"No no, the title was supposed to be bigger than the authors name, not the opposite .. have you never seen a book? Ugh. No I'll fix it. Just stop the copies from being released"
I put down the phone. Oh my gosh. People I swear.

I looked up from my phone
Employee:
"Hey we have another issue with the print"
Oh no, here we go

I had stayed an extra hour at work today. So many issues.
I was on my way home when I had seen a ice cream shop.
Y/n:
'A little ice cream never hurt anyone' I thought to my self
I went in to the little bright pink store that smelled like, cake batter and waffle cones. Nothing else like it. Right when I opened the door a little bell rang announcing my presence.
Worker:
"Hello, welcome"
Y/n:
"Hello"
There was a small line. Nothing too big. Typical for a hot day like today.
Worker:
"Hello miss, what would you like today?"
Y/n:
"One medium salted caramel ice cream please"
She then handed me the cold treat
Worker:
"3.49" I have her the money then went out in front of the shop to where there was a little seating area
As I am about to take my first lick someone else comes out of the store, I notice his wallet fell as he was putting in his pants pocket
I bent to pick it up for him, then I noticed he was doing the same thing
Y/n /???:
"Oh sorry," we said in unison. We then look up into each other's eyes

"Y/n?" He said in shock
Y/n:
"jeongin.."
Jeongin:
"Hey, how... how are you?"
Y/n:
"I'm good. And you?"
Jeongin:
"Yeah, I'm good too. But- how- why- you're here.." he said the last part a bit, surprised.
Y/n:
"Yeah I um. I moved back last year." He just nodded his head waiting for me to give more details on where I have been all these years
I looked at his ice cream that's on the break of melting
Y/n:
"Salted caramel huh?" He looked confused until I motioned towards the ice cream in his hand
Jeongin:
"Yeah" he chuckled
Y/n:
"I thought you didn't like it" I tilted my head
Jeongin:
"People change. I started ordering more because it reminded me of you" why did that hurt for some reason
I didn't know what to say to that. We just stood their. Talk about an awkward situation
Y/n:
"Um I actually have to go. Can I give you my number. We should have dinner some time. And catch up" I know he would like that, "here" I gave him my phone
After we exchanged numbers we went our separate ways. Honestly I didn't really need to leave. But I was tired and I needed time to, prepare my self for my explanation.
I haven't had any contact with anyone after I randomly left my senior year.
I just up and left. Without an explanation, with out a goodbye. Well I did say goodbye to someone. Him.

Y/n:
"Hey mom,"
I walked in and set my keys and purse down
Y/n:
"Ou smells good, what are you.. who's this?" I ask as she's setting three plates. One for me and her and one for the random stranger in our kitchen
(Author note, I had just realized I messed up
Mom:
"This is Jaemin. He's um, well Y/n dear will you have a seat please. We need to talk about something"
I sat down at the table with a confused expression on my face.
Y/n:
"Whats up?"
Mom:
"Well it's kind of hard to explain, but I don't want to sugar code anything"
I looked at this Jaemin kid then at my mom signaling her to continue
Mom:
"You know how hard I worked for the ceo of my company all these years, and well Jaemin and his family, the Na's are also big in the business world"
Oh hell no. I already knew were this was going
Mom:
"So, The Na's and I have decided it would be best for both companies if you were to-"
Y/n:
"No" I said in a sharp tone
Mom:
"Y/n, calm down"
Y/n:
" calm down? You want me to marry a man I don't even know. You want me to marry a stranger!" I got up banging my hands on the table
Mom:
"This is no way to act when guest are here. Sit down and be polite. You will do this. Rather you like it or not. It's not all bad"
Y/n:
"Not all bad, oh really. You and dad were in an arranged marriage and look how that turned out" I was practically screaming at this point. I didn't even care if my 'soon to be husband' was sitting there the whole time
I ran up stairs to my room and laid on the bed crying
I got a notification from my phone
Jeongin (text):
"Hey it's Jeongin, from earlier today. So when are you wanting to have dinner"
Oh right.
Y/n (text)
" um, friday at 6?"
Jeongin (text):
"Sounds good"
Y/n (text):
"Do you mind picking me up for it?"
Jeongin (text):
"Yeah sure just send me the address when the time comes, bye for now"
Y/n (text):
"Byee"
Three days. Not so bad.
