Kayla Jones, is a bitch. No actually she's one of my friend's girlfriends. She's beautiful, well at least Ryan thinks. Blue eyes, blonde hair, pale skin she's a small girl. Ever since she was little she had a good sense of confidence, she didn't have a bad life. She had a nice family, a mom and dad still together. They loved her, and they saw her as a perfect child. They were completely unaware of all the things she'd done and she was only a freshman. And back to what I said before, she is a bitch but we all put up with her because well she's Ryan's girlfriend.
Today the end of the first week of freshman year, or was and I don't wanna give any spoilers but this was a really good year. Or at the time I didn't think so, I mean my biggest problem was the boy I liked didn't like me back. Now six years later he still is, he fucked up my life and I might sound dramatic but he did. You may hate me by the end of this, and trust me I get it cause chances are I hate me more. It all started because I didn't want to take honors english and went to switch out as soon as I possibly could.
"So why is it you don't want to take honors english?"
"I just don't think I belong in that class, english is a struggle for me in the first place."
"Look Adrianna I can't make you stay in a class you don't want to stay in but I think you're making a big mistake switching out," she said.
I seriously doubt that.
I nodded.
"Okay, here english 9."
I smiled and got up.
"Thank you Miss Bullock."
I got out and felt like I might've had a fever.
I walked to the nurse and she checked my temperature.
"You're a little hot but it's still good for now."
"Oh okay."
"Yeah you can go back to class."
I walked out and saw a boy staring at me as I left. He had green eyes and wavy dark hair. I didn't say anything.
I went to the bathroom since I was already about to be late then last period and came in a little late.
"Why are you late?"
"I was in the nurses."
"Please sit."
I sat down in the back by the boy from the nurses office.
He looked and smiled at me.
I smiled back faintly.
I pulled out a chocolate bar and broke off a piece.
"I didn't know chocolate helped colds."
I looked at it for a second then realized what he meant and laughed a little. I was suddenly shy and didn't know what to say.
"Good morning class."
I zoned out of his introduction because they were all the same in my opinion.
"You may begin," he said.
I looked and saw I now had a blank piece of paper by me.
I stared confused.
"You're writing about your childhood," the boy whispered.
"Thank you."
I finished writing and sat quietly.
We passed the papers in and he talked again and handed out papers for our parents to sign.
The bell finally rang.
"Hey I'm Jacob," he smiled.
I stared for a couple seconds before answering, "I'm Adrianna."
He nodded and smiled.
"Uh I gotta go," I smiled.
"I'll see you," he said.
I smiled and walked to Ryan's car quickly before I embarrassed myself. I tripped and turned to see if he saw, he smiled a little. I sighed and kept walking.
"Hey," Kailey said walking by me carrying her books.
"Hi," I smiled.
"Are you going to that party tonight?"
"Uh I don't know I'm kinda tired," I said.
"No please come," she smiled.
"Kailey," I said annoyed.
"Please," she said.
"Fine."
"Yay!" she smiled excitedly.
I rolled my eyes and suddenly Kayla bumped into me.
She came in fast yelling at Ryan.
"I don't get why you get so pissed off all the time," Ryan said.
"Well you're a fucking idiot," she said looking up at him, "Are you even listening to me right now?"
He turned and rolled his eyes.
"Don't roll your eyes at me, you always do this!"
"Always do what?" he yelled.
She slapped him and walked off.
"You never understand me," she cried.
Me and Kailey tried not to laugh.
"Well I guess you're in front today," he looked at Matthew.
Matt chuckled and we all got in.
"You know I don't understand why you like her," Matt said.
Ryan shrugged.
"Hey Ryan?" Kailey asked in her nice voice.
I rolled my eyes and groaned.
"Hm?" he asked looking at her from the mirror.
"Can you take me and Adrianna to the party tonight?" she moved close to his seat.
"Why can't B take you?"
"Cause Nolan's taking her."
"So Nolan's nice?" he raised his eyebrows.
Kailey rolled her eyes.
"Plus I'm not going."
"Really?"
"Yeah seriously."
"What are you doing that's so important?"
"I'm staying at Wyatt's tonight."
"Oh your boyfriend?"
"Shut up Kailey I'm not taking you."
She groaned and leaned back.
We got out at my house and Ryan sped off as usual.
"Hello Adrianna," my mom said.
"Hi Mrs. Collins," Kailey smiled and waved.
"Hi Kailey," she smiled.
"We're gonna go upstairs," I said starting to walk up.
We got to my room and Kailey started looking through my clothes.
"So what can I borrow?" Kailey asked.
"Uh just whatever you'll fit into."
She groaned.
"Actually I have an old dress from middle school that might fit you."
She nodded and put it on, "Thanks."
After we got ready we sat down and waited for Bianca and Nolan.
"They're here," I said looking out the window.
We got downstairs and ran to the car.
"Thank you again Nolan," I said.
"Yeah no problem."
"Ryan's an ass," Kailey said.
Bianca laughed.
We pulled up and went inside.
We were greeted by loud music and the faint smell of smoke.
"Is that Ryan?" Kailey asked annoyed.
"Uh I think, I don't know," I said uninterested.
"Oh my god," she walked over there yelling at him.
He was making out with Kayla and he turned to look at her.
