[Y/n] sat in the cafeteria of the old boy's dorms, scrolling through his phone as he ate his breakfast. He had, thankfully, gotten a decent night's sleep and had all of his homework for the day completed. All in all, today was starting great.

"Hello." A familiar voice greeted and [Y/n] turned to see Yukio walking toward him with his tray of breakfast in hand. [Y/n] gave him a small wave.

"Hey." He greeted back, taking a bite of his food while Yukio sat down next to him. Just as they were about to begin talking, a loud crash was heard from the floor above them.

"SHIT!" Rin's booming voice suddenly bellowed through the corridors. [Y/n] raised an eyebrow in confusion while Yukio put his head in his hands in exasperation. "I overslept!" Rin added and both [Y/n] and Yukio could hear heavy footsteps and even heavier breathing coming toward them at top speed. [Y/n] slowly turned toward the entrance of the cafeteria just in time to see Rin stumble into the room. [Y/n] looked him up and down. His hair was messy, his shirt was open, his tie wasn't on right and his pants were practically falling off of his hips. "Why didn't you wake me up, four-eyed mole-faced bastard?!" Rin screamed at Yukio, completely ignoring [Y/n]'s presence. Said [h/c]-haired male just sweatdropped as Yukio let out an exhausted sigh.

"I tried three times!" Yukio argued, finally looking up from his hands. [Y/n] felt extremely uncomfortable in the middle of all this.

"Try harder!" Rin argued back, growling at his brother. It was at that moment that he finally noticed the other male in the room. When Rin's surprised gaze fell on him, [Y/n] awkwardly offered him a small wave. After about three seconds without a reaction, Rin's hands suddenly shot toward his back as if he were checking for something. Panic was very clear on his face but disappeared a moment later when he realised that nothing was wrong. [Y/n] raised a confused eyebrow before turning to the younger Okumura twin.

"Is he always like this?" [Y/n] asked, earning a long defeated sigh from Yukio as he rubbed his eyes under his glasses.

"You have no idea..." He replied, watching his brother walk and collect his pre-prepared breakfast before slumping down in the chair beside Yukio. He quickly clapped his hands and said thanks before digging into the food like an animal. [Y/n] was worried that he was going to choke with how fast he was eating. He was devowing his food after than [Y/n] had ever seen anyone eat before. Honestly, it was kind of impressive. "I'm sorry that you have to witness this."

"Oh shut up! You're just as annoying in your own ways!" Rin snapped in between bites before turning to [Y/n] with a smirk. "And sorry in advance for anything stupid that my baby brother does. He can be a real handful sometimes." Rin announced smugly, causing [Y/n] to sweatdrop at the comment as he watched them. He really didn't believe that. The older one had his arm wrapped around the younger one while he tried to push him off. [Y/n] shook his head with a soft chuckle before grabbing his tray and standing up.

"I should head to class." He announced, putting his empty tray by the bin before grabbing his bag and walking toward the exit of the cafeteria. Yukio sent him a nod and a small wave.

"We'll be right behind you!" Rin exclaimed as he began violently shovelling food into his mouth again, earning a groan of disgust from his brother.

~*~

"What are you guys doing?" [Y/n] asked as he stepped into the cafeteria of the boys' dorms, sliding his case and bag off of his shoulder and onto the floor as he walked toward Yukio and Rin, who was doing something in the kitchen. He had just finished tutoring Shima on demonology and was beyond exhausted, both mentally and physically. Shima could be as dumb as Rin when he wanted to. As both Okumura twins turned toward him, the smell of delicious food assaulted [Y/n]'s nose. "Holy crap that smells amazing." He breathed out, his mouth salivating at the first whiff of the delicious meal.

"Oh, hey, [L/n]." Rin greeted, looking up from his cooking as he gave his friend a wide smile. Yukio offered him a small wave that [Y/n] returned as he sat on the stool next to him. "Since we get paid next to nothing and only once a month, we can't afford cafeteria food. So I'm making bento boxes for our lunches for the week." He explained as he began frying some rice over the stove.

"Smart." [Y/n] replied, resting his head on his hand as he watched Rin. He chuckled quietly at the sight of bold and rebellious Rin giddily bouncing around the kitchen in a bright yellow apron with his hair pinned back.

"By the way, where do you get your food for lunch?" Yukio suddenly asked, pulling [Y/n] from his thoughts as he turned to face the brunette with a raised eyebrow. "You said that you don't have a lot of money so I doubt you buy from the cafeteria." Yukio added and Rin suddenly looked up from his cooking, seemingly interested as well. [Y/n] scratched the back of his head in embarrassment as he let out an awkward laugh.

