There was once a girl who run around the park,
Whose eyes had a special spark,
As she run, in our Richmond Park, she blew kisses to the deer and rabbits,
Those were her habits,
Her hair was long, dark, and her silky red skirt reached the ground,
She was tired, of running 'round and 'round,
So, she stopped by the lake,
To take a quick break,
She looked at the ducks, and the trees,
And waved to the bees,
Then, it started to rain,
So she put on her hood, which was from Spain,
Then she saw a double rainbow,
Of all 7 colours, and the red was as red as lava, straight from the Volcano,
The orange, was brighter than an Autumn landscape, filled with one colour only,
And the yellow, shinier than a gold trophy,
The Green, greener than grass in spring,
The blue, was brighter than a sky in the summer – a blue string,
The violet, was mixed in with the purple, making them the colour of fresh lavender petals,
And they reflected in the water, which had no waves – it was quite gentle,
And now, to finish this poem off, this was the story of The Rainbow.
