"Friends, I am so excited to see the object you decided to bring for our first show and tell." I sat on the floor with the kids who each held something in their hand to show the rest of the class. It was adorable to see them so excited about this project, honestly it was not my favorite when i was in school but I'm glad that they're enjoying it. "Would anyone like to go first? Or should we go in a circle?" I asked them immediately most of them yelled that they wanted to go first. I pretended to be shocked and looked around at them. "Oh my goodness, friends, I love how you all want to participate!" I appreciated their positive behavior. "We'll go in a circle them, lets start over on this side. Taytum, would you share with the class what you brought." The girl cheered and started talking.
"This is my favorite blanket." She started talking as she tried stretching out the soft, pink baby blanket. "My mommy told me that it was the first blanket I ever had and I love it so much, I sleep with it every night because its so warm and it makes me so happy." she smiled as she cuddled the blanket.
"Thats a very pretty blanket, Taytum. Thank you for sharing with us. Does anyone have any questions for her." i asked.
"Do you remember when you got it?" Charlotte asked her and Taytum shook her head.
"No, I think I was to little to remember." She responded with a giggle.
After about 45 minutes they had all gone and then it was my turn to share something with them. I undid the bracelet i had on my wrist and held it up for them to see. "That's a very beautiful necklace." One of the said and i smiled, thanking them.
"When I graduated high school, a few years ago, my mom gave me this." I told them. "Its very special to me because my mommy is no longer with me so every time I look at this bracelet, it reminds me of her and I know that she loved me very much." I did my best to not let a single tear escape my eyes because I did not want to worry them and I was successful.
"It has pink, that's your favorite color, right Miss Downey." Grayson asked.
"It is, Gray. Thank you for remembering." I laughed. Grayson and I had gotten so much closer over the month. I always told myself that I would not have favorites but of course, there's always that one kid that completely melts your heart. Now, i would never let him are any of my other students know that he was the favorite. Soon after, it was lunch time and the kids lined up, some holding their lunch boxes because they didn't eat the school food.
"Alright friends, remember we stay in a line and we don't get out of it." I reminded them as we walked our the door. Surprisingly we did not bump into Toms class. we usually met them half and we'd walk together but we made it to the lunch room and his class was already their and Tom was gone. "I'll see you guys later, have fun." I said as I left. I made my way back to the Preschool area of the campus and grabbed my lunch bag and took it to Toms room who was heading out.
"Oh Miss Downey." he looked surprised. "I emailed you, saying that I wouldn't be able to eat with you today, or the rest of this week." He said and and I frowned.
"I didn't get to read it." i said leaning on his doorway. "But why are you leaving me?" I asked him as I Pouted my lips.
"Aw, don't do that Rosalie, you know I love eating with you. But I'm going to Julies room." He explained and I looked at him confused and my stomach dropped at them mention of Julies name. It was very obvious that the first grade teacher was attracted to him.
"Okay, but why?" my voice came out with a hint of disgust even though it was not my intention for it to come out like that. A smirk grew on Toms face, the same smirk that made me get butterflies in my stomach. he walked over to me and left a small amount of space between us.
"She's one of the teachers that is helping me with the lip sync battle. Everyone in the dance is meeting there to practice." He explained.
"Whats wrong with your classroom? Why can't you practice there?" I hated the fact that I was Jealous, out of all the teachers, why Julie? I couldn't stand her.
"Because you'd be able to hear the music and I want everything to be a surprise. But don't worry about Julie, Miss Downey, I'm still all yours." He whispered, his hot breath hotting my face
I scoffed and looked away from him for a second the turned back, "I'm not worried about her.". He chuckled and responded with a 'sure you're not. And with that he was gone and he left me in his classroom. I decided to eat there, too lazy to go back into my own class even if it was just a few feet away. I scrolled through Pinterest and Instagram, switching between the two apps for about 45 minutes before I heard the door open and in walked Tom. he was clearly shocked to see me in his classroom laying down in the middle of his circle time carpet.
"hello love, glad to see you're still here." He smirked as he sat next to me and stretched his legs out. I looked up at him from my phone then looked down again and kept scrolling.
"Well I couldn't wait until you came back and told me all about your time in Julies classroom." I said kind of in a mocking voice and he chuckles scooting closer to me so we were right in front of each other.
"Oh darling, there is no need for you to be Jealous." He smiled butting his hand on my knee. I looked at my knee than back at him and swatted his hand away.
"Really? Jealous? You think I'm Jealous? That's ridiculous, Tom." i told him as I leaned back down and got on my phone again.
"Is it though, Rosalie?" He asked.
"I have nothing to be jealous of." I told him.
'Whatever you say, darling."
"I don't want to talk about this anymore. Lets talk about our upcoming field trip." I changed the subject. "How many parent chaperones do you have?" I asked him as I sat back up. he nodded and grabbed a binder.
"Yes, I have 4, which is perfect because each parent would have 3 kids, including me." He said as he opened the binder to a page were he had students divided with different parents.
"Oh perfect, I have 4 parents too, so we'll each have 3 kids, too." I smile, i was so excited, the field trip was in two weeks, and we were going to the zoo, which was perfect because that week both classes would be learning about animals. And the better part is that Tom had gotten an approval to have his friend, Harrison I believe his name was, drop off his dog, Tessa.
"I got the permission slips printed for us, I'll bring you your copies." Tom said as he got up and went to his filing cabinet and pulled out a stack of papers to bring back to me. "I made 5 extra, just in case." He smiled.

