from her, blushing a bit.
"Boke, y/n boke....I love you," he smiled.