"No, on Sundays I run to the store off-campus and stock up on whatever premade sandwiches or fresh fruit I can last on for the week." [Y/n] replied, looking away in embarrassment. He wasn't exactly 'broke', he had saved up a lot of money from working in the library and he had the money that was left for him from his parents, but he was still far from wealthy. And considering how True Cross was a rich kids' school and the cafeteria food averaged at around 4,000¥ per meal, he wasn't exactly planning on splurging every time he had to eat. Rin smiled at the reply before gesturing toward some of the boxes he had already made.

"Well, then it's a good thing I made you some too!" He announced with a giddy smile. [Y/n]'s eyes went wide as he leaned forward to try and get a better look at the lunches. They looked delicious.

"You... made me lunch?" [Y/n] asked, completely taken aback by the act of kindness. He hadn't expected that. He appreciated it, of course, but he still felt a bit guilty for not contributing to it. Rin and Yukio smiled as they nodded.

"We bought more than enough ingredients so we figured that we'd put them to good use." Yukio explained as he watched his brother dish up the rise as he finished frying it.

"You didn't have to..." [Y/n] replied awkwardly before taking out his wallet. "Here, at least let me pay you back." He said, taking out a wad of cash and holding it out toward Yukio. The younger Okumura put his hands in front of him while shaking his head. [Y/n]'s lips formed into a tight frown as he pushed the money toward him again. but Yukio still didn't budge.

"It's fine." Rin announced, quickly moving beside [Y/n] and pushing his handful of yen notes down to his lap. The [h/c]-haired male was about to protest but Rin cut him off before he could. "We're friends so we don't mind."

"Thanks, you guys." [Y/n] thanked with a sigh as he put the money back in his wallet before pocketing it. "But next time let me know when you're buying your ingredients and I'll chip in. It's only fair." He ordered, flashing the pair a quick smile as they nodded in agreement.

"Deal." Rin replied, giving [Y/n] a thumbs up as he turned back to his current task - sauteing mushrooms.

"That actually works out a lot better." Yukio spoke up, putting his hand on his chin in thought. Rin and [Y/n] both turned to him, curious about his explanation. "We have more money to work with and [L/n] doesn't have to worry about buying crap food a week in advance." He explained with a confident smirk while Rin nodded in agreement, already mentally preparing a list of all the new ingredients he wanted to experiment with. [Y/n] smiled as he watched Yukio calculate the cost of the ingredients against how reliable they could be while Rin bounced around the kitchen muttering about all of the new dishes he could make. Letting out a sigh, [Y/n] shook his head with a small smile.

"[Y/n]." He suddenly spoke up, earning confused looks from the twins as they stopped what they were doing and turned to him. Yukio raised his eyebrow while Rin tilted his head to the side. [Y/n] chuckled as he watched them try to piece together why he just said his name out of the blue. "I call both of you by your first names so it's only fair that you guys call me [Y/n]." He clarified, watching the cogs turn in both their heads as they put together what he meant. Rin's mind was working a lot harder than Yukio's from the looks of it.

"Are you sure?" Yukio asked awkwardly, not wanting [Y/n] to feel obligated to let them call him by his given name. [Y/n] just brushed off his concern.

"I actually prefer it." He replied casually, offering the pair a small smile. The two boys shared a quick look before nodding in agreement. They understood that it probably had something to do with his family's death. But who were they to judge?

"Cool. [Y/n] it is." Rin replied with a wide smile that [Y/n] returned. Yukio chuckled as he rolled his eyes at his brother's excitable nature before turning to [Y/n], deciding to change the subject.

"How Rin's tutoring was going?" He asked and [Y/n] could practically feel Rin tense up at the question. [Y/n] could hear a nervous squeak followed by the sound of the soup ladle that Rin was using hitting the ground. Yukio seemed to notice too as his smile tightened as he pushed his glasses up. "He's gotten so much better in my class thanks to all of your help but I want to know how he's doing in his other classes." Yukio continued, glancing toward his obviously nervous brother and then toward his tutor, who also looked a little uncomfortable. "I wanted to ask you because I knew that you wouldn't lie to me like he definitely will." He finished and Rin whipped his head back to his brother with an offended expression.

"What's that supposed to mean, four-eyes!?" Rin asked, grabbing a spatula as he tried to look threatening. But he completely failed thanks to the hair clip and frilly apron. Honestly, he kinda just looked like a pissed-off housewife. And [Y/n] had to fight the urge to burst out laughing.

"It's going great." [Y/n] answered, quickly stopping the staredown that the Okumuras had just started. "He struggles a little when it comes to grimoires and magic circles but demon classification and demonology come pretty naturally to him." He added, sending Rin a nod and a thumbs up while the other sent him back a grateful smile while mouthing 'I'm giving you extra for that'. [Y/n] cheered internally.

