February 14th, one of the most despised yet loved day.
''My boyfriend expects me to give him some heartfelt chocolates today, but all he's gonna get is a breakup.''
''I hope that Teruhashi will give me chocolates today!''
Today is Valentines day, and [Y/N] was certainly gonna get annoyed with this day. She would be happy if she got friendship chocolates from her friends, but when everyone around her is getting heartfelt ones, it starts to get a little sad.
'Seems like the common talk here is wondering if Teruhashi will give them chocolates, which is highly unlikely. Well, maybe sheー No, that's out of the question. Even if she did, war would break out to see who will get it and who got it.' [Y/N] thought, as she looked at her schoolbag.
''Hairo, thanks for bringing me that thing the other day I left behind the other day!''
''Upperclassmen Hairo! Here are some chocolates for you! Thank you for advising me during practice the other day!''
'Hairo is pretty popular..' [Y/N] thought, as she walked by Hairo, who was getting smothered by girls giving him gifts.
''Hairo! Thanks for testifying at the trial the other day!''
''Hairo! Thank you for saving me from both a brown bear and a saber-toothed cat the other day!''
'Either these girls have the worst luck in the world or I'm going insane,' [Y/N] thought, now starting to walk faster just so she would get away from those girls. 'Seriously, I wouldn't even be surprised if they fell in love with him after that!'
''Phew.. Hey, Saiki! Good morning!'' Hairo called out to Saiki, who was currently walking past him. Saiki turned to him, but his eyes were directed on the bags Hairo was carrying. It was overloaded with chocolates.
''Ah, did you manage to see that?'' Hairo said, as he looked down on his bags. ''I have no clue on what to do. I can't eat all this.''
'Well, I can't blame him,' Saiki turned to the familiar voice of thoughts, as it lifted his mood on this dreadful day. Of course, it was [Y/N]'s. 'I don't think I'd be able to eat all of that... well, I wouldn't even be able to get that much, nonetheless one.'
'Trust me, [Y/N], the courtesy chocolates from me would be able to fill up the school with how grateful I am that you exist.'
''Oh, [L/N], hey!'' Hairo shouted, wanting to wave his hand, but couldn't, since it was currently preoccupied with a bag filled with chocolates. [Y/N] looked at him like a deer in headlights, unaware she was standing in one place, looking at Saiki and Hairo talk.
''Oh...Hey Hairo, Saiki.''
''Nice to see you, [Y/N].''
''Nice to see you too, Saiki.'' [Y/N] walked up to them.
''Have any idea what to do with all this stuff?'' Hairo asked.
''I'm not sure. I don't think you should ask anyone to help eat, since they were specifically for you.'' [Y/N] had to admit, she was a bit jealous. All those chocolates in one day completely free?
''I guess you're right.. Speaking of which, [L/N],'' [Y/N] looked at Hairo, who noticed the fact that she kept staring at her own school bag. ''Did you bring any chocolates to give someone?''
'Hairo, haven't you realized it yet?' Saiki had to hold himself back from looking smug, as a small grin was plastered on his face. '[Y/N] is the Goddess Of Normality. There's no way she would waste her time onー'
''Hm? Oh, yeah, I have.''
'...Eh?'
That one answer made the ghostly grin plastered on his face completely disappear. Honestly, he probably didn't even want to hear [Y/N]'s answer. What bothered him is the fact that he hears [Y/N]'s thoughts daily, and he never heard anything about someone possibly being a love interest, so this took him by complete surprise.
'I need to figure out who this person is. Who knows, maybe this person is trying to change her. Well, they have another thing coming, as I'll be the guardian to her ordinariness!'
Saiki was snapped out of his thoughts when [Y/N] and Hairo kept trying to snap him out of his gaze. Nonetheless, all three of them entered the classroom. He quickly went to his desk and sat down before anyone else could approach him.
'Who could it be? The most I saw her talk to was...me,' Saiki shook his head in disagreement. 'Definitely not. The second person would most likely be Kaidou, or maybe Hairo.'
''Hey, Kaidou.''
''Y-Yes?!''
'Hah?' Saiki knew that voice better than anyone, so he quickly looked in the desk in front of him, which was Kaidou's. [Y/N] was standing there, a plastic bag that had chocolates in it. In that moment, Saiki realized he had jinxed himself.
''Here.'' [Y/N] held out the chocolates.
''H-Huh?! [L/N], I didn't know you saw me in that way!'' Kaidou's face turned into a massive blush, as he waved his hands around wildly. Saiki let out an exasperated sigh, as he looked away from the two while resting his face on his palm.
'No need to make a scene, Kaidou. We get it, you get the most wonderful person to be by your side, how greatー'
''Huh? No, what're you saying? These are friendship ones.''
