Marinette's POV
It has been 10 months, since my coronation, 10 months since the class found out about Adrien, Nino, Alya and I being royals and 10 months since practically the world found out about us being Ladybug, Rena Rouge, Chat Noir and Carapace. And 1 year since me and Adrien first started dating.
Tonight me and Adrien had a date in the Cherry blossom gardens. I smiled and shook my head. If you had told me a little over a year ago that me and Adrien would start dating I would have told you that you lost your mind. I didn't think I had a chance with him. I mean, I knew him as Chat as stuff but him as Adrien was different to me.
I looked at my watch. It said 1:30 PM. The day was going to slow. I called up Alya and asked her if she could come over. She said she could. I needed to get this date off my mind.
She came over and we started picking out outfits and discussing how I should do my hair and make up. We picked out 3 dresses and I liked 2 of them but, 1 really stood out to me. I put in on and twirled a bit to get the feel of it.
I hung it up on my closet door and jumped up and down. I couldn't wait. It was finally 5:00 PM, when we were done choosing and deciding. I could get dressed. I grabbed my dress and put it on.
I sat down and Alya did my hair and make up.
I hugged her and she pushed me out of the door. I walked to the entrance of the castle and saw Adrien checking his watch. I stood there for 5 minutes seeing that he checks his watch every 5 seconds. What was up with that man?
I walked up to him and tapped his shoulder. He jumped and turned around.
Adrien POV
I jumped and saw Marinette. She looked beautiful. She was looking at me expectantly. Ummm.... a compliment! Girls like compliments.
A: You look stunning. As usual.
She looked satisfied and I grabbed her hand and we walked to the gardens. I had prepared a picnic for us. She gasped and kissed my cheek. I felt my heart flutter. She still had that effect on me.
She sat down and I sat down next to her. I took out a salad, 2 sandwiches, 2 slices of cake Tikki baked, a thermos of tea and 2 cups.
She grabbed a sandwich and started eating it. I felt for my pocket and felt a little box. I was incredibly nervous.
M: What's wrong?
A: Nothing.
M: Stop lying. Did you have a question for me?
A: Ah....yes. I did. Come.
I stood up and I held out my hand. She took it and I helped her up. I took her to a bench and she sat down and I took her hands.
A: Marinette Dupain Cheng, when, I first met you, you hated me. Now, we have been friends for 6 years and have supported each other through thick and thin. You liked me for the real me not the side the fans and paparazzi saw so-
I got down on one of my knees.
A: Will you make me the happiest man in the universe and marry me?
She was crying with tears of joy I hope and tackled me.
M: YES! Oh, a million times yes.
I put the ring on her finger and hugged her.
We went back to our picnic and we enjoyed ourselves.
