First Place

This Is Your Captain Speaking by TheNightSong

Cover: 4.5/5

Grammar: 17/20

Plot: 23.5/25

Total: 45/50

Praise:

'This is your Captain Speaking' was straight up the shoo-in. TheNightSong delineates the story with pronounced details, sharp twists and a dystopian ring to it. Around every corner, Reyna's death awaits as she battles her fears, emerging victorious. The story takes a climactic turn to reveal it was all a distraction from something bigger, and more sinister. It has just the right amount of hilarity, wit, bravery and suspense. A well-deserved win.candidcara, Mystery/Thriller judge

Second Place

L'affaire Bob by Rarefan

Cover: 3.5/5

Grammar: 17/20

Plot: 22 /25

Total: 42.5/50

Praise:

"Days after the attack, a man was found dead streets away from the Champs-Elysées. The poor man's shirt was indeed stained with blood, but there were no signs of knife cuts or any kind of fighting injury in his chest." L'affaire Bob hooks readers from the very start as they sit on the edge of their seats, eager and in anticipation of the secrets that time unravels. Re-defining time travel, it takes us on a journey to another dimension; it is appreciable on end, with a little humor here and there, the perfect read- vastly entertaining.candidcara, Mystery/Thriller judge

Third Place

Lunatic by OHrielyy

Cover: 4/5

Grammar: 16/20

Plot: 21/25

Total: 41/50

Praise:

Lunatic is this very bold portrayal of the peculiar whims of our mind. It weaves a way through Tyler's mind, shows us just how gory mental health can get. A poignant psychological thriller, that has readers overwrought in suspense of Tyler's actions and feeling towards Sheanne (the deuteragonist). Definitely worth the read- it deserves more recognition.candidcara, Mystery/Thriller judge
