Shōko POV
I was in a hallway listening to music, humming along with the melody. But then I could hear footsteps coming from behind me so I turned around.

"Shu-chan...?"
Shuuya gave me a tired smile.
"But... I thought that Endou-kun..."
Shuuya: "You can ask Sumire later about it."
"Ah..."
I see... Sumi-chan probably made him come to me.
"Well..."
The two of us became quiet. Then I turned away from him.
"Have you been taking care of yourself? Shirabe says you don't come home much."
Shuuya: "Yeah."
"...I see."
Shuuya: "You... found it, huh?"
I put my fingers to the ring on my left hand.
"...Mhm. I found it when I left."
*Flashback*
I was packing some clothes because I would be leaving soon.
"Stupid Shu-chan... Risking your life for all this..."
Shu-chan and I fought over his plan to protect soccer. Our fight turned even into a bigger one when Shu-chan said he was going keep Shirabe with him.
I paused my packing and wiped some of my tears.
"...Didn't you say you'd always be with me? I want to always be with you but if you're risking your life to do this..."
*sniff*
I looked around our room, it was dark but I could still see everything. I looked towards the bed cabinet.
"Ah right my photo album should be in here..."
!
Ah... this is Shu-chan's side cabinet but...
"What's this tiny box doing here?"
I picked up the box and then opened it.
!
...There was a ring inside.
...Shu-chan, you really are an idiot.
I covered my mouth so it was hard to hear me crying. Then with shaking hands I took the ring out. I held it tightly in my fingers.
*Flashback end*
Shuuya: "I see... I was surprised when I saw you wearing it."
"...Are you going to tell me properly?"
Shuuya: "Eh?"
I clench the ring tightly.
"...Nothing is holding us anymore, right? Then..."
I slipped the ring off my finger and was about to turn around until...
!
I felt strong arms hugging me from behind. I froze.
"...Shu-chan?"
I couldn't his face but then again I couldn't see anything but the ring in my fingers.
Shuuya: "...I've made you wait for too long. Sometimes I think I don't deserve you anymore."
I felt my cheeks turn red.
"That's my line...but then again maybe making you wait for more than year doesn't matter anymore haha..."
Shuuya: "...I love you. That hasn't changed."
"...I love you too."
Shuuya: "I can't say anything but that to make up for everything. But even so..."
Shuuya's hands moved from my shoulders to my hands and he held onto the ring with me.
Shuuya: "...Will you let me have the honor of you being my wife?"
I gripped the ring tightly.
"...Of course."
I felt Shuuya put his head on my shoulder then he slipped the ring on my left hand. Then he let go of me and I turned around to face him with happy tears in my eyes. Not making eye contact with him, I buried my face into his chest.
"You know... you're never fair, Shu-chan."
Shuuya: "...Only with you."
"Hehe... that's not it."
Shuuya: "Eh?"
We let go of each other and I looked at him. Then I took out what I had in my pocket.
Shuuya: !
"...It's not fair that you beat me to it."
Shuuya: "Shōko..."
What I pulled out of my pocket was my own engagement ring that I had gotten for Shuuya. He smiled at me and pulled me close before I slipped the ring onto his left hand. After I put on the ring we looked at each other and kissed.
3rd POV
Kirara: "Calm down, Shirabe. I'm sure they're fine..."
Shirabe: "But..."
Miria: "Mhm, it'll be fine Shirabe-chan."
The three girls were waiting together anxiously. Kirara and Miria tried their best to reassure Shirabe but she couldn't help feeling uneasy. That's when something popped into Shirabe's head.
Shirabe: "Now that I think about it... nothing is holding you anymore right Kiri-chan?"
Kirara: "Huh?"
Shirabe: "You can tell Amemiya-san how you feel, right?"
Kirara: ! *blushes*
Miria: "Eh? ...EH?!! H-How you feel?! Kirara-chan then do you...?!"
Kirara: "Ah! Nothing at all! Nothing at all! Nothing at all! Noth-"
Shirabe: "Kiri-chan has a crush on Amemiya-san."
Miria: "Really?!"
Kirara: "WAAAA! Shirabe stop!"
Miria: "I didn't know you had a crush, Kirara-chan..."
Kirara: "N-None of that matters right now! Ah! Now that I think about it..."
Kirara gave a teasing smile.
Kirara: "This means you can confess to Shindou... right~"
Shirabe: "Eh?"
Shirabe turned a little red.
Shirabe: "What are you..."
Miria: "Eh?! S-Shirabe-chan you have a crush on the C-Captain?!"
Shirabe: "What... n-no I... W-Well what about you, Miria-chan?"
Miria: "Eh?"
Shirabe: "Do you have a crush on someone?"
Miria immediately thought of Tsurugi and her face turned completely red. She quickly cover her face with her hands.
Miria: "That's- um I- ah-"
Miria couldn't even form a sentence and kept stuttering. Kirara gave her a teasing smirk.
Kirara: "Hehe, let me guess. It's Tsurugi."
Miria: "Wha- Ah- EH-"
Kirara: "Are you going to confess to him anytime soon?"
Miria looked down hiding her face.
Miria: "W-Well... I was thinking about after Holy Road was over..."
Kirara: "Wah! What perfect timing then!"
Shirabe: "The two of you did always look like a couple."
Miria: "I-I've been meaning ask... why do you say Tsurugi and I look like a couple anyway?"
Shirabe and Kirara looked at each other then tilted their heads.
Kirara: "You mean you've never noticed?"
Miria: "Eh?"
Shirabe: "I've always thought Tsurugi's always had this protective aura around you."
Miria: "Protective Aura?"
Shirabe: "Hm... it's like he always wants to be the one to protect you and it keeps the rude people away...?"
Kirara: "That's a terrible explanation."
Shirabe: "Well I don't know how to explain it properly..."
Kirara: "From what I see, Tsurugi has a soft spot for you. So he might come to you first out of everyone."
Miria: "I-Is that so..."
Kirara: "Your face says it all, Miria."
Miria looked away. Then soon the three heard footsteps. They all turned to where it was coming from.
Shōko: "The three of you what are you doing here....?"
The three of them saw Shōko and Gouenji holding hands. Then the three girls smiled and Kirara nudged Shirabe's arm.
Kirara: "Told you it'd be fine."
Shirabe smiled back at her. Before walking up to her parents.
Shirabe: "...Is everything okay?"
Shōko: ! "...Mhm. Everything okay."
Shirabe's eyes lit up and she looked at Gouenji. He gently patted her head.
Gouenji: "Thank you for everything, Shirabe."
Shirabe: "No... I should thank you...!"
Shirabe ran into her parents arms hugging them tightly while Miria and Kirara smiled watching them. The family was finally back together.
