Harry seemed to realize that we weren’t alone. He turned to face everyone and put his arm around my waist, “Oh hey guys, this is Alexandria; my girlfriend.” His smile was truly a sight to behold. “Alex, this is everyone; I’m sure you know their names, and you’ve already met Liam.”
I smiled and waved, “Yeah, hi guys. How’s everyone doing? It’s great to officially meet you all.”
They all waved back and replied, “Hi.” In unison.
“OH!” I remembered Charlie outside and went to get her, “This is my little sister Charlie. That’s her house.”
Charlie just waved at everyone.
“You guys look nothing alike.” Said Louis from his spot on the couch.
We laughed, “Yeah, we’re not related by blood, I’m biologically an only child.” I visibly flinched, “Wait, just kidding I have one half sibling and a step brother; they live in Mexico.”
Louis nodded his understanding.
“That looked painful, are you guys not close?” Liam asked.
“I’ve never met Julian my step brother or his mom my step mother. My father isn’t someone I keep in contact with often, and as for his new spawn, he or she isn’t even here yet so I’ll cross that bridge when I get to it.” Harry rubbed my back in a comforting gesture.
“So no close family then?”
“Liam, leave her be, you just met her.” Harry was cute when he was being defensive.
“So did you Harry; you guys don’t know anything about each other. I’m just trying to help the process along.”
I nodded and smiled at him, “I know, it’s ok. I do have an aunt and uncle in town and my grandmother lives just a couple of blocks away. I have other family in the area, but they’re all family in the sense that Charlie is my sister. I don’t have a lot of family left, and the ones I do have mostly live out of state.” Liam nodded and looked ready to ask another question. I held up my hand, “Don’t go there Liam; don’t ask about my mom.”
He looked sheepish, “How did you know….?”
“Because, you’re easy to read, and because most people ask. I’ll fill you in later, but right now I’d like to eat something, because I haven’t eaten since before the concert.”
Liam nodded and smiled, “Of course, I understand.”
