ELLIOTT'S POV
Natasha and I hurried out over the expo.
"Didn't know you had that in you" she told me.
"Yeah I didn't either, I guess it's wolf instinct to protect your pack" as cliché as it sounded it was true.
When we made our way out we saw happy looking panicked. "Nobody is answering Their phone's! What's going on?"
"Can't you see what's happening!" I yelled at him.
"Get in the car. Take us to hammer industries" Natasha ordered as we walked up to the car.
"I'm not taking you anywhere!" Happy argued.
Natasha turned back to him. "Fine want me to drive!?"
"No, I'm driving. Get in the car" Natasha got in the backseat, I jumped into the front seat.
Happy floored onto the gas, we drove really fast, running read lights and doing drifts, to say I wasn't having fun was an understatement.
"When we arrive I need you to watch the perimeter" Natasha said quickly. She was getting undressed in the back to change into her cat suit.
"Me and Elliott are gonna entire the facility and take down the target" it was hard for me not to look but I knew now wasn't the time, for happy it was a whole different story.
He almost drove into another car, he barely missed them.
"Watch the road"
"I got it. I got it" I laughed silently to myself.
We arrived at the hammer facility, Natasha got out of the car and opened the door for me.
"Happy stay in the car!" I warned him.
He didn't listen. "I'm not staying in the car"
"He said stay in the car" Natasha glared at him.
"What are you wearing?" We made our way in front of the door.
"Look I'm not letting you go i there alone" happy said.
"She's not alone" I reminded happy.
"You wanna help, keep the car running"
I can't say this isn't my first real fight...well it is my
First real fight.
Natasha was able too get the door open, and of course happy didn't listen and ran in with us.
"Hey, hey you can't come in here!" A guard rushed up to us, happy took a swing and punched him across the face.
Me and Natasha ran threw the double doors.
She slid past a guy throwing electric charges shocking the guy.
Another guy came from around the corner, I jumped onto him and took him to the ground, my paws landed on his neck taking him out.
Natasha slid under a guy hitting him in the a spot you don't wanna be hit in.
She kicked him in the head nocking him out.
Another guard passed the corner, but he stopped when he saw me.
I growled lowly barring my sharp teeth. "Hay whoa watch it little dog, calm down okay" I rolled my eyes.
I jumped forward, my jaw connecting with his arm, he yelled in agony as I pulled him to the floor, I used my strength and threw him into the wall head first nocking him out.
Someone then grabbed my tail, I yelped. I turned around and swiped my long claws into the guys throat, I don't know if I killed him or not but he fell to the floor unconscious.
I looked up and saw Natasha nocked out about six guys, she pepper sprayed the last one.
"Damn you had it easy didn't you"I said catching up to Natasha.
"I got him!" I Hurd happy yell proudly of himself.
I chuckled knowing he was only fighting one person.
We found the door to the room, Natasha kicked it open guns drawn, but no one was in there.
"He's gone" I said loudly.
Natasha immediately went to the computer and started typing away.
"What are you doing?" I asked her.
"I'm rebooting Rhodey's suit" she simply stated. "Yeah so not confusing" I mumbled.
She got access into the suit, and shut it down. Tony's face then came up onto the screen.
"Reboot complete. You got your friend back" Natasha said.
"Thank you very much agent romanoff. Elliott"
"Hay man" I shifted back into my human form and waved at the screen.
"Well done with the new chest piece. I am reading significantly higher output and your vitals all look promising" Natasha was impressed with Tony.
"I'm gonna act like I know what she's saying. glad you not dying tony" I said with a smile.
"Yeah same here" he responded.
"What do you mean he's not dying? Did you say tony was dying?!?" Pepper's voice came out of nowhere on a different Monitor.
"Oh shit" I winced.
"Is that you? No, I'm not. Not anymore" tony responded.
Natasha's head slightly tilted in confusion at the couple.
"What's going on? Elliott why didn't you tell me he was dying!" She yelled.
"Uh sorry?"
"I was going to tell you. I didn't want to alarm you" Tony said.
"Tony don't lie to yourself" i said shifting my Weight onto my left foot.
"You were gonna tell? You really were dying?" Pepper's voice got louder. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"You didn't let me! I was gonna make you an omelette and tell you!"
