Arthur Watts was one of the smartest men on Remnant, however, he never expected this.
Currently, the self-proclaimed genius was in the lab and was looking at his latest device that he had created, one that both bring back Salem and create a new Salem from nothing. This was gonna be the greatest creation in all of human history on the planet. It was round and had was a half circle built into the ground with four triangles going around it. it was close to Watts monitor
"Are you sure this is gonna work?" Tyrian asked, "will this bring my goddess back?"
"Yes, Tyrian, I'm sure of it," Watts said with a smile
"But how?" Tyrian asked
"This device will bring forth energy from a different Universe that is similar to Salem's and once we have the energy we will need a host" Watts replied "And I have one just in mind" Watts laughed evilly
Watts went back to the monitor and typed out a sequence and then pressed the button, he looked to the screen which read: UNI Converter at 10%
"yes! it's working!" Watts cried with joy
However, his joy was replaced by sudden fear as he heard a small beeping come from his monitor. he looked at the other screen which read what he had feared.
Intruder alert!
"NO!" Watts cried
"what is it!?" Tyrian asked
"We have some unexpected guests" Watts grumbled "Tyrian hold them off! It needs more time to boot up!" Watts exclaimed
Tyrian nodded and ran away from the lab and outside the base as he smiled his crazy smile, "More Lambs for the slaughter! hehehe!" Tyrian laughed
meanwhile, Jaune, Jason, and Team FNKI were running through the halls of the base and were making sure that all of Watt's traps weren't going to work.
"How far along are we?" Flynt asked Idriess
"Were close!" Idriess
as they were running down, a sudden hail of bullets were fired at them,
"Get back!" Jaune cried
He shielded himself and Jason with his shield and then took cover behind a wall while Team FNKI did as well
"Come out little lambs! Come out!" Chuckled a voice
Jaune recognized that voice all too well, he gritted his teeth as his anger rose. "Tyrian" Jaune grunted.
Tyrian stopped firing as he smelled the air, he smiled as he smelled a very familiar smell, one that had been in his head since he first meat the young man.
"Jaune Arc!" Tyrian cried "You're here! what a pleasant surprise!" Tyrian chuckled
Jaune looked to Jason, "stay here" Jaune told his son as he stepped out into the hallway
"Wait! Dad!" Jason cried
Jaune looked down the hallway and saw Tyrian staring back at him.
"Tyrian" Jaune said
"Jaune" Tyrian said with a smile, "must we always meet as this" Tyrian chuckled
"You're gonna pay," Jaune said with fury in his eyes
"Very well then," Tyrian said "no guns, just a good old fashioned sword to wrist blade fight"
Jaune unsheathed Croceas Mors and Tyrian rechecked the straps on his blades. The two stared at each other for a moment, neither raising their weapons nor even getting ready to attack.
They just stood there. no more words were spoken.
Until finally, Tyrian rushed at Jaune at a speed that almost made him look like he had a semblance related to Ruby. Jaune, however, didn't raise his sword as Tyrian got in closer and then as soon as Tyrian was in range, Jaune slashed upwards and Tyrian didn't have tome to jump away or dodge as Jaune cut his chest, as blood seeped out, however, Tyrian also took his closeness to his advantage and he infused his Aura into his foot as he kicked Jaune backward, sending Jaune flying back down the hall a couple of feet and Tyrian chased after him
"DAD!" Jason cried
"Shit! Neon! take the kid and go help Jaune! Me, Idriess, and Kate will go ahead and stop Watts" Flynt told her
"You got it, boss!" Neon said
She activated her rollerblades and grabbed Jason by his hands and then threw him up and caught him in her arms
"hey there sweetheart" Neon giggle
"L-lets just hurry!" Jason cried as he blushed

Watt's looked at the screen as he now saw how close the new device was. The screen read: UNI Converter at 45%
"Come on! Hurry!" Watts cried
before he could do anything or say anything else, an explosion blasted his door open and he looked back to see Flynt, Idriess, and Kate standing there with their weapons drawn. Watts was never a fighter, sure he could take on one person, but three, he was brains, not brawn.
"Arthur Watts, by Order of the Kingdom of Atlas, you are under arrest," Flynt told Watts
Watts looked at them with anger, "You're going to have to bring me in dead then! cause I will not go back to the hell of a city" Watts told them
"They never can take the easy way" Kate mumbled
The three charged at Watts and Watts decided to fight back as best as he could, while also activating some old Atlas paladins.

Jaune was currently outside of the lab with Tyrian fighting him and Neon, while Jason stayed far away from the fight.
