I held my head as Fefe continued insulting Snr Dann. I and Chioma watched with a bored expression as Fefe continued to rain insults on him.
Every day Fefe always had something to say about Dann. To Fefe, he wasn't just cold and indifferent. He was a bully but I knew well that Fefe never won in any exchange and was always looking for opportunities to insult him.
"Fefe, that's enough. He's not here" Chioma said tired.
"The guy needs help jare" Fefe said as I snickered at her.
"You both need help" I replied as Fefe turned to me.
"I don't need help. Its Snr Dann who needs help" Fefe shot back.
"You both sweetie. You've been around him for too long, you are probably affected already by what's worrying him already" I replied as Chioma burst into laughter and Fefe almost turned green.
"What do you mean?" Fefe asked as I shrugged.
"Nothing nah. If Snr Dann is normal then you are but..... " I allowed my voice to trail off as Chioma burst into laughter again making Fefe climb unto her bed and cover herself.
"You don vex be that?" Chioma asked.
Fefe ignored her and Chioma laughed before walking out of the dormitory.
"Your box braids is fine" Fefe said turning to me.
"Ehn ehn" I said touching my newly made hair.
"I thought you were going to do one million braids ni" Fefe said with mockery as I laughed.
A smile fitted its way to my face as I touched my hair. I wondered why Phil will say when he saw my hair.
"What are you doing for your house?" I asked as Fefe frowned.
"Nothing. All those SSS3 seniors will come and they will seat down and be talking. They will not even tell us to do anything. If not because of Clinton and the rest; God knows that we will not be doing anything" Fefe replied as I burst into laughter.
"Even that one will come and he will seat down and be reading. Even if others are not doing anything, isn't he supposed to lead by example? He will seat down with that icy face and be reading. If books have to enter your head before you know it, I'm sure he will be a dullard because the books will reach his icy face and turn into water" Fefe added and I burst into laughter.
I held my stomach and rolled on the floor. Fefe was going to be the death of me.
"Ehn ehn o, you people. I heard Funmi and Jasper broke up" Chioma said walking into the dormitory.
I sobered up immediately "Ehn? Jasper and Funmi?" I asked.
"Yup" Chioma said seating on my bed.
I pouted. Jasper and Funmi were another couple on our block. Jasper was a popular because he was one of the key members of the football team; it was when he started dating Funmi that Funmi also became popular.
Funmi was small and cute while Jasper was tall and handsome; they made a really adorable couple. It wasn't a year yet that they've started dating.
"Why nah?" I asked pouting.
"You don't want anybody to break up. Do you think because they look cute or adorable together, that means they don't face problems in their relationship?" Chioma asked as she clapped her hands.
"Whenever I think of people like that Funmi girl, I get embarrassed that am a female" Chioma said disgust on her face.
"What actually happened?" I asked.
"She told Jasper she was no longer interested in the relationship. I heard Jasper was even trying to make things work out only for him to hear that Funmi was already sucking up to Snr Ade" Chioma replied.
"Oloriburuku" Fefe said hissing out loudly.
"Why would she do that now? Jasper is even finer than Snr Ade. Is it because Snr Ade is rich?" I asked.
It wasn't a secret Jasper came from a not really well-to-do family. He was raised by his Uncle who paid his school fees and all. He was a humble and friendly type. I remembered we once spoke before.
Oriomo Adeyemi was ranked number five most richest guy on Senior block. His dad was the owner of Orimo Companies. A company involved in producing pure water sachet, table water and bread. And just recently; they went into jewelry and the business had been booming ever since.
Snr Ade too was a football player. I chuckled as everything came to me.
"So wait, its as if she never liked Jasper in the first place, she just used him to get to Snr Ade" I said aloud as everyone in the dormitory started talking harshly.
"Thank God I'm a guy" Fefe said yawning.
"Werey" Chioma said and everyone burst into laughter.
By the time it was time for dinner, the news that circulated around the school. The whole female population stood on Jasper side and attacked Funmi verbally. It was surprising.
Funmi's table was actually few tables away from mine. She didn't look the least bothered that everyone hated her as she ate her food. Everyone fell silent as Oni Kanyinsola, someone who opened crushed on Jasper but Jasper had eyes for only Funmi walked up to Funmi's table carrying her food.
"Hello Funmi, what's up?" Kanyin greeted.
"Ohh, its you. How may I help you?" Funmi asked with a smile. She was confident no one could do anything to her since she had Ade at her back.
I felt disgusted seeing her smile. I heard Jasper had been devasted ever since and could barely eat and here she was wearing a smile.
"Chi, I agree with you. I'm so embarrassed that am a lady right now" I said frowning.
Kanyin smiled and turned to everyone seated beside Funmi.
"Could you guys move away from Funmi please? I don't want to get anyone hurt" Kanyin said as Funmi shrugged.
"Don't try anything funny Kanyin, you'll get punished. And besides Snr Ade won't go........ "
Kanyin didn't allow Funmi to finish what she was saying before she poured her rice and stew on her. Funmi let out a loud shriek immediately.
Funmi touched her newly made hair and stood up furiously.
"Kanyin! How dare yo...... "
A slap stopped her middway. Kanyin's eyes were brimming with tears as she yelled.
"If you didn't like him from the beginning, why did you date him?! Why did you hurt him?! You bitch! You are a bastard" Kanyin shrieked loudly as the dinning went silent.
"Why would I stay with someone as poor as him? He can't even buy me one expensive gift! All he does is I love you, I care about you, yen yen yen! Who cares!" Funmi shrieked too as another slap landed on her face.
"You deserve to die!" Kanyin said as she pounced on Funmi and started beating her. The dining went into her uproar as everyone started yelling but no one made a move to stop them.
A figure broke through the crowd and pulled them apart. Everywhere went silent seeing the familiar handsome face.
Funmi burst into tears and hugged the figure as she started crying "Snr Ade, they were bullying me" Funmi said.
"What's going on?" Ade asked.
Both Kanyin and Funmi were badly bruised and Kanyin's clothes had torn a little revealing her collarbone. Funmi received most of the beating as her face was badly scratched.
"Snr Ade, I respect you as a junior but am sorry that I have to say this but this are not the kind of peoppe you should associate yourself with. They'll stain you!"
