Narrator POV
C is in the locker rooms putting on Shiketsu when Ryuko walks up to him.
Ryuko: Do you think this is a good idea?
C: Relax I won't kill him. Besides it's all for fun. The only one I want to see squirm is Kiru.
Ryuko: Why?
C: I just don't like assholes. I figured I could knock him down a peg.
Ryuko: Well...be careful Babe.
C turns around and looks at Ryuko.
C: Of course, Beautiful. Besides I got Shiketsu.
Ryuko: I know.
C leans in and gives her a peck on the lips.
Ryuko: By the way, how do you know if I'm your Ryuko?
C: There's no way I could mistake you for another, and you're not wearing Senketsu.
With that he leaves the locker room and heads out into the arena. On the other side stands Adriel. He has his arms crossed as C approaches him. They stand an equal distance from each other as they have a stare down.
C: You ready for this Adriel?
Adriel: Are you?
C simply smirks in response as E and X enter the commentators booth.
E: This is sure to be an absolutely insane battle. Before the match began we went through some of Adriel's memories to see just how what he could do.
X: Of course we kept this information from C to make this fight fair.
E: So ladies and gentlemen take your seats because it's almost time for the exhibition match to begin!
The small crowd of C's friends and the newcomers cheer.
Red: Kick his ass Adriel!!
Ryuko: You got this Babe!!
E: The rules are simple! X, care to explain?
X: Yes. There are no ring outs, the match will continue until an opponent cannot battle or if one yields, and the fighters can only use the weapons they start with. If the fighter can't call a weapon to them or open portals to reach your weapons then it can't be used.
E: Basically you can't leave the arena. The ring can be left, but not the battlefield itself.
X: Not like you can once the match starts anyways.
X pushes a button and a barrier forms over the arena. It glows blue before becoming completely transparent.
Adriel: So what's the point of having an elevated ring to fight on?
C: It looks nice.
Adriel just shrugs and nods.
E: Fighters are you ready?!
C smirks and pulls his Scissors out.
Adriel gives a thumbs up.
E: FIGHT!!
C rushes forward as Adriel holds out his hand.
Adriel: I call forth Blue Buster!!!
A sword with a blue blade forms in his hand. He blocks C's Scissors and they both push at each other. C then kicks his foot out connecting it to Adriel's stomach. He launches back before sliding to a stop. C rushes forward and jumps up. He swings down at Adriel.
Adriel: INVINCIBILITY!!
A shield forms in front of Adriel and blocks C's attack. C kicks himself back right before Adriel goes for a slash.
C: Huh. So you can summon a sword and shield. Anything else?
Adriel: Come over here and find out.
C smiles and rushes in. They clash until Adriel pushes up with Invincibility making C stumble and then Adriel slices at him making C fly back. Adriel rushes forward, closing the gap between them.
Adriel: PYRE BLADE!
He sword glows and let's off a heatwave as C simply smirks.
Adriel: Infinity Slash!
C blocks ever strike from Adriel before swinging his own making Adriel slide back. He stops himself and points his sword at C.
Adriel: Triple Fireball!
Three balls of flames launch towards C and he leans back dodging matrix style. He pops back up only to be met with Blue Buster going right for his throat. C at the last second dodges back, but still comes out with a cut across his cheek. Adriel looks over at him as he touches his cheek.
C: If you can prove that God bleeds, then people will stop believing in him, but don't get too cocky.
The cut on C's cheek closes as he and Adriel have a small stare down. They both rush each other slicing at the other. As they keep going, Adriel slides back and points his sword at C.
Adriel: FLAMETHROWER!
The flames surround C as Adriel smirks. Suddenly the flames disperse and C just sits there with a bored expression.
C: Elemental attacks won't work on me.
C rushes forward and slices with his Scissors. Adriel blocks the attack, but is still launched back a little.
Adriel: Whirlwind!
Adriel starts spinning like a top and launches himself at C. C seems a little caught off guard, but quickly blocks the incoming attacks. Once the attack ends Adriel stumbles a little bit, clearly dizzy.
Adriel: Oh fuck.
Tatsumatsu: I think I'm going to vomit.
Adriel: Can clothes vomit?
C: Probably, but I don't think that's all to important right now.
Adriel does a complete turnaround and sees C with his blades raised. Without thinking Adriel swings his Blue Buster.
Adriel: DORIYAH!!
The attack actually connects and makes C fly back with a cut across his stomach.
C: Okay. OW!
The cut closes fast and C smirks at Adriel. C then rushes forward, but then teleports behind Adriel. He slices down and then kicks him in the back. The blow makes Adriel fly forward and faceplant. He quickly rolls back to his feet and sits there.
Adriel: Water.
The water heals Adriel and he stands up straight.
C: So what's the plan? You want to just go ahead and give up? It would save me the trouble.
Adriel: Tatsumatsu, you ready?
Tatsumatsu: Always.
Adriel: LIFE FIBER MAXIMIZE: KAMUI TATSUMATSU!!
