Pain. Pain is all that my mind can ponder as I desperately try to drag my self down this dark alley.
"I give up, I can't do this anymore." I said as i began to sob. I bent down and embraced myself in a ball.
The echoes of my moping bounced off the alley walls. But even then, the slightest noise of another could be heard. And it was exactly that, a noise of slow approaching footsteps.
Alarmed, I bolted away. Ignoring and nearly forgetting my past dilemma, I ran as fast as I possibly could.
At last, I reached my district. I am again reminded of the dark shadow afloat above me. Constantly taunting me every chance it gets. In large bold lettering, Orphic is displayed above my districts wide and haunting entrance. Or at least only to an Orphic, like myself.
In this "oh so magical realm" of mine, we have three tiers in which every spirit is divided into: Vims, Vads, and Orphics. The VVO Order.
Vims are the elites of the elite. They are like angels, but less biblical. Spirits who did good in their living days, who were then rewarded for it in the spiritual realm.
Vads on the other are not really the best. They are like demons. Completely corrupt as both living and dead beings. Just over all evil.
Then, there are Orphics. We aren't exactly good nor bad. We're free floating in the middle. There is one detail about us, however, that makes us "special". Orphics are randomly chosen. It doesn't matter what good or bad you did, your an orphic and there's nothing you can do about it.
