I could feel him coming closer; the pull grew stronger and as he stood in front of the door, I winced softly. Kilyan threw me a look but went to open the door when the bell rang.
"What's up man?" He said, way too cheery for my liking but Lucifer's voice sent shivers down my back as he answered in his deep bass voice.
"Nothing much, just wondering why my best friend drags me to a movie night with the fairy." He'd been walking towards the couch where I was sitting and leaned in close as he said the last word. His lips grazed my ear and I couldn't help it as I brought my hand up to keep his face next to mine. I turned around and saw his eyes wide, staring at me. The most amazing green I had ever seen but I pulled away quickly and slapped him across the face.
"Keep your distance, puppy." I spat and turned back facing the window where snow was slowly falling, coating the ground, trees and cars in a layer of white. Kilyan and Lucifer went to the kitchen and I pushed up from the couch to walk over to the window. It was already dark but you could see the snow in the yellow light of the streetlamp and I was glad when my phone rang.
"Lukeyyyyy~ Where are you?" I sang into the phone.
"Outside in your car. Come and open the door quickly so I don't have to freeze to death before I have the chance to cie a warmer but equally as torturous death." He drawled and I laughed but ran to the door adn swung it open. Quick as a wolf he was inside and the door closed behind him. There was snow in his dark hair, which made him look incredibly cute, but it was quickly melting in the warm house.
"Kilyan! We're all here. Let's get this started." I shouted enthusiastically, trying to forget about the fact that the devil was here too.

"I am not going to watch Mean Girls." Lucifer glared at me.
"But it's such a good movie." I whined and gave him the puppy eyes.
"Guys.." Kilyan tried but Lucifer wouldn't budge.
"No, it's such a girly film." He drawled and challenged me.
"Girly? Fine I admit that it is, but it's so good! It's a must-see! And you've never seen it, so really you should-"
"No." He was smirking, the devil; I growled and glared at him.
"What about The Hobbit, guys?" Luke whispered.
"That is a great idea." Kilyan agreed enthusiastically and I watched as Luke blushed soon followed by Kilyan as he noticed what he'd done. "I mean, The Hobbit is a really good movie and you loved the book, Eddie." I grumbled but had to agree. I loved the book, it was an amazing read and Tolkien was one of my favourite writers ever, I hadn't seen the movies yet though and I didn't even know why, it just hadn't happened.
"Okay fine." I rolled my eyes but grinned.
"Dibs on the couch!" Lucifer and I shouted at the same time, I shot him a glare and we sprinted up the stairs together, racing to Kilyan's room and plopping down on the coach at the same time. Luke and Kilyan followed soon after and since Lucifer and I were too stubborn to move, they had to sit down on the love-seat together. I saw Luke send me a desperate look but a the same time he gestured for me to read his thoughts. I frowned but did.
Are you okay, sitting with him? I hate you for making me sit with him by the way. Just so you know. Now get lost.
I chuckled but grew serious and nodded; I think I was okay with sitting next to him. We had a bit more space between us than Lukyan anyway. I shrugged and placed a bowl of salty popcorn between us.
"I love the salty ones." I said and grabbed a few at the same time as the devil beside me. Our hands met and I froze. I felt him freeze too but didn't dare look away from our touching hands in the bowl. Suddenly his fingers moved and caressed mine, which made me realise what was going on and I finally snapped out of it and pulled away. Lucifer let out a forceful breath and retracted his hand too. I looked up to see Luke staring at me slightly worried, but only until Kilyan sat back down next to him, his legs obviously brushing his and this time it was him who froze. The opening credits started playing and I forgot about the devil beside me and my best friend who needed my help and my cousin who was too stubborn for his own good. I forgot who the guy next to me was so I threw up my legs half-way through the movie and put them on his lap, he didn't shove them down which was a good thing I guess. I also forgot about Luke's habit of falling asleep during movies so when the movie was over and I looked over, Luke was asleep on Kilyan's lap. I thought Kilyan would be uncomfortable but I guess Luke being his mate did have an effect on him after all because he was relaxed and even had his fingers playing with my best friend's hair. I smiled lovingly as I watched their interaction and even shared that smile with Lucifer, which was another revelation in itself.
"Mean Girls." I stated and although Lucifer groaned and protested I stood up and changed the dvd. I smirked when I saw the relieved expression when instead of Mean Girls, the second Hobbit movie started playing.
"Thanks." He mumbled half-way through the movie and I almost thought I'd imagined it if he hadn't reached out and given my hand a soft squeeze, the tingles shooting throught my entire body. I stared at him for a second before I turned back to the movie. Why was he so damned confusing? He annoyed me and teased me, insulted me and then... he's suddenly all cuddly and cute? He'd even allowed me to put my legs back onto his lap when I had sat back down and offered me the last bits of salty popcorn and the last can of coke. When I looked back over at Lukyan I was kind of pleased to see Luke still fast asleep but now Kilyan was asleep too, his hand curled around Luke's hip in a very protective manner and his head fallen onto the back of the love-seat. I grinned and took out my phone to take a quick picture; they were the cutest couple ever. They fit together like two puzzle pieces. Luke was tall and more of a lean muscly, with a mop of brown curls on his head and the sweetest chocolate eyes, whereas Kilyan towered over everyone with big, bulging muscle, short cropped black hair and kind hazel eyes. They made quite the couple. Luckily our pack wasn't opposed to homosexuality; we had two more gay couples and even one lesbian. Gay couples weren't the norm and didn't occur often but they did exist and the High Wolf Council had moved passed the hate and prejudice towards them.
"They're cute, I'll admit that." Lucifer suddenly whispered. I'd forgotten all about the movie this time and turned to look at him.
"They are, aren't they?" I smiled and tilted my head as I looked at Lucian. "Why di-"
"Don't. Please." He sounded pained and I sat up and curled my legs underneath my body.
"Why? Why not? We're m-" I tried again but he interrupted me again.
"Fairy, just leave it okay?" And he was back to being an asshole.
"Why do you do this, huh?" I seethed. "Why do you keep pushing me away? We're mates. Don't even try to deny it. Why would you reject me? I don't understand?!" I whisper-shouted since I didn't want to wake Kilyan and Luke up, but my voice dropped into more of a whimpering cry at the end.
"Eden..." He whispered and I gasped as he said my name, because... well... he said my name. I liked the way he said it; I don't even think he said it any differently to other people but just the fact that it was him, him, saying it... He never used my name. He'd always called me fairy, as long as I could remember I had always been "fairy". We startled as Kilyan moved, he'd woken up. He stared down at Luke in his lap for a second before he looked up at us and then sent us a wry smile.
"I'll just..." He left the sentence unfinished and gestured to Luke. I tilted my head in question, but got my answer as he lifted my best friend into his arms gently, as if he didn't want to wake him and placed him in his bed, pulled the covers over him and then moved to the other side of said bed.
"G'night, guys." He mumbled before he joined Luke and soon after we could hear his snores. I chuckled quietly but immediately stopped when I felt Lucifer's eyes on me.
"What now? You got any more things you don't want to talk about?" I hissed and I knew I was being unfair but he was being so annoying and damned... well... Lucifer.
"No." He spat back and pushed himself off of the couch. "Sweet dreams, fairy." But it sounded anything but "sweet dreams". He stomped out of the room and I heard a door a few feet down the hall open and close. I fell back against the couch with a sigh. Why was this so complicated? Was the last thought that ran through my mind before I fell asleep.
