Flutter (Korean: 프러터) often stylized as FLUTTER, is a South Korean girl group formed under Melon Entertainment. The group consists of 11 members, Yoojung, Lacee, Kokoro, Iera, Jordyn, Sara, Angelina, Sophia, Arianna, Satomi, and Sakura. The group debuted on July 19th, 2016 with the single I WISH.

2007-2016: PREDEBUT AND FORMATION.
On September 3rd, 2007, Kokoro was drafted as a Kenkyuusei for the JPOP girl group AKB48. She was quickly moved up in January 2008 and she was moved to Team A. In 2011 she became a Kennin when she debuted with HKT48 in team H. In late 2015, Kokoro was given the opportunity by Melon to debut with Flutter, Kokoro took that opportunity and started preparing for debut. Kokoro announced her graduation in October 2015 and that she would release a graduation single alongside Takahasi Minami. She officially graduated on January 23rd, 2016, 8 years after she debuted. However, in 2018 during Flutter's Japan debut she reunited with her former members and appeared as a special center in the single "Teacher Teacher".
On January 4th, 2014, Melon announced that the Melon Garden Trainee Team 2 would be debuting in a huge girl group. Team 2 at the time consisted of the Flutter Members excluding Iera, Lacie, and Kokoro, plus as a few other trainees who would soon debut in the group Hi-9. After that Melon went silent about the announcement for a long time until in on March 12th, 2015 he announced that the Older Members (Yoojung, Jordyn, Sophia, Sara, Shiru, Angelina, Yoora, Yuyan, and Arianna) and Younger Members (Jess, Satomi, Sakura, Eunji, Semi, Sunhi, Luna, Yena, Aeyeon and Eun) would debut separately.
Then another announcement came out in August 2015 that only Yoojung, Jordyn, Sara, Angelina, Arianna, Satomi, Sakura, Eunji, and Eunjung would be debuting. In January 2016 it was announced that former plediz trainee Weici, the CEO's daughter Hyunjoo, and akb48/hkt48 member Kokoro would be debuting. There were no further announcements until May 5th, 2016 the first teasers were released. But the once again, they went silent until Melon Announced that Eunji would be removed from the lineup to debut in a later group and Sophia would be joining instead.