"That's good to hear. Thanks again for all your help." Yukio thanked with a grateful smile while Rin took a step toward them.

"Yeah, I seriously appreciate it." Rin added, scratching the back of his neck. [Y/n] just nodded with a small smile as he slid off of his stool.

"It's no problem." [Y/n] sighed, stretching out his back as he stood up. "I should head to bed. The guys and I are tutoring Shima again tomorrow." He explained, leaning down to grab his bag and case off of the ground. Both Okumuras looked at him in surprise.

"You tutor Shima too?" Rin asked, genuinely surprised by the announcement. [Y/n] nodded as he slung his bag over his shoulder and held the case in his hand.

"That's what I was doing before I got here." He replied, clicking his tongue as he remembered the worst 20 minutes of that session where Bon almost ended up killing Shima for not understanding the material while Koneko tried to de-escalate the situation before they got kicked out of the study hall and Shima started crying.

"You're tutoring Rin and Shima?" Yukio asked in bewilderment and [Y/n] just nodded again. Yukio stared at him with wide eyes as his mouth hung agape before he quietly spoke up. "How have you not gone insane yet? I thought you'd have your hands full enough with just this idiot." He asked, genuinely amazed by what he had just heard. [Y/n] was quiet for a moment before he burst out laughing while Rin stormed toward his brother.

"Can it, jackass!" Rin snapped, throwing the spatula at his brother. Yukio barely managed to dodge it and, within seconds, the two were bickering again. [Y/n] kept laughing as he headed out the door, listening to the twins argue as he left. As he climbed the stairs to his bedroom, the smell of Rin's incredible cooking lingered in his mind and he couldn't help but hum in content as he excitedly thought about tomorrow's lunch.

~*~

"You bastards!" Rin screamed as he ran through the corridors of the boys' dormitory. [Y/n] and Yukio both looked up from the sink just in time to be kicked in the face by the older Okumura and sent flying back.

"What the hell was that for?!" [Y/n] screamed as he pulled himself off the ground, glaring at the male who attacked him before he had even eaten or gotten dressed yet. He was still in his pyjamas, he was hungry, he was tired, and now his face hurt. Today was already starting terribly.

"Shut up! I don't give a damn how hungry you guys were! In this house, there are things you never do!" Rin snapped back, pointing toward the pair angrily while they just looked on in confusion. Neither of them knew what the hell he was talking about. "Don't play dumb!" Rin shrieked when he didn't receive an answer. "That food I cooked was supposed to be for our lunch! But you guys ate it all! Didn't you?!" He screamed as he showed [Y/n] and Yukio the empty bento boxes that he had in his hands. The pair on the floor remained quiet for a moment, trying to process what Rin was talking about before Yukio began glaring at his older brother.

"C'mon! You know I'd never do something like that!" Yukio argued and Rin sneered before turning to [Y/n], who just glared back in response.

"Don't look at me! I didn't eat it!" [Y/n] snapped, letting out a groan of annoyance as the realisation that the food was gone finally set in. "I was really looking forward to it too..." He added sadly, looking down at the floor beneath him as he mentally accepted the fact that he was having an apple for lunch and nothing more.

"Okay, then why don't you tell me who did?! You said we're the only ones living in this building, remember?!" Rin asked before his and the others' eyes went wide in realisation. A sudden chill ran through the air as their nerves spiked.

"It is just us..." [Y/n] started, nervously looking around the walls of the abandoned building. "Right?" He asked anxiously, turning back to the twins. Rin seemed just as freaked out as [Y/n] but Yukio had a deathly serious look in his eye.

"Maybe not..." Yukio thought aloud, instantly making the other two even more worried. "Whenever it was time to eat, the food was always ready, waiting for us down in the kitchen." He explained and both Rin and [Y/n] paled at the comment. He was right.

"We didn't even think about who was doing the cooking..." Rin started, suddenly heightening his awareness of his surroundings in suspicion.

"So then... Who cooked all those meals?" [Y/n] finished, suddenly realising that he had left Sema in his room and Rin had seemingly done the same with his sword. Of all the times to be unarmed... Just as the atmosphere got even heavier, the sound of a knife against a chopping board rattled through the winter building. All three boys snapped their heads toward the direction of the kitchen in shock.

