I was gonna update tomorrow but I finished it today. The thing is, I've written the main plot for this book but now, I have to edit them and add more dialogues and conversations to not make it seem rushed so it it takes time. This one itself took like 40 minutes.

When he finshed his coffee, he wiped his hands and stared at me, waiting for me to finish mine. I placed my coffee back on the table and removed my notepad
I stared at Mr Marik expectantly and he cleared his throat
"The first thing you should note is that we're going to have more employees. Mr Kevin didn't have a proper budget but I have. Any opposition or is there something that you'll like to add on this?" He said and I thought before nodding
"Well Mr Marik-"
"Dimitri, please call me Dimitri" He said and I nodded
"As long as you'll call me Cédrik" I said and he didn't show any sign of disapproval so I continued.
"The employees, in which floor and at what position do you want them? How many more people are you planning to employ? Also sir, I have a file of people who Mr kevin was monitoring closely. Mr Kevin was a good man and didn't fire them but from the view of a worker, I think that they don't deserve to work here. There are people more qualified that could get a job here and benefit the office" I said
"Bring me the files. I had in mind to employ only 10 candidates. This floor needs 2 more people to pick up the call and floor number 15 is catastrophic. The rest 8 employees are going to be people to clean the building. I noticed only 12 employees involved in cleaning 15 floors. After seeing the files, I'll decide how many more employees to fire and hire" he said and I nodded, noting it down
"Also, I notice some broken fans. This need to be fixed. In fact, at the end of this month, I'll make sure all the fans are replaced by air conditioners" He stated and I stared at him in shock
Woah, he really wants his employees to be comfortable huh?
"The last thing Mr Joan.. It's about you" He said and I stiffened, my defence already starting to kick in in case he'll try to degrade me
"I want you to take a calender. For This month, encircle all the dates you know there's something important like your son's birthday or whatever function. I want to keep record so that I don't make any important plans that will interphere with your private life. On the first of every month, I expect you to fill the dates. You have 15 sick leaves per year and 1 month of vacation without pay, correct?" He asked and I nodded
"For the Vacation without pay, if you take a vacation because you were injuted or one of the member of your family is severely ill, You'll still get paid" He said and I stared at him in shock.
I just blinked at how thoughtful he was.
I thought he was a fucking asshole but he was actually caring and understand that I have a son.
"What happened Mr Joan? Cat got yout tongue?" He asked in a flat tone but his lips quirked up slightly
I shook my head and got up
"Um thank you. Mr Dimitri, I have one more question. Uh in the past, My sister, the one who looked after my son had important things to do and there was no one to look after my son so, Mr Kevin allowed me to bring him. Would you allow it too?" I asked in all seriousness.
If he doesn't, I'll just take my sick leave and let him manage on his own
However, He nodded.
"As long he doesn't create any trouble. If I may ask, are you a single parent?" He asked curiously and I nodded
"Yeah, I am" I said and I was thankful that he didn't even ask me whether I was divorced or whatever
"You may leave Mr Joan. It's already 4 O'clock" He said and I nodded
"Aurevoir, passé une bonne nuit" I said and realised he didn't understand-
"Good night, have a nice evening too" He replied with a smirk and I froze
"You'll understand when I curse at you.. won't you?" I asked and he nodded
"I just know greeting words in French and swear words so yeah" He replied
"Putin" I cursed under my breath before walking out
"I heard that" He called and I grinned

I'll enjoy working with you more than what I imagined.
I shook my head and smiled but something caught my attention
It was a picture.
I frowned and stared at the grinning man in the picture intently
He had dark black and blue eyes like Dimitry but it was clearly not him
Maybe his family member?
But... Why did I feel like I knew him?
"What are you looking at?" Dimitry asked coldly, getting up and I blinked
He turned towards the picture and his body tensed
"Who's that?" I asked and my eyes widened when I realised that I shouldn't pry
I was about to apologise when he walked towards the picture
"Someone everyone used to know" He answered and I frowned
Huh?
"Maybe you know him too?" He asked, turning to look at me intently and I frowned
"I don't think so... I used to live in France and after Arture, I don't recall-"
Sleeping with other men..
Was what I was about to say but thankfully, I stopped
"You don't recall?" He asked
"I-I um, I don't recall meeting with anyone apart form my family" I said quickly and I fidgeted when he stared at me
"Um Can I go?" I asked and he nodded
"Yes, you can" He replied and I awkwardly walked
What was that about!?

