Tuesday, 7th of January. Week 15.
"Breakfast!" Sasuke let go of Sakura's hand a walked to the door to open it discreetly. The inn's keeper was standing behind it, holding a plate full of food, with a big smile on his face. "Morning, can I give this to you?" he nodded and took it off his hands. "Also a bird arrived for you earlier on. I put the letter under the plate. Is there anything else I can do for you?"
"No, thank you."
"Very well then! Have a Wonderfull day!"
After trying to smile at him, Sasuke closed the door and moved back to the bed. He put the food down and poked Sakura's forehead gently. Her lids half opened and she grumbled.
"Are you hungry or do you want to sleep more?"
"Sleep." she rolled over and turned her back to him. He chuckled and put the food on the floor. He grabbed the letter and opened it. It was from Kakashi.
"Sasuke,
I have received the scroll. Thank you. I have nothing to update you on. The deciphering team started working on it yesterday. Hinata is well and the baby is safe. Naruto wanted to pass on a message so there it is. I hope that everything is going well for you and Sakura. Hopefully we will see you soon.
Heeeeey, Sasuke! It's Naruto! How's everything? I haven't seen you in forever. Anyway so we rescued Hinata. She's fine and all. Now I don't leave her alone just in case. I heard that you kidnapped Sakura and you're not planning on bringing her back soon. I tried to interrogate everyone but no one seems to know what's up... so what's going on? Kakashi told me that you asked him to put the mission aside until June or something but why? Anyway, write me every once in a while so I know that you're still alive. Say hi to Sakura-chan for me!"
Sasuke shook his head in fake despair. Of course Naruto wouldn't leave him alone. He had no intentions of telling anyone about Sakura's pregnancy. Tsunade knew and it was too much already. He wrote a short answer that talked about vacations for her mental health and walked back to the reception so he could send the hawk. By the time he got back, Sakura was awake. She welcomed him back with her usual beautiful smile.
"Morning!"
"Morning. There is food if you are hungry."
"Oh, where?"
"On the floor. I'm going for a shower."
"Can I come with you...?"
Her voice got so quiet that he didn't hear what she had just said to him.
"Hn?"
"Nothing, nothing!" she waved her hands but her face seemed so panicked that he got worried.
"Why are you reacting like this?"
"Nothing! My question was stupid, that's all. I'll see you later."
He shrugged his shoulders and locked himself in the bathroom. His shower was longer than usual. When he was finished he got out and herd a shy knock on the door. He opened it and found an even more shy Sakura behind it.
"Can I... can I come in?"
He moved out of the way and closed the door behind her. His towel was lazily hanging on his hips.
"Is there something wrong?" he asked.
"I'm sorry to bother you with this again but... look." he watched her body as she slowly took off the t-shirt that she was wearing. He didn't know what he was supposed to see. All there was, was her belly, bigger than last week, and nothing else. His silence was probably enough for her to understand that he didn't know what she meant. "I don't know if I am getting big enough or not."
"Last week you complained about being too big and now you say the opposite. I am confused."
"No I know but... I am fifteen weeks pregnant, I'm nearly halfway through it and I look tiny. Hinata was this size the last time we saw her."
"Maybe Hinata is getting a bigger baby. Did you do any check up? Is everything alright?"
"Yes..."
"So what are you worried about?"
"I don't know... I... I messed up the begging of the pregnancy and I'm scared that it will affect everything."
She stared at herself in the mirror. She seemed sad and Sasuke didn't know how he could make her feel better or less worried. She was the doctor, she was the one who was supposed to make him feel better. He slipped behind her as he took away the hair covering her neck. "Sakura." he whispered her name close to her ear. He saw her closing her eyes. Her presence filled his soul and he smiled against the crook of her neck. He lifted his right hand to her belly. "I think that our baby is doing fine. Maybe he or she will be very small or is growing slowly, a bit like Naruto." she chuckled and he felt her belly move. "But look at Naruto know. What's important is the end result. Either way it is our child and even if something turns out different we will take care of it." he hesitated a second but he looked at her anyway. Her eyes were full of tears.
"Do you really think that?"
He nodded and brushed her neck with his lips. He knew that he will have to step away quickly if he wanted to avoid an uncomfortable situation. The desire he always felt for her was already growing and it was very slowly taking over his mind.
