~Payton's Pov~
The show is almost over and we are all dancing to a Justin Beiber song. As it ends Hootie starts to talk
"Ok so as everyone knows today is Payton's birthday" The fans scream and I smile.
"So on 3 lets have everyone in this room sing happy birthday. Ready?" They all scream "Ok 1..2..3"
Everyone sings and the boys hype me up "Ok one more thing before we wrap up"
The boys all look confused "Whats happening?" I whisper to Jaden and he shrugs looking just as confused as me
"Payton we have a surprise for you" I turn towards Hootie with confusion.
"Ok " He says and looks off the stage. Wtf is happening? I see someone walking onto the stage.
The fans scream and I see Kaitlyn! "Wait what?!?!"
My heart skips a beat and we run up to each other. She jumps up and I catch her. The fans are screaming as we are hugging
"What are you doing here?!" I put her down "Surprise!! I couldn't miss my best friends birthday"

My subconscious says
"I thought you couldn't fly out" "Well I'm here aren't I?" I chuckle and he does too. He brings me into another hug.
The boys all yell my name and bring me into a hug.

The last meet and greet is coming to an end. Fans asked for pictures with me and Payton together. They all had the same question "Are you guys together?" We would both chuckle and tell them no.
Joanne also flew out and surprised Payton. We both got to know each other. She's so sweet I love her. My mom made friends with her.
I met the other tour members and we all would make faces at each other while meeting with the fans.
Hannah and them all hung out with me since we werent quite part of the tour we didnt necessarily have a placement in the meet and greet but fans would still ask us for pictures.
"Have you gave him your gift?" Jake asks "No but I will soon"
As soon as the last person hugs him I get up with the bag in my hand.
"Hey weirdo" I smile as he turns around "I got you something" I wave the bag
"Oh you didnt have to" "Well I did" "You really did-" "Just shut up and open it" I chuckle handing it to him.
He opens it he sees all his favorite snacks and he grabs the little box on the bottom placing the gift bag on the floor.
I felt extra and decided to wrap the box in wrapping paper. He tears the paper and sees the box.
"Bond?" "Open it" I smile. He opens the box and pulls out the bracelet
"Wait these are the long distance ones?!" I nod and smile
"Oh my god thank you" He places the box down and gives me hug
"You're welcome dummy" I chuckle. He puts a bracelet on me and I put the other on him. We chat for a bit and Trent comes to us
"The dinner is about to start" Payton nods and he walks away
"Wish you could be there" "I know but its ok cuz youll be back in.." "An hour or so" He finishes my sentence
"Ok bye weirdo" "Bye" He smiles and I return one
On the way to the hotel my bracelet vibrates. I smile and tap the bracelet to make it vibrate on his end.
I can imagine the smile he has when it vibrates causing me to slightly chuckle.
"What?" "Hm?" I look at avani "You just randomly laughed" Jake says
"No I didnt" I look out the window "Mhm"
We finally get to the hotel.
"Hey Kaitlyn?" Joanne says "Yeah?" "Can I talk to you for a minute?"
"Yeah of course. I'll meet you guys inside" I look to Jake and them including my mom and they all nod. I look back at Joanne
"The floor is yours" I laugh causing her to as well "Ok so I dont know whats going on with you and Payton but.." She pauses.
My heart flutters at the mention of his name
"I can tell he really likes you" I immediately regret friend zoning him
"He's been so happy since he met you. Everytime someone mentions your name he gets the biggest smile"
I smile at the thought.
"I just want to thank you for making him happy" She hugs me
"I didnt think he liked me that way" I pull away "Oh trust me he does" She chuckles
"Can't wait to see what happens next for the two of you"
I smile "Thank you Joanne" "Of course hunny. If you need anything Im here ok?" I nod
"Lets go inside" We get inside and part going to our rooms
"See you around" "You too" I smile at her
I decide that I want to walk around for a bit. I go to the stairs and start going up to the roof. Once I get there I take a dollar bill and fold it in half putting it between the door and the door frame.
I look through my hashtag on insta to see this photo of me and payton

I put my phone down and watch the city as it starts to sprinkle. I stare back out into the city.
Does he really like me or is Joanne just saying that? She wouldnt lie right?
Paytons smile brightens my day anytime. Now that I think of it, I smile at the mention of his name.
Ive also been really happy lately.

"Boo!" I jump and look towards the sound. "Payton you scared me half to death" I let out a breath
"Im sorry" He hugs me and I hug him back. "What did you do all day?"
We talk and talk as the rain starts to slowly speed up. I smile as I remember the last time we were on a rooftop. Then frown at what happened after that
"We arent taking the elevator down" "Nope" We chuckle
~Paytons Pov~
"Payton" She looks nervous. "What's up?" "I have to tell you um something"
"Ok?" I turn towards her
"Uhm.. I" Her cheeks flush a bright pink. She takes a deep breath.
"Well um.. ok so I wasnt sure about um this until I talked to your mom and she told me"
"What'd she tell you?" "Doesn't matter because umm.." She pauses "Well I'll just show you"
What?! Im so confu-
My thoughts get cut off as her lips meet mine. She pulls away and her cheeks flush even brighter. I smile and bring her in for another kiss. I feel her lips form a smile and it starts to pour. We pull away and I wrap my arms around her.
"You dont know how long Ive been waiting for that" I smile "Me too" She blushed