"They're here." Yukio breathed out, putting his finger to his lips as a signal to be quiet. The other two were hesitant but nodded nevertheless before all of them quietly made their way down to the cafeteria. They moved as quietly as possible, removing their shoes to stop the sound of the soles hitting the tiled floors. As they arrived in the cafeteria, they carefully moved against the wall so they couldn't be seen by whoever was cooking in the kitchen. The tension could be cut with a knife. As they carefully edged their way closer to the kitchen window, they slowly and nervously looked in, desperately trying not to be seen by whoever the mystery intruder was. And when they finally looked up, they saw... the principal?

"Gentlemen, good morning!" Mr Faust greeted excitedly, holding his spatula up in the air. All three boys sweatdropped as their mouths hung agape in shock.

"Mephisto?!" Rin scremaed.

"Mr Faust?" [Y/n] yelled at the same time. After a second, the name Rin called him by caught his attention. "Wait, 'Mephisto'?" He repeated, looking from Rin to Mr Faust and back. the principal just shrugged.

"Call me whatever you please." Mephisto said casually before turning his attention back to the meal he was preparing.

"All this time it was you?!" Yukio exclaimed, looking at his principal in complete and utter bewilderment. "You're the one who's been cooking all our meals for us?!" He asked and Mephisto waved him off with a laugh.

"I've been doing no such thing. I'm just a temporary replacement." Mephisto replied, visibly grimacing at Yukio's little breakthrough. Now the three boys were even more confused.

"Replacement?" [Y/n] asked.

"Temporary." Mephisto corrected, tapping [Y/n] on the nose with his gloved hand while the young man just stared at him in confusion. "The one who's in charge of your meals is Ukobach." He announced, causing two of the boys to look at him in confusion.

"Ukobach?" Rin asked, tilting his head to the side in confusion while [Y/n] did the same.

"I know that name." Yukio suddenly spoke up, gaining his brother's and friend's attention again. "I think he's a stove spirit. He sneaks into the kitchen when humans are sleeping and he makes the food taste better." Yukio explained and [Y/n] slowly nodded along at the information. At least Ukobach didn't sound dangerous.

"Spoken like a true instructor! Good answer!" Mephisto praised, striking a pose while pointing at Yukio. "Up until now, he's been loyally carrying out his duties here as my familiar." Mephisto started, gaining their full attention at the announcement that Ukobach was his familiar. "Yesterday, though, the three of you apparently trespassed on his territory: the kitchen. Now, he's in a foul mood and has boycotted his job." Mephisto explained, looking down at the trio with a displeased look before ushering them toward one of the tables with three bowls of food in his hands.

"I think I understand the gravity of the situation." Yukio replied as he was seated to the left of his brother while [Yn] was seated to the right. "By the way, what is this?" He asked, looking down at the bubbling red sludge that Mephisto had placed in front of them. [Y/n] gagged at the smell. This was their breakfast?! They were being punished. He didn't want to put that rancid thing anywhere near his mouth.

"My speciality; little demon-flavoured oatmeal." Mephisto replied in a sing-song tone, looking down at the nervous students with a sly smirk. "Please, help yourselves." He encouraged but none of them even moved. "Go on, don't be shy." Mephisto tried again, his voice sounding way more dark and ominous this time. It sent shivers down [Y/n]'s spine. Another ten seconds passed until Rin suddenly leaned forward.

"Here it goes!" He screamed, grabbing the bowl and downing the whole thing in one go. His eyes practically shot out of his head and he dropped the bowl as he could up literal steam before falling back into Yukio's arms, seemingly unconscious. Both [Y/n] and Yukio instantly began to panic.

"Rin!"

"Are you okay?!"

"I hear grandma calling me..." Rin announced in a hoarse voice as a delusional smile took over his face, [Y/n] and Yukio paled at his comment.

"Grandma?! We never met our grandma! Whoever she is, don't follow her into the light!" Yukio ordered in a fit of panic while [Y/n] watched from the side, suddenly terrified of whatever the hell was in that bowl.

"A familiar's misconduct is the responsibility of its master." Mephisto spoke up, gaining Yukio and [Y/n]'s attention again. "Until Ukobach's mood improves, I will take charge of this kitchen and prepare all of your meals personally." He announced and both [Y/n] and Yukio paled at the thought. [Y/n] felt his stomach drop to the floor.

"Just putting it out there..." [Y/n] started nervously, learning a hum from Mephsito, encouraging him to continue. "Rin did the cooking. Yukio let him do it. I showed up late but the damage was already done. I had no involvement in this." [Y/n] announced in a panicked tone. The very thought of their sadistic principal making them eat this daily put genuine fear into him. Yukio whipped his head toward [Y/n] as he threw him and his brother under the bus."Ukobach, if you can hear me, I had no direct involvement!" [Y/n] yelled, cupping his hands in an attempt to make his voice louder.