Adriel is surrounded by a blue glow and he dashes at C. C blocks the strike, but it's clearly stronger than before.
C: You actually going to make me sweat now?
Adriel in response simply belts C across the face. C jumps back from Adriel and smirks. Adriel then looks up at the ceiling angrily.
Adriel: Alright if there was ever a time for you to listen to me, Author-kun it's now! Play my music!
C chuckles and cracks his neck.
C: You're in my world. You won't be getting any help outside of this arena, but Old Scars/Future Hearts right?
C snaps his fingers and music kicks on.
Adriel rushes forward and slices. C dodges and then goes for a stab as he stabs downwards the Scissors open and he pushes them into the ground with Blue Buster between them. Adriel pulls at the blade to try to free it, but C decks him in the face making him fly back. He skids across the ground and the his eyes shine blue. C suddenly stops and a look of confusion comes across his face.
C: WHAT THE HELL?! WHY CAN'T I MOVE?!
Adriel locks eyes with C and smirks.
Adriel: ULTIMATE MOVE CONSECUTIVE FALCON PUNCHES!!
C smirks as he sees multiple flaming falcons approaching him. They all hit and Adriel looks like he isn't even striking, but the Breed and all the other multiversal warriors could see that he was just throwing punches much faster than normal human eyes could keep track of. C flies back before pushing his hands down ripping up the arena as he slows to a stop. He sits up straight as he heals the damage done to him.
(Cut music)
Adriel: No way! That killed Nui how can your regeneration be better than a Life Fiber being's?!
C: Comes with the perks of being the elemental of time. The Life Fibers help too.
C smirks and grabs Shiketsu's zipper.
C: I think it's about time we take this seriously right Shiketsu?
Shiketsu: Let's.
C rips down the zipper. Shiketsu is covered in his blood and then the Kamui explodes into threads and covers C's 'area'. Then a beast of red flames with silver eyes rises up, comes down, and chomps down on C. Threads tighten around the beast and C stands where it once was. The outfit tightens around his legs and arms accentuating his muscles. Shiketsu tightly hugs his sides. C clenches his fists as two eye appendages shoot out of the collar bone.
C: LIFE FIBER FUSION: KAMUI SHIKETSU!!
C smirks at Adriel as the crowd has mixed reactions. The gang from KlK don't really respond to the transformation due to it being so commonplace, but the ones from REM lose their minds. Yang has a nosebleed, Blake just blushes lightly, Weiss straight up looks away, and Ruby...well...
Ruby: FILTH! FIIIIILTH!
C and Adriel both rush at each other with their fists raised.
Adriel: DORA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA RA DORA!!
C simply meets every one of Adriel's fist with his own until he parries the last one by ducking down and grabbing Adriel's arm. He throws Adriel over his shoulder and slams him into the ground. He then lifts his fist and goes for a strike.
Adriel: Invincibility!!
The shield blocks every one of C's hits and Adriel uses it to push back C and get to his feet. C doesn't let up on his strikes against the shield.
Shiketsu: C the shield is invincible. I don't think you're getting through it.
C: I'm not trying to. I'm just conditioning him to hold it up.
Tatsumatsu: Dude you're not getting anywhere just defending!
Adriel: I can't do any damage to him what am I supposed to do, Tats?!
C touches the shield with his left hand as it glows sapphire blue. He then swipes his hand across the shield making it shatter like glass.
Adriel: What?!
C kicks him dead in the stomach making him slide back. He rolls to a stop and looks up.
C: I figured that would work. Your shield might have been invincible, but it still occupied space, so my spacial control could easily make its atoms spread apart. Almost like they were never held together anyways.
Adriel: Hmm. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
Adriel reaches into his backpack, but can't find what he is looking for.
Adriel: WHERE IS IT?!
He looks over and sees what he was looking for in Kiru's hand.
Adriel: Aw I knew it would eventually betray me.
C: So do you give up or...?
Adriel: One last attack...the attack to end it all.
Tatsumatsu: But Author-kun said-
Adriel: What he doesn't know won't hurt him. Get ready, C. Here it comes. ONE HUNDRED RENDING FISTS!!
Adriel closes the gap between them and goes for very quick fast strikes.
Adriel: ATATATATATATATATATATAT
ATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATATAT
C dodges all of them and at the last one a sudden pulse of red energy goes off slowing down Adriel to a complete stop, but everyone outside the arena sees everything at full speed.
C: Nice try, but I've met Kenshiro. He's a pretty cool guy, and you lack any and all form he has. Besides that I don't think you even know the right points to hit. Here let me show you the non lethal ones.
C quickly and accurately taps on Adriel before letting time start back up. Adriel spasms for a moment before falling to a knee.
Adriel: How?!
C: Like I said, I met Kenshiro. He even let me in on the basics of Hokuto Shinken. Never used it before, it would end fights to fast, but I do know it. Also
C decks Adriel in the face sending him flying into the arena's wall.
C: I win.
