Progress check on my journey through RB Season 2: currently on episode 8.
Miku's POV
"That's Optimus's call alert," Heatwave declares one day.
We rushed to the communications centre to find my sire (father, for those who don't know) looking rather anxious but sad. "Something's up, I have a feeling," I told Heatwave before entering the communications centre.
"Greetings, Rescue Bots. Team Prime is currently needing one of you on the field," sire started.
"I'm in, Optimus. Anything to help the team," Heatwave quickly said.
"Thank you for your interest, Heatwave. However, the bot I am seeking for is a femme. To be exact, Miku."
What? Why?
"She currently harnesses the power to destroy our enemy, Unicron. I, as well, have the power, but if I sacrifice myself to exterminate Unicron, Earth will be doomed in Decepticon servos," sire added.
I hesitated for a moment, then stood up in confidence. "I'll do it."
It took a few arguments to let me go. Before entering the ground bridge Ratchet has set for me, Heatwave quickly embraced me. "Promise me you'll come back safely," he said firmly, trying hard to not leak his optics. I held both of his servos gently and kissed him. "I will. Don't worry about me," I said, smiling.
When I reached to the other end of the ground bridge, I saw many familiar faces: Bumblebee, sire, Ratchet, Bulkhead and Arcee. "Where's Cliffjumper?" I asked. "Isn't he supposed to be part of Team Prime too?" Everybot looked down. "Cliff was brutally murdered. Killed, under the Decepticons' servos," Arcee answered in anger. "Arcee, I'm sorry," I said, hugging her. "The ground bridge to Unicron is ready," Ratchet declared.
"Autobots, roll out!"
Heatwave's POV
I was pacing back and forth. What will happen to Miku? Why exactly did Optimus want her instead of me? What does Miku have that he needs so much?
"Heatwave!" Kade yelled. For the first time, I jumped from such a shock.
"Kade! Shut up," I snapped.
"We've got an emergency," he snapped back.
"I dare you to use that tone again!" I yelled.
"No more time for yelling. Heatwave, Miku will be alright in Optimus's servos," Chief tried to comfort me. "Let's move, team."
I wanted to object. Miku should be in our processors. Why aren't the others showing any worry? Kade glared at me hoping that I would get his idea. I growled and transformed.
"The bank was just robbed," Dani spoke in the com unit. "Are you sure? I don't find anything wrong in the cameras," Cody replied. "If there's nothing why are we even going there?" I whined. "First time to hear you whine, Heatwave. We are emergency responders, so obviously we would respond to an emergency right?" Kade snapped. He got a point.
"The caller said that the thieves took off in an armoured vehicle," Dani continued. "Why is Huxley following us?" Blades asked. "Ignore him. He's just trying to ask about that reality tv show he wants to do with us," Chief said, making a turn to the right. "A reality tv show? About us?" Blades asked cheerfully. "Blades, that's enough," I snapped. "What is wrong with you today, Heatwave?" Kade asked.
"I see an armoured vehicle coming from Lake Street!" Danielle exclaimed. Blades and I transformed to lift the vehicle up. Suddenly, the driver opened the door and took out a huge blade...
Miku's POV
I. Was. Afraid. I had my invisible camera drone to record the whole thing to tell Heats back home how painful and dangerous it is to be part of a war and how much training he is lacking.
In front of the group stood Megatron him-freakin'-self. According to sire, both factions Autobot and Decepticon share a common enemy: Unicron. I have the power to kill Unicron, which is the power Megatron needed the most. Sire swore to never reveal my location to him since the Rescue Bots and the humans in Griffin Rock wouldn't be able to defeat him and his troops.
Dark Energon did not affect me, but it did affect my team a lot. Megatron doesn't seem to be bothered by it that much. "Miku, follow me," sire instructed. I nodded. We walked closer and closer to Unicron's very Spark. With my power and sire's Matrix of Leadership combined, we could have been able to kill a planet. We could have ended the war easily but sire insisted that we should not use such power as it will result in unspeakable outcomes.
Sire was very affected by the Dark Energon. I, on the other servo, had opened my inner chest to release my power onto Unicron's Spark. Sire was right by me the whole time to ensure that Megatron does not take me away.
Unicron's Spark finally got extinguished. I lay down on the floor exhausted and coughing up Energon. My whole body hurt so much. "Optimus, we need to take Miku back now! Her Energon levels are draining fast," I could hear Uncle Ratch shout. "Understood," sire said as he quickly carried me into a ground bridge.
"I'm afraid to say this but she needs Heatwave's Energon, badly."
Heatwave's POV
I was stabbed at my pedes. I covered my shout and put the vehicle down. "Police-bot, power up and energise, then make sure the thieves do not escape this street!" I could hear Chief instruct. I crouched on the ground with Energon pouring out of my wound. I could feel the same pain in my Spark. It must be Miku. She is suffering. I can't let my suffering become her burden.
I recollected myself and sprayed water at the thieves. Chase quickly cover them with a net. "Heatwave! Are you alright?" Kade asked panicking. "It's just a small wound..." I replied weakly. The pain was unbearable, but I made sure that did not go through to Miku. Her condition must be far worse than my current condition. I couldn't help but collapse into darkness.
I awoke at Miku and my berth room. I could hear Ratchet's voice. I slowly got up, careful to not tangle myself with the wires I am attached to. "Heatwave!" Kade shouted. He unknowingly hugged my pedes. I smirked. "Cranky head here just became a softie," I laughed. "Easy, Heatwave. We need you 100% alright," Ratchet told me. "What happened to Miku?" I asked. "She was... badly damaged in battle. We need a syringe of your Energon so that she can stand on her pedes," Ratchet sighed. What?! Damaged badly?! "Who was with her when she was damaged?" I asked. "No time. Can I have your Energon?" I nodded.
"Now tell me who was with her when she was damaged," I demanded. "Optimus." Really?! A Prime allowed his sparkling to be so damaged?! "I understand your pain, Heatwave," Optimus said. "I don't need any comforting," I snapped. "You allowed your very own sparkling to be damaged. What kind of sire are you?! She was on the brink of being offline! Why, just why did you not ask someone else?!" I yelled.
Miku's POV
I slowly opened my optics from hearing Heats's shouting. My sire was standing there apologising to Heatwave. "Heats..." I called out weakly. He immediately ran to me and carefully hugged me. "You scared me," he muttered. I smiled. "Thank you for saving me," I said.
"Miku, apologies for-" "There's no need to apologise, sire," I said, smiling. "Besides, this is quite worth a lot to save Earth from natural disasters." Heatwave held my waist and looked at sire. "I'm... sorry for overreacting," he said. "There is no need. I understand your worry," sire replied. "Ratchet, pack up. We will be returning soon."
Dani quickly ran to us. "Photo time!" She exclaimed.
(Miku be such a bad-aft kissing Heats in front of OP 😂)