I sat down on the couch and shook my head.
"Hi, Adri," Taylor stood above me.
"Hi," I smiled.
"I missed you."
"Yeah I missed you too."
She started talking and I zoned out. She kept talking and smiling. I missed her, she was always so outgoing , it was never quiet. Taylor had been my best friend since elementary.
"Ugh is Isaac here?" she asked.
"Hm?"
"Isaac," she said.
"Well it is his party."
"Ew I see him and my sister," she said angry, "I'll talk to you later."
I laughed.
"Marianna!" she yelled.
I waved and looked over at Kayla making out with Ryan again.
I scrunched my nose.
"Hey," I looked up and saw Jacob.
"Hi," I smiled.
He sat by me, "So what are you doing sitting alone?"
"Uh my friends are kind of preoccupied."
I saw Kailey and Matthew playing beer pong. Ryan played and made out with Kayla in between turns.
He laughed.
"You know I'm actually kinda surprised to see you here," I said.
"What do you mean?"
"I don't know, well not like surprised to see you here, just that you're talking to me."
"Is it so weird that I wanted to talk to you?" he asked smiling.
"No, I don't know," I smiled a little looking down at my lap.
"You know I think I remember meeting you a little while back."
"Really?" I asked.
"Yeah last year, for Isaac's birthday."
"Oh yeah you're right."
I looked over at Nolan and Bianca, she hugged him and he left.
"Were you in honors english last year?" he asked.
"Uh yeah."
"Oh yeah, I was next door I thought you looked familiar."
I smiled.
"Why aren't you in it anymore."
"Well I was in honors english, but I didn't like it so I switched."
"Oh, so you're good at english?"
"No," I laughed, "I'm not."
"Uh huh," he said.
"English isn't that hard I bet your pretty good."
"Why would I be?" he laughed, "I'm not the one who swapped out of smart person english."
I laughed.
"Okay, lets make a deal I'll give you my online password for english band you give me yours and let's see who's better."
"It's gonna be you the stuff I wrote last year, which was garbage."
"Okay let's just see," he said.
I smiled and nodded.
We traded phones and put our numbers in each.
"What's your last name?" I asked.
"My last name?" he smiled.
"Yeah I know it sounds weird I just like to know."
"Oh uh it's Abbot."
I nodded.
"What's your's?"
"Collins."
"Oh that's pretty."
I laughed, "I guess, I think I like Abbot better."
"Did you come with anyone tonight?"
"Uh no just some friends, I didn't even really want to come in the first place though."
"Oh, well I'm glad you did."
"Yeah me too," I smiled.
I looked over and saw Bianca throw up in a plant and knocking down a vase.
"You okay?" he asked.
"Shit, I gotta go I'm sorry."
"Okay uh bye."
"Sorry," I grabbed my phone and went to get Bianca.
It wasn't even an hour in yet.
"Where's Nolan?" I asked.
"His mom needed him home," she slurred.
"Are you okay?"
She giggled and threw up more. I helped her outside.
I called Ryan.
"What?"
"Bianca needs to go can you drop us at my house?"
"Shit Adri I'm with Kayla right now."
"You guys can fuck any other time Ryan, Bianca's about to pass out c'mon."
"Fuck," he muttered.
"What?"
"I'm coming."
"Kailey lets go," I said looking at her.
"Is she okay?" she asked by the stairs holding her drink as she followed.
"She's fine," I said helping her, "Just drunk."
"Okay, let me grab my stuff I can't sleepover tonight though."
"Okay that's fine."
"Kayla I'll be back in three minutes settle down, shit," he said waiting outside.
She walked back inside annoyed.
"I swear you guys treat me like your personal fucking taxi driver."
I smiled and followed him.
I put her in the back while she sat with me and Kailey got in the front.
"We gotta hurry me and Kayla were with Wyatt."
"Aw your boyfriend?" Kailey asked.
"Aw your boyfriend," he mocked, "Stop calling him that."
"It's just guys have been friends since like preschool and every time we talk about him you have like this little sparkle in your eye and you actually look happy for once, it's beautiful really."
"Oh shut up," he said.
Kailey laughed.
She laid on my stomach.
"I love you so much," she laughed.
I laughed.
"Seriously I do," she looked up serious, "I'm being dead serious right now, Dri swear.
I smiled, "Okay."
"I do," she said just before she threw up on my legs.
"What the fuck?" Ryan yelled, "That better not be on my seat."
"No just on my pants."
"Oh good."
He pulled over to the side.
"Thanks," I said getting her out.
"Don't get it on my car," he turned.
I flipped him off.
"Bye Adrianna bye B," Kailey smiled.
"Bye," I said.
"Love you guys," she said leaving.
"Love you Kailey!" Bianca yelled.
"Sh," I said.
We got inside and I helped her up the stairs.
I got to my room and laid her on the bed and moved her feet as I groaned.
I laid down and took off my jeans too lazy to put anything else on.
"Who, uh Adrianna who were you talking to, at the party," she burped.
I scrunched my nose.
"Uh his name's Jacob."
"Oh, Jake," she laughed.
"No Jacob," I laughed, "I know it might sound like I say this a lot but I think this could be something. Like it's different B I have a good feeling about him."
She didn't reply.
"B?"
She snored.
