This was going to be, admittedly, the dullest summer I'll ever have.
I'd been looking forward to a break after finishing my first year of uni, but it clearly hadn't worked out that way.
Visiting my Aunt's house may have been exciting for me when I was ten, but I had long since learnt that the large house didn't mean endless fun; only possibly for the adults. And I mean to say the middle-aged or elder adults who spent their time buried in things like chess, porcelain dolls or China plates.
"Skylar!" mother calls, "We're leaving in ten minutes, are you ready?"

I take my suitcase from the hallway and roll it down the stairs, my brother covering his ears at the ridiculous bumping.