This time it felt different than the time when they were in the dimension. In the dimension it felt desperate, but this time it was deeper and more intense. He wanted to connect with her, not for pleasure, but because he knew that it was the closest he could be to her and he was craving that. Because talking about that baby made his stomach turn upside down, it made him want to lay in bed and kiss her for an entire night. His throat felt parched and he knew that it was coming. His ears burned when he realised that he had to do the first move to see if Sakura wanted it too. He didn't know how to do it and he was scared that she would refuse him like the other week. Maybe she wasn't feeling it, maybe she was too tired or to sad. Maybe he was just being extremely selfish right now. He ordered himself to get it together. He was an Uchiha and Uchihas didn't fear anything, not even death.
After taking a deep breath, he moved his hand to the side of her hip while his head bended forward until his nose caressed the sensitive skin of her neck. He nuzzled her and took in the smell of spring flowers emanating from her skin. She released a disjointed breath and rolled her head back giving him more room to explore. The innocence of his touch was obviously enough for her to feel what he was feeling.
"Sasuke..." he stopped instantly, worried that he had gone too far. He was avoiding her eyes but when he felt her hand move to his hair he let out a sigh.
His hand moved up and down her hip as he slowly kissed her neck trying to transfer all the love he had for her into the kiss. He had an affinity with the softness of her neck and could spend hours just brushing his lips against it. He felt her pulse going faster by the second. Her fingers tangled in his hair. He left a little raindrop kisses on the column of her throat and moved his hand to the side of her cheek and he cupped it. His thumb caressed it lovingly. His heart pounded in his chest and he felt his lower abdomen warm up. His unsteady fingers moved to her right breast and he touched it shyly. Her reaction woke him up and he fully grabbed it. It was bigger than before, much bigger and he wanted to feel it with his mouth.
She turned around to face him. The minty colour of her eyes pierced his soul and he felt the depth of her love and happiness deep in his chest. It hit him like a strong gust of wind and it created a storm inside of his body. It unsettled him and he found himself staring back at her candidly. He was hypnotised by her eyes that reminded him of the forest he deeply loves, he stared at them until he drowned in them. His mind travelled to all the times had found her beautiful, to all the times he had desired her. Even back when he was only a kid he secretly admired the purity of her beauty. It was so innocent and dangerous at the same time. The way her hips rolled she walked invaded his mind. These hips the he avidly craved and always wanted to touch were now in front of him. He loved the way they had moved against his body. He loved how they had teased him before leading him to his breaking point.
She smiled at him and it broke the illusion. He was back to reality and realised that he hadn't been breathing for the last minute. He took a deep breath and watched her bit her lip. His mouth slightly opened ready to kiss her. Her hand reached out to him and she caressed his cheek gently.
"I love you." captivated as he was, he didn't even realise that the words came out of his mouth finally freed from the cage that he had put them in. Her smile grew bigger.
"I love you too."
She approached him and kissed him. It was gentle at first but it intensified when she brought her body close to his. His lips danced with hers and he sadly broke the kiss when he was out of breath. He took her hand in his and reeled her away from the bathroom back to the bedroom, his eyes never leaving hers. Her hands felt his chest and her eyes moved down to his body. She watched him and he felt so naked that he wanted to run away but didn't. She covered her face with her hands and he instantly got worried that maybe she didn't want him anymore. Maybe she didn't feel attracted to him this way anymore.
"What-"
"I-ashamed."
He knew where she was going with this. She was ashamed of her body and didn't want him to see it. He could see her nervousness all too clearly and this will not do. He grasped her wrist and brought it to his shoulder. He wanted her to wrap her arms around him like she always did. Then before she had time to say some nonsense, he pressed his lips on hers. He felt her body loosen up. Her hands moved to his bare chest and she finally let them free to move on it. Each one of her touch was sending electricity inside of his body. She seemed unable to stop and Sasuke's body warmed up.
Their kiss was slow again but it made him quiver. It quickly grew into something more ravenous. She finally wrapped her arms around his neck and moved to the tip of her toes. He felt Sakura's chest produce a sigh as he forced her closer to him.
They stumbled backwards and he fell onto the bed, her on top of him. His heart drummed in his chest making his breath fast. A heavy throbbing coming from between his legs made him uncomfortable. He looked up at her and he was charmed by her kiss swollen-lips. He loved that sight of her.