Saiki's thoughts paused for a moment, and looked at the two with sudden hope in his eyes.
''Oh.'' While Kaidou was somewhat disappointed, he let out a small sigh of relief. Nonetheless, he graciously accepted the gift, happy he still got chocolate.
'Of course they were friendship ones! I assumed too quickly, [Y/N], you're still the most ordinary person in the world!' Saiki thought, as he, too, let out a sigh of relief. However, he couldn't help but admit that he was disappointed that he didn't get any from her.
However, once again, his thoughts were interrupted by another set of thoughts, that had a sickly-sweet voice.
'In any case, I need to find Saiki. I mean, I did go out of my way to get these chocolates for him! I bet he will turn into a stuttering mess, letting out an 'Oh' in the meantime, since it was from me, the perfect pretty girl!'
'Good grief...' Once again, he had jinxed himself, but with the wrong person. By 'her' he had meant [Y/N], and definitely not Teruhashi. While he wouldn't mind chocolate in this scenario, he wouldn't mind getting it from [Y/N], as he stood up from his desk.
'Now for ー Eh? Where is he going?' [Y/N] thought, staring at Saiki, who she saw leave the classroom just now. She walked to her desk and sat on the chair, but she couldn't help but look at the door with disappointment.
'How will I be able to give him chocolates now?'
'...I need to get this over with, and fast.'
Saiki started sprint-walking to Teruhashi's location. Ironically, he wanted [Y/N]'s chocolates more than he wanted the perfect pretty girl's chocolates.
'Where even is Teruhashi? The bell is gonna ring in approximately 3 minutes. Strange how the perfect pretty girl can't come to class in time,' Saiki wanted to let out another sigh, as all the students thoughts about Teruhashi entered his head. 'Never mind. It will probably be excused, since the majority of students are going after her.'
'I can't let anyone find out that I got chocolates for Saiki! If they did, they would probably beat him up! I bet World War would start to get these..' Saiki mentally disagreed, as it was impossible to hurt him, but at least he finally knew where Teruhashi was.
He entered the school bathroom, and looked around to see if no one was there, then swiftly teleported outside.
'O-Of course, these are courtesy ones for that one time in New Years! Oh, forget it! Someone will probably get killed for these!' He heard Teruhashi's thoughts, as he saw a window open, and later chocolates getting thrown out by the perfect pretty girl.
'That's a little dramatic, don't you think?' Saiki thought, as the chocolates fell into his hand. Soon after, he heard the bell ring.
'...I guess I'll have to wait until the next bell rings. Good grief.'

'...Good grief.' Saiki wanted to teleport to his home and fall asleep for the rest of his life.
He couldn't believe that the universe hated him this much, to the point where [Y/N] couldn't even reach Saiki when the bell would ring, cause of something coming up and distracting her.
Every single person that was friends with [Y/N] got friendship chocolates from her, except him.
'If I just delayed Teruhashi's chocolates and got [Y/N]'s first, I wouldn't even need to think about all this.' He had the strong urge to grab the chocolates in his bag, which were from Teruhashi's, and destroy it.
All because he heard Teruhashi's thoughts first. And why? Cause of his powers. God, he wanted to get this day over with.
''Huh? Saiki?'' [Y/N] mumbled under her breath, as she realized she was behind Saiki this whole time. She wasn't even aware of the fact that they went the same way.
Saiki, obviously hearing that, turned around, snapping [Y/N] out of her gaze. Before they could exchange any ''Hello's'', she reached out to her school bag, and pulled out a plastic bag filled with chocolates.
''Yeah, um... I couldn't give it to you at school,'' She walked towards Saiki closer, and reached out the bag of chocolates. ''So I hope that now is fine.'' Her tone sounded nervous and awkward, but Saiki didn't mind it.
''It's fine.'' He accepted the gift without hesitation, as he also put it in his school bag, but not before giving a quick glare to the other bag of chocolates. Thankfully, [Y/N] didn't notice the glare.
''Whew, I'm glad. I'm pretty sure I spent the whole day trying to give it to you. Well, see you tomorrow then, Saiki.'' She waved, as she past Saiki and continued walking down the throne.
'And I spent the whole day waiting for it.' Saiki thought, as he looked down at his school bag.
'...She didn't specify whether it was friendship or not,' He thought, but dismissed it as soon as it came. 'It doesn't matter. She probably knew that I knew it was friendship ones.'
Still, he couldn't deny the fact he was excited to eat it when he comes back home, as there was a small smile on his lips. His sweet tooth always got ahead of itself. Suddenly, he stopped walking.
'...Did I just spend the entire day thinking about chocolates?'