A horn goes off signaling C's victory. C then rushes over and heals Adriel. The crowd cheers aside from the asshole, Kiru, and the girlfriend of Adriel, Red.
(Cut music)
C: Not bad man. Let me know when you get stronger, and I'll definitely fight you again.
E: Did you see that amazing match, X?!
X: It's not like I left the booth.
E: Aw don't be a spoilsport.
X: C's biggest advantage was the gap in their stats.
E: And now you're ignoring me?!
X: C was simply to strong and hardy for Adriel to do any meaningful damage.
E: And to top it off a large part of Adriel's abilities have no effect on C. If C wouldn't have been able to use any element to his advantage it's possible Adriel could have won.
X: It's also possible that birds are all a lie made by the constructs of our minds, not likely but possible.
E: Right. Possible doesn't mean sure thing, but still that fight was exciting hopefully the next one doesn't disappoint either.
C walks over and pulls his Scissors from the ground before picking up Blue Buster and tossing it to Adriel. He catches it and they both shake hands before heading to opposite locker rooms. Once inside Adriel sits on a bench and let's Blue Buster disappear.
Adriel: I couldn't even do anything. I've still got a long way to go.
Red: Do you really?
Adriel looks up and sees his girlfriend identified by the name tag comically hovering above her like a player icon in a video game.
Adriel: Hey Ryuko.
Red: Look, I get that you lost, but think about it. You're here competing against people who we know nothing about and they're from completely separate universes.
Adriel: Dimensions technically.
Red: Whatever it is, you don't need to get as strong as them. You're already plenty strong as is. Besides it's not like you're going to have to fight people like him all the time.
Adriel: Yeah. I guess
Red: Look, I'm just trying to make you feel better. If you want to get stronger, get stronger, but I think you're pretty great how you are.
Adriel smiles at that and stands up. He pulls Red into a hug which takes her completely off-guard. She hugs back and they eventually separate.
Adriel: Thanks, Ryuko.
Red: No problem.
Meanwhile back in his locker room C is leaning against the lockers still in Life Fiber Fusion. Someone walks in and C looks over expecting Ryuko, but instead it is..
C: Yang?
Yang: Hey Hot Stuff. Awesome match! It has all of us on...the edge...of.... our...
She looks at C with a little bit of drool coming out her mouth and C looks confused until he looks down and sees that his is still in Fusion mode with Shiketsu. He walks up to Yang and snaps his fingers in front of her face.
Yang: HMM? Oh right sorry. I was just coming by to congratulate you.
C: Thanks Goldilocks. Now you might want to head back to your seat. The next one starts soon.
Yang nods and leaves, but as she does she passes by Ryuko. She grabs Ryuko's arm, so Ryuko turns to face her.
Yang: After you're done talking with him, can we talk?
Ryuko nods and Yang let's her go. Ryuko walks in the locker room and taps C's shoulder. He turns around and sees her.
C: Hey Beautiful.
Ryuko: Nice job out there Handsome. Think you can keep it up.
C: What kind of question is that? Of course I can.
Ryuko: I'm just making sure you don't over exert yourself. I'm going to go back to my seat. I'll see you after your next match.
Ryuko kisses C's cheek and leaves. On the way out she sees Yang leaning on a wall waiting for her. They walk back towards the stands in silence until Yang breaks it.
Yang: I won't apologize for loving him. That brief relationship I had with him was some of the best moments of my life, but I will apologize for not taking you into account the way I should have. I-
Ryuko: Apology accepted.
Yang: Wh-What?
Ryuko: I said I forgive you.
Yang: Just like that.
Ryuko: Don't get me wrong, if it wasn't for the circumstances I would want to rip you to pieces, but C shared his memories with me. I'm assuming he did it for you at some point too.
Yang: A couple of times yeah.
Ryuko: Well I don't know if it's because I'm an elemental or if he was just really open with me, but he shared with me not only memories, but emotions too. I could feel how much he loves you, and how much he loves me. I was afraid that they would be the same kind of love and he would have to battle his own feelings as to who he loved more, but that's not the case.
Yang: What do you mean?
Ryuko: C loves both of us romantically, and I know exactly why and how much so. So I'm not going to tell you to stay away from him or make sure you know he's mine, because I don't have to. He's doesn't want to hurt either of us which is why he won't cheat on me again especially with you. He's afraid of leading you on and ruining your life and he's afraid of losing me and hurting me, so he won't try anything.
Yang:...
Ryuko: And from what I've seen, you're not a bad person. I couldn't see you intentionally being a homewrecker. So like I told him, I'm not mad about it, I'm just not too happy it happened.
Yang: Well, thanks for having some sort of trust in me.
Ryuko: No problem. Oh and for what's it worth, from what I've seen, I can definitely understand how he loves you.
With that Ryuko walks up to the stands and to her seat as Yang sits there with a smile. She walks back to her seat as C and Kiru walk into the arena.
E: LADIES AND GENTLEMAN, GET READY FOR THE NEXT EXHIBITION MATCH!!
