also in the last chap, nabi's watch beeped and i will let y'all think what jaemin did to nabi hehe ;)
"how about 11 weeks from now?"
"huh?"
"the date for your surgery nabi-ah"
nabi's brows furrowed at the word 'surgery' - a frown was visible on her face which junhyung noticed so he wore an assuring smile as he said,
"we'll know for sure when we get the checkup's results but if you are to have surgery then let's do it during that time"
'no i don't want to have surgery... i'm all fine..'
"we'll discuss it with your parents so you only need to eat well and don't skip your medicines, okay?"
nabi purses her lips before nodding hesitatingly at his words. junhyung outstretched his hand out to gently pat her shoulder
"don't worry too much nabi, i'm sure you'll be alright"
'i hope so'
just then the familiar noise was heard by nabi's ears and she immediately took a deep breath as she relaxed her body since it was all tense from the situation earlier. junhyung rose a brow at her sudden change of manner
nabi noticed his stare so she replied with a small smile before scooting closer to his desk, "i'll be alright right? if i die i'm gonna blame you jun o**a"

junhyung flinched back when nabi suddenly raised her finger - pointed towards him. he let out a small laugh when hearing her cute threat before shaking his head in amusement
"well i assure you my surgery skills are quite well, you need to help me as well nabi-ah" nabi hummed in meaning for him to elaborate his words
"if you stay healthy by taking good care of yourself then i'm sure we don't have much to worry about the upcoming surgery" nabi leaned back as she nodded at his words
"oh by the way nabi-ah" nabi craned her head to face junhyung as she hummed in response. "jeno's been telling me that your watch keeps beeping during class, is everything okay? or is the watch broken?"
nabi's was in deep confusion until realization dawned upon her. she recalled the times where her watch kept beeping from jaemin's sweet words and actions towards her. recalling those events made her face flushing red which went unnoticed by nabi but not by junhyung
"nabi? are you okay? your face is really red" nabi's hand immediately went to cover her cheeks as stutters left her mouth, "u-uh i'm f-fine" she began to lightly slap her cheeks to compose herself
junhyung rose a brow before he finally understood what's going on with her. junhyung wore a wide smile as he teasingly asked, "who's the unlucky boy nabi-ah?"
nabi stopped slapping herself as slowly raised her head to meet his eyes with an offended expression was seen all over her face
"unlucky boy? EXCUSE ME?"
"ow- nabi, you shouldn't hit your docto- OUCH NABI"

"one.... two..... three... four... five..... sixseveneightnineten. your time's up" nabi was about to uncover her eyes until a hand stopped her. she could hear his uneven breathing which made her giggle
hearing the melodious giggle made him raise his head as he threw a look towards the smiling girl, completely forgetting the fact she couldn't see him at the moment. jaemin took quick breaths before standing up straight with his hand still placed on hers - covering her eyes
"you counted so fast"
"you only told me to count from one to ten, you didn't say how slow or fast i should count"
jaemin sighed before nodding his head in defeat, knowing he couldn't win a debate with her. he took a quick look around before facing towards nabi again. "okay you can uncover your eyes now"
nabi giggled once again which confused the male, "why are you gig-" "move your hand you idiot" jaemin then stared at his hand before realizing what she meant
he raised his hand off of hers and placed both of them on her shoulders, "okay you can uncover your eyes now" nabi tried to hold back the smile that's trying to come out as she slowly opens her eyes
she looks at a smiling jaemin before looking around the room until she froze. her mouth opened as her eyes widened in amazement. jaemin's smile grew wider when he saw her reaction, his eyes followed the girl who walked towards the window as she kept gasping in awe
the art room was dark with no lights turned on but there was a few lights seeping through the room - coming from the windows. "did you do this?" nabi turned around to see his answer and she smiled widely when she saw a nod from him

she turned her focus back to the covered window. jaemin cut little stars into the black cloth and hang it on the windows. the light from the sun came through the little star-shaped holes and illuminated the darkroom, making it seem like the night sky with stars covering it
"you know... even though it's day time, i've always wondered how the night sky would look with stars covering it"
"do you think it's possible for us to see stars here?"
"i guess there's only one way to find out"
"how?"
"you'll have to wait first"
nabi smiled at the memory from the memorial house, she kept playing around with the light by slicing it through or she would trace the star shaped holes with her fingers. jaemin sat down on the platform that's at the center of the room as he stared lovingly at the girl
seeing her happy and joyed like that made him also happy and joyed, he felt his heart warmed a thousand degrees just seeing the sight of her smiling widely till her eyes were nowhere to be seen.
nabi decided to approach the male and stood right in front of him - between his thighs. her hands reached out and she placed it on each side of his neck, her right hand stroke the hair behind his head as her eyes stared lovingly into his
"thank you" even though the words were whispered out, jaemin could still hear it clearly with the sincerity lacing it.
"i know they're not actual stars but it-" "it's perfect"
jaemin's breath hitched before his smile grew wider, "well it's going to be even more perfect" nabi's head tilted to the side as she was curious about what he meant
jaemin gently lifted her arms that were on him and stood up, he went behind nabi as she turned around so she would be facing him again. nabi's eyes followed his actions as he pulled out a certain item from his pockets
nabi's eyes rounded as she felt like she knows what's going to happen. jaemin's smile never left his face as he slowly went down on one of his knees. both of his hands held the small box as he spoke his next few words without breaking eye contact with her
"i know we're already engaged but i would like to do this officially so.." nabi's breath hitched when he opened the box and a ring was seen in it. nabi's heart already started to beat rapidly and she knows it would beat a lot faster when the upcoming words would be said by him
"at first, i acted really badly towards you but that was before i started to fall for you and let me tell you.."
"i fell really deep" both teenagers chuckled, "i want you to know that my feelings for you are sincere and genuine so i want to be actually engaged to you, not only during the stage"
nabi started to anticipate his words as she felt adrenaline rushing throughout her body. "so kwon nabi..."
"will you marry me?"
