I put her on her side and then I feel her hum.
"Mason? Mason? You awake?"
She looks at me then smiles. What in the hell...
"I want pickles and Nutella."
I help her sit up and stand and she walks to the the kitchen. Esme just stares. "Are you feeling okay Mase?" She asks.
"Duh."
She grabs the pickle from the jar and dips it in Nutella. I lean closer to Esme and whisper to her, "Remind me not to eat out of the Nutella." She nods.