Weeks passed and life at the office has been stressful!
Dmitry is making everyone work hard and isn't allowing mistakes. He works as hard as he can too and So do I
I have to work overtime too and honestly, I'm tired
However, he isn't exatly a tyrant
"How are you keeping up as the secretary? It's been almost 3 weeks" Kacie said, typing on her laptop and I sighed
"He's hard to work with. He wants everything perfectly and he gets irritated when he see my dishevelled self" I said with a sigh and Noah laughed
"Maybe he's turned on by you?" Noah said and Kacie laughed while I scowled
"Stop teasing! He doesn't seem interested" I said
"Oh hun, he seems more interested in you than anyone else. He only talks with you and spends more time with you so he probably caught feelings" Kacie said and Noah nodded
"Yeah, I second that idea! Didn't you notice? He doesn't yell at you anymore" Noah said
"Yes! Ah Our Cédrik will finally be having a lover! office love is wonderful!! I want it too" Kacie whined
"Oh sweety, Don't think we haven't noticed the sexy new man that just got a job here! He's head heels over you" I exclaimed and Kacie pouted
"You think so? He doesn't just want sex... Right? I don't like sex" She said with a sigh, readjusting her boobs making Noah and I chuckle
"Sure you don't" We replied and she narrowed her eyes at me
"Listen, I'm a sexy piece of cake okay? All straight men just want my body and I'm tired of it. I dress up like a hooker for myself, got it? I love how I look so stop being an Asshole and think that I wear these clothes for sex" She replied, batting her eyelashes before winking at me
"Oh sweety, we know that" I replied and she grinned
"Kacie, teach Cédrik how to flirt!" Noah exclaimed and I nodded
"Yes! Teach me!" I exclaimed and she grinned
"Hm well, I usually bite my lips and push my blouse down. Oo batting eyelashes also help! Boys are horny and they are immediately turned on" She said and I blinked sweetly, my hand behind my back
"D-do I look cute?" I whispered shyly, biting my lips and Kacie squeaked while Noah paled
Huh what -
"Uhum" A voice said and I turned to my left to see a blank looking Dimitry stare at us
"What's going on here?" He asked and I blushed, clearing my throat
"Um nothing at all" I replied, rubbing my head and he stared at his watch
"It's your break so I can't say anything. Cédrik, I cannot find where you kept the files for the hospital project. I tried to call you but you weren't answering" Dimitry said in a blank tone and I checked my phone to see 2 missed calls from him
"Oopsie sorry!!" I said with an embarrassed smile and Dimitry stared at me blankly before turning around
"Bye" I whisperer to my friends, following him into the elevator
"I'm um, I'm sorry. I had to disturb you because of my carelessness." I said when we were inside the elevator and Dimitry shrugged
"It's fine, you were in your break time, I understand" He said
"Awe you're not as mean as I thought! You definitely have a heart!" I blurted before slapping my hand on my face
Dimitry let out a small smile, shaking his head
"He's Cédrik, I have a heart" He replied just as the elevator door opened
Non Mais, tu peux pas fermer ta guele, Cédrik? (Can't you shut your mouth, Cédrik)
I thought to myself
"Oh and Cédrik? For the love of god, please straighten your collar and close your zipper" He said with a sigh before going out and I squeaked when I saw that my zipper was open
I quickly close it and went out, readjusting my collar
Damn you Cédrik, how embarrassing!!

"Ah finally, the day is over" I said, leaning against my chair inside Dimitry's office
"I'm afraid not" Dmitry said and I frowned
"What?" I asked in confusion
"We have a deadline tomorrow which haven't been completed" He said and I blinked
"Why hasn't it been completed!?" I asked in confusion and he sighed
"One of the employee fucked everything up. He just resigned and his work is incomplete" Dmitry said in anger and I frowned
"My sis and brother-in-law won't be at home at 5! My son will be alone at home. He doesn't like the neighbour either" I said in worry and Dimitry sighed
"Will it be possible to bring him here?" He asked and I shook my head
"No, he'll get bored and cry so late at night" I said
"I could have given it to someone else but everyone already has something to do. Plus I'm the boss, so, I'll take responsibility for that mistake. Will it be possible for us to work at your house? I will understand if you refuse." He said and I stiffened
If I refuse, he'll do everything alone... Like most of the time
Honestly, no matter how strict he is, Dimitry is certainly a hard worker
I've never seen someone work as hard as him
He scolds me most of the time, makes my life hard but I can tell that he has experience
"It's not a problem at all, Dimitry, You are welcome at my place" I said and he nodded
"Thank you for being cooperative" He said and I shrugged
"I'm a good guy, I can be very cooperative if the other wants to" I said and he rose an eyebrow
"So by that, you mean to say that I am not cooperative at all, Mr Cédrik?" He asked flatly and my eyes widened
"I forgot that you were my boss, I'm sorry" I replied awkwardly and he sighed
"I know that we didn't exatly have a good first meeting but I can assure you that I am not a tyrant who is gonna fire you for cracking a joke. My first impression of you was someone irresponsible who had fun all the time but clearly, that's not the case. I am glad that this misconception got cleared. If you would excuse me now, I am going to wait for you in my car to follow you in case I get lost" He stated before taking his files, walking out
I blinked and sighed, rubbing my head
Mr Marik was really weird but he just complimented me...
I didn't know what to think of that.
He spoke in a formal tone yet, his words weren't as rude as the first day.
He had a weird charm around him that affected me too much
Shit, calm down Cédrik, don't you dare start to crush on him just because he started being nice to you!!
I thought to myself before walking out
