Lee's POV
After the incident in the mall umuwi ako kaagad sa condo ko and called Stephen , a close friend of mine
[ Whattup? ] he answered after a ring
" I met someone arrogant today " I said while taking my shoes off at bumagsak sa kama
[ Why is that? ] he asked
Kinuwento ko sa kanya ang lahat nang nangyari but in the end he laughed
" What's funny? " iritableng tanong ko sa kanya
[ Who would wear a fucking suit in a food court? ] he was laughing his ass off sa kabilang linya
" Maybe he had some errands? " hindi sure kong sagot
[ Ano pangalan? ] Stephen curiously asked
" Kristian Charles Jones " I answered while reading his name on his calling card
He gave it to Mr. Wang after I left and entered the Mall's office and Mr. Wang later on gave it to me . Maybe they knew each other
[ tangina ] narinig ko siyang napamura sa kabilang linya
" oh bakit? " nakakunot-noo kong tanong sakanya
[ Don't get near him ] I cannot see his face pero alam kong seryoso siya sa sinabi niya
" I won't . Never gonna happen. I don't socialize with arrogant people. Parang mapapatay ko sila " and then I rolled my eyes
[ Promise me ] he said
" Yeah ,Promise. Gotta hang-up " I assured him
[ Bye Kaylee ] he teased
" Ugh. Just get rid of the K-A-Y, just Lee. Bye " I frustratedly said then hung-up and slept
The next morning was hectic for me because I woke up late and I'm freaking late for school. I just took a shower , dressed up and drove to school.
" Late ka " bungad ni Shayne sakin habang tinitingnan ang relo niya
" First time. Ikaw palagi ang nauuna " Crystal laughed at me
" Just got tired yesterday " tipid kong sagot at mauuna na sanang maglakad ng hilahin ako ni Chels pabalik
" Pinapatawag tayo ng Dean " sabi niya habang hinihila ang kamay ko papuntang Dean's office . Sumunod naman ang iba
" Ano na naman? Hindi mo ba kami papatahimikin hanggang sa mag-graduate kami? " iyan ang bungad ko pagkapasok ko sa office
She just rolled her eyes. Psh, kontrabida. Mamatay kana. I was killing her on my head
" Chill girls . Gusto ko lang sabihin sa inyo na kahit mayayaman kayo . Hindi ako natatakot sa inyo . Kita ninyo ang nangyari sa kaibigan niyo? I got her expelled! " masaya niyang sabi na parang bilib na bilib sa sarili niya
We just rolled our eyes . No one dared to speak .
" So, huwag kayong maging reckless sa mga bagay na ginagawa niyo . Malay niyo . Kayo na ang susunod sa yapak ng kaibigan niyo " she smirked at us
I composed myself and answered her
" Reckless? Are fucking kidding me? Hmm let's see. My friend exposed you on media because you are a fucking corrupt leader of this school . Is that a reckless move ? " I smirked while crossing my arms
" It is indeed, reckless iyon kaya napatalsik ko siya . Kung nag-ingat siya sa mga ginagawa niya ay malamang nandito pa siya kasama kayo " she answered back
" Well if we're reckless , then you're mindless " Cole suddenly got up from the chair and slammed some papers on the table where our Dean was sitting
" Fuck rules. This school is a shit anyway. Mayayaman lang ang habol niyo. Here are our papers and documents . I got my friends transferred to a better school " she said coldly at umalis na
I just smirked and followed her, the others followed as well
" So? Saan na tayo pupunta? " nakangiwing tanong ni Crystal
" Rox's School " tipid na sagot ni Cole
" Really? Yeyyy " I hugged her because of enthusiasm
We settled our transfer papers and bid goodbyes to our friends and teachers . It took us hours at hapon na kami nakarating sa Voultor Academy too meet Rox and then went home . We decided to individually enroll ourselves and part ways for the mean time because a group called "seekers" is following us and intend to end us .
Morning came and I am beyond excited to finally enter a new school . But half of me is sad. Hindi ko kasama ang lima . But still , we can see each other naman although no talking .
I decided to not use my car for disguise . Magpapasundo lang ako at mag co-commute sa umaga pag hindi ako late . And because first day ko , mag co-commute ako.
" Voultor Academy " banggit ng jeepney driver pagkatapos huminto sa harap ng school
Agad naman akong bumaba at pumasok sa gate
" Goodmorning manong " I greeted the guard on duty with a smile and he greeted back
" Good Morning ineng " he flashed the most genuine smile ever
I continued to walk while admiring the buildings of the school. Hindi ito pareho sa dating school namin . Ordinaryo lang ang mga building at yung mga pintura ay pare-pareho . Marami ding mga puno sa paligid .
" Excuse me " I decided to ask one student kung saan ang Dean's office
Lumingon naman siya . Nagitla naman ako sa kintatayuan ko
" You? "
" You. "
We both said in unison
" Hi babygirl, anong maipaglilingkod ko sa iyo? " he then smiled widely at me
" Don't call me babygirl Mr. Jones . It is not that pleasant in my ears . May I know where the Dean's office is? " masungit kong tanong
" Why? Are you lost babygirl? " he teased
" Nevermind. Wala kang kwentang kausap" akmang aalis na ako sana ng hilahin niya ako
" You asked the right person. I'm an officer here . I can lead you to that office " sabi niya habang hila parin ako
" Wait , let go of me . I can walk " huminto ako para hilahin ang kamay ko and he just shrugged and continued to walk . Sumunod naman ako
Marami siyang nakakasalubong na students but no one smiled at him at parang natataranta pa nga . I did mind at all . Basta makakarating lang ako sa office ok na ako.
" By the way, You are rich as fuck. Why did you enter this school? " I asked him suddenly
" Ikaw rin. You are rich as fuck . Why did you also enter this school?" Binalik niya ang tanong ko sakin
" Personal reasons." tipid kong sagot
" Same. We're here . I'll get going . May aasikasuhin pa akong mga bagay " he said after namin huminto sa isang pinto na may pangalan na
" Dean "
" Thanks " sabi ko at pumasok na .
I settled my papers and then prepared to head to my classroom . Class B ako . I did not apply for class A alam kong matalino kaming anim kaya baka magkasama pa kami ng section.
I was walking slowly habang binabasa ang schedule ko nang may biglang tumabi sakin
" Walk faster . Hindi mo gugustuhin ang mangyayari sa iyo kapag late ka " sabi niya . It's him again .
" Hindi ko pa kabisado ang school " I rolled my eyes after
" Class B ka? " tanong niya habang binabasa ang inagaw niyang papel na hinahawakan ko kanina
" Oo " tipid kong sagot
" Sama kana sakin. Class A ako . Magkatabi room natin " he said at nauna nang maglakad at sumunod naman ako
" Oh . Dito na ako . Diyan sa tabi room mo " sabi niya nang huminto kami sa tapat ng room nila . I scanned his room . Mukhang mga intellectuals yung mga nasa loob . Nanlaki ang mata ko nang magtama ang tingin ko sa isang babae na nakaupo at nakatingin din sa akin . It is Rox .
" Excuse me . Paharang harang kayo sa daan " naiwas naman ang tingin ko nang may biglang sumulpot naman sa gitna namin ni Kristian
Mas nabigla naman ako nang makita ko kung sino iyon at siya nabigla rin. Shit . Paano na kami neto iiwas sa isa't -isa .