"Their a match made in heaven" I mumbled.
"Hay, hay. Save it for the honeymoon, you got incoming, Tony. Looks like the fights coming to you" Natasha warned him.
"Are you okay now?" Pepper asked again.
I could bother to listen to them argue anymore and after a few minutes they stopped.
"God their annoying" I pinched the bridge of my nose.
"You get use to it" happy said patting me on the back.
I saw the signals of the drones drop really fast. "Damn their good"
"Hay, it's probably a horrible time but this was a lot of fun" I chuckled with a smile on my face.
A small smile tugging at Natasha's lips. "You did good" she said softly.
Another signal appeared only this was different.
"Heads up you got one more drone incoming. This one looks different. The repulsive signature is significantly higher" as soon as she finished this the line was cut.
"He gots this" I said.
"Hay so uh, I got a quick question?" I said hesitantly.
"Shoot"
"Why were you assigned to Mr. stark in the first place?" I asked.
"Good question, the avengers initiative" she said plainly.
"And that is?" I asked.
"It's a group of people, I'm to write a assessment on him, but I'm doing the same for you"
"When do I get it?" I asked.
"You'll find out" she smiled.
Man she's amazing.
"Sorry to ruin the moment but the city is kinda exploding so, let's get going" happy called out.
I nodded.
"Are you leaving after this?"
She nodded. "Got some work to be done, but I'll keep in touch"
There was a different car with some shield agents. "Well, I guess I'll see you around" I looked at her with a sad smile.
She pulled something out of her pocket, it was a card "If you even decide to join S.H.I.E.L.D, the option will be open, just talk to fury"
"Thanks Natasha, for everything" she smiled before getting into the car and leaving.
"Your helpless"happy chuckled patting my back.
"What? No I'm not" I got into the passenger seat and we were on our way home.
The next day
So me and tony ended up in a warehouse, they said fury will be meeting with me and tony.
"Man take's his time" I shifted my weight onto my right leg.
Tony got lucky to sit in a chair.
"Well it doesn't hurt to be fashionably late" tony shrugged.
Tony picked up a folder that said avengers.
Fury came out of nowhere and pushed it down to the table. "I don't think I want you looking at that"
Fury sat down in the other chair in front of tony. "I'm not sure if it pertains to you anymore" he pulled out another folder. "Now this on the other hand is agent romanoff's assessment of you" he handed it to tony.
"And this is yours Miller" he handed me another folder.
"Read it"
Tony started to read out his and went on complaining about a few things. "Recruitment assignment for avengers initiative. Iron man? Yes' i gotta think about it"
"Read on" fury urged.
"Tony Stark not...not recommended' that doesn't make any sense how can you approve me but not approve me?" Tony went on to argue how he's changed.
"Witch leads us to believe at this juncture we'd only like to use you as a consultant" that sounds harsh.
"Miller, read yours"
Mine on the other hand wasn't so bad. "Prone to panic attacks in large crowds" okay to be fair I have a reason"
"One of my pros is being protective and willing to fight for what he believes in. Well Isn't that us all"
"Recruitment assessment for avengers initiative, the 'hunter', approved" I looked up at fury who nodded. "We would like you to work with us"
"Hay no fair, Natasha actually likes him" tony argued.
Fury ignored tony. "But I'll leave that decision up to you"
Tony sighed and stood up. He shook fury's hand. "You can't afford me"
He went to leave but before he did he turned back to fury. "Then again, I'll wave my customary retainer in exchange for a small favor. Rhoadey and I are being honored in Washington and we need a presenter"
"I'll see what I can do" fury said.
tony turned to me. "You gonna come with, kid?"
Fury spoke before I could. "I would like to talk with Miller"
Tony nodded. "I'll wait for you outside" tony walked out of the warhorse.
"So I would like to give you an offer" fury started, I nodded for him to continue. "I would like to have you in S.H.I.E.L.D, we could use a man like you"
"You mean it sir?"
He nodded "it'll take some training but I think you would become a good agent"
I gave it some thought, but I ultimately knew what I wanted, to help The World, make a difference, fix the mistakes that I made. "I'm in"