Jaune rushed at Tyrian and slashed with such speed that all you could see was the faint outline of his blade. Tyrian dodged the strikes, but he backed up as Neon came from behind and kicked him in the back, sending him flying back at Jaune, Jaune was going in for a stab but Tyrian used his mech-tail and tried to stab Jaune from above, thus Jaune reacted and moved backward, allowing Tyrian to strike Jaune's aura and push him back as well. Neon quickly rode around Tyrian before she used her numb chucks and hit Tyrian, however, as soon as the numb chucks landed a hit, they glowed purple and caused the Scorpion Faunas to fly away and hit hard into a couple of trees and even breaking through some.
"Gravity sure does wonders!" She smiled as she quickly helped Jaune back up
"Thanks, but I'm sure he's not done yet," Jaune told her
Neon nodded and both waited until the heard laughter coming from above them, Tyrian landed in front of them as he wiped the blood from his mouth. without a second of hesitation, Jaune rushed at Tyrian and slashed at him, Tyrian dodged again, but Jaune then went for a kick and managed to hit his knee, causing the assassin to wince in slight pain, Jaune took this opportunity and slashed downwards, Tyrian quickly raised his hand to block it, but at the last Second, Jaune infused both his hand and sword with Aura, causing Jaune to cut through his blades and completely cut off both of Tyrian's hands
"AHHH!" Tyrian cried in pain
Jaune then took no time to finish off the scorpion faunas as he stabbed Tyrian in the chest. Tyrian looked at his chest and then to Jaune's eyes
"For Cinder you son of a bitch" Jaune told him with anger
Tyrian smiled and chuckled as blood also left his mouth, "I knew something interested me about you... Jaune Arc"
Jaune pulled his blade back and Tyrian fell dead to the ground. Jaune huffed and fell to his knees. He looked to Neon and Jason. Jaune saw the look on Jason's face and knew that Jason was still coming to terms with what he had just seen. Jaune got back on his feet and walked to his son and hugged him
"I-I'm sorry you had to see that Jason" Jaune told his son "I-I'm sorry, I should've-"
"Dad" Jason cut in "it's ok, I prepared myself for the worse when I came here," Jason said taking in deep breaths trying to calm himself
Jaune hugged his son tighter, "still, no kid your age should ever see that" Jaune told him
They broke the hug and Jaune looked back to Neon, "we'd better go see if the others need some help" Jaune told her
She nodded and the three went back into the base.
Back inside the base, and specifically, the room where Watts was using the universe converter, Flynt quickly dispatched two paladins as Kate and Idriess were holding back more that were coming from other rooms. Flynt looked to see Watts still by his monitor and he was typing in something, Flynt quickly raced toward the evil genius.
Watts looked at the statistics and saw that something was wrong, he was now, not as worried with the hunters that were here but with what he had now discovered. He looked and noticed that instead of the energy being contained it was slowly beginning to form inside the circle. he also noticed that the device itself was slowly bending and creaking.
"the machine's not going to convert other Universes into energy... no, it's using said energy to create... by the brothers... the energy's creating a portal!" Watt's cried "This is bad if I don't shut it down and create a new way for the device to be stable once it reaches 100% it could cause huge feedback!"
Flynt was getting closer until he was shot, he fell to the ground and saw that he was bleeding from his shoulder, he looked up to see Watts holding his gun and then aimed it at Flynt.
"I will not let you ruin my greatest achievement!" Watts said as he cocked the Gun "just stay there and let me fix this!"
Flynt was about to activate his aura to shield himself from Watts bullets but before either of the two could take action a cry came from the doorway.
"WATTS!" Jaune Arcs voice came
"Danm it!" Watts said
Jaune ran to the scientist as he cut through the paladins like a hot knife through butter. Meanwhile, Watts was looking at the monitor as he saw what it read: UNI Converter at 95%.
Watts smiled as he turned back to see the blond knight running at him
UNI Converter at 96%
Jaune finally arrived at the spot of Watts and was about to strike at him until he felt a sudden hit to the face, Jaune stumbled to his side as Watt's pointed his gun against Jaune's head.
"Foolish boy! you came all the way here to seek revenge didn't you?" Watts asked
UNI Converter at 97%
"I swore I was gonna kill you from what you took from me!" Jaune said
Jaune then quickly knocked the gun from Watts's hands and then kneed Watts in his stomach. before kicking him to the ground.
UNI Converter at 98%
Jaune the pointed the Gun at Watts's head as the man was kneeling, slowly regaining his breath
"Any last word?" Jaune asked
"Stop, let me get back to the monitor! quickly! there's no time!"
UNI Converter at 99%
"Fuck you! I'm not falling for your tricks Watts!" Jaune cried
"You damn fool! Listen to me! if the device reaches 100% we're all-"
UNI Converter at 100%
The device activated and a huge light burst from the machine and covered both Jaune and Watts before it was sucked back into the device before the device exploded. Sending everyone back and destroying the room...