The end of the week was nearing and the teachers were preparing for teacher night. Tom had been talking non stop about how much I was going to love his performance to which I responded with a 'We'll see' . There was no point in me telling me telling myself that Tom was just a crush. My feelings for him were definitely growing and it bugged me because I didn't know how he felt. Sure, he would flirt occasionally, he would compliment me once in a while. But that didn't answer any of my questions. Tom was a sweet guy, it could be that he was not flirting at all but just being nice and I was dying to know the answer. My dad and I, surprisingly, have been talking a lot since we had dinner that night and I was loving it. He knew all about my feelings for tom and he was always telling me the best advise as well as asking for the daily scoop of Tom and I. He was convinced the feeling was mutual but I didn't want to believe him. I wanted to hear it from Tom. The doorbell rang, intercepting my thoughts. I squealed and got up, knowing exactly who it was.
I oped the door and greeted the delivery man holding my take out. "Enjoy your meal, have a good rest of your night." He told me. I returned the smile and thanked him before closing the door and running back to my spot on the couch. I Took out the chopsticks and opened all the takeout boxes, my mouth watering at the sight of all the delicious foods. I took my first bite and moaned. I made a deal with myself that I was allowed to order food Wednesday nights only and I was going to take full advantage of that deal. My phone notified me that i had a message so I picked it up and saw that it was from the one and only: Tom Holland.

I waited for his response while I stuffed my face with more Chinese. I turned on the TV and went to my Disney+ account and clicked on the jungle book because I did not get to finish it a few days ago. I heard my phone again so I picked it up and smiled.

My cheeks turned red and I could basically see his smirk. There was no doubt in my head that he was smirking.

He responded with a picture a fish net looking thing, I couldn't figure it out. It looked like fishnets you would wear but i doubted that's what it was.

I giggled and put my phone down to enjoy the rest of the movie. It was at the part were Mowgli gets stung by the bees. How painful. The movie ended soon after and I went to the kitchen to throw away my rash and put my leftovers in a container for my lunch tomorrow then headed to my bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. I started getting butterflies in my stomach and I grinned. Tom, popped into head. His constant teasing drove me crazy but I loved it. And when he'll lean into me and whisper things in my ear, my heart beats so fast, it almost feels like he's going to kiss me but he never does. I'm still waiting for him to ask me out for dinner again. Finished with my night time routine, I put on my pajamas and snuggled into my bed and fell asleep pretty fast.