"Traitor!" Yukio shrieked, looking at [Y/n] with genuine hurt and betrayal in his eyes.

"I'm not letting the principal poison me just because you and Rin pissed off his familiar! Every man for himself!" [Y/n] screamed, violently gesturing toward the monstrosity that was on the plate in front of him.

"He cooked for you too!" Yukio snapped.

"I didn't ask him to!" [Y/n] snapped, back.

"Ungrateful bastard!" Yukio screamed with actual tears in his eyes as he clutched his still-unresponsive brother. [Y/n] put his hands up defensively before Yukio growled and his head whipped back toward their principal. "What if his mood doesn't improve?" He asked nervously and Mephisto shrugged innocently.

"I will become your personal cook for the duration of your time here." He answered and both boys turned back to Rin in panic.

"Rin!" Yukio screamed, violently shaking his brother, who still hadn't said anything since the 'grandma' comment.

"You better fix this!" [Y/n] added, looking down at the delirious male with a mix of fear and anger. Rin suddenly began to giggle uncontrollably as he raised his hand in a fist.

"So, this Ukobach guy or whatever, I'm so gonna kick his ass!" Rin announced confidently while his whole world still seemed to be spinning. Both [Y/n] and Yukio instantly began glaring at him as they made their threat very clear. This was not a situation they were going to take lightly.

"Idiot! You will not kick the chef!"

~*~

[Y/n] groaned in annoyance as he finally made it back to his dorms. The damn weather forecast was wrong again and the sky suddenly opened up on his walk home, completely soaking him. The second he was under the shelter of the dorm's roof, he slid off his dripping shoes and socks and his soaked jacket before climbing the stairs toward his room. As he passed the cafeteria on the way, he could hear crashing and cheering from inside. He assumed that Rin was trying to appease Ukobach so he decided to check it out. When he opened the door to the kitchen, he sweatdropped.

"What the hell happened here?!" [Y/n] yelled as he looked around at the mess of a kitchen he was standing in. The floor was covered in food and cooking utensils while Rin was kneeling against the table in the centre, shaking hands with a tiny magenta demon with a tail that resembled a trident. [Y/n] turned to Yukio, who looked exhausted.

"They had a cooking battle..." Was all Yukio said. [Y/n] tilted his head in confusion, which explained literally nothing. Before he could ask for more information, a familiar voice bellowed through the room.

"A new bond has been formed!" Mephisto exclaimed and [Y/n] snapped his head back to see the principal sitting atop one of the supply cupboards with his arms extended. [Y/n] sweatdropped again. He hadn't even noticed the man's presence. "How wondrous!" Mephisto clapped, letting out a proud sigh as he watched the two form a new friendship. [Y/n] sweatdropped again.

"Right..." He replied, letting his eyes gravitate to the little demon that was sitting on the table, surrounded by empty plates. [Y/n] took a step toward him, examining the little creature. "So you're Ukobach?" He asked and the tiny stove demon nodded in confirmation. [Y/n] offered him a small smile as he leaned down to gently rub his head. "Well, it's nice to meet you. Your cooking is delicious, by the way." He praised, earning an excited squeak from Ukobach as he wagged his tail happily.

"He says 'thank you'." Rin spoke up, giving [Y/n] a thumbs up. [Y/n] raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"You can understand him?" He asked and Rin suddenly froze. The navy-haired boy paled and suddenly began sweating. Mephisto tried to hold in a laugh while Yukio sighed in annoyance. [Y/n] was so confused.

"It's a chef thing!" Rin exclaimed frantically as he suddenly woke up from his little panicked trance. [Y/n] just stared at him in bewilderment. "I just know!" He assured, pointing to himself confidently, although the profuse sweating wasn't exactly making the claim believable.

"Okay?" [Y/n] replied with a raised eyebrow, glancing at Yukio and Mephisto in the hopes that they could provide some kind of sensible explanation for why Rin was acting the way that he was. Neither of them were any help. [Y/n] just sighed as he shook his head. "Well, I'm soaked so I'm gonna go get changed." [Y/n] announced, gesturing to himself as water dripped from his clothes. The others all nodded in agreement as he excused himself, already wanting to get away from... whatever that whole situation was. "I have so many questions..." [Y/n] muttered under his breath as he left the kitchen.

~*~

[Y/n] laid peacefully in his bed as he tried to drift off to sleep, thinking about the events that had transpired throughout the day. He thought back to his classes, tutoring Rin, tutoring Shima and the test he knew he aced. But he couldn't stop his mind from always wandering back to his lunch. Because Rin and Ukobach's cooking was incredible. It wasn't like anything [Y/n] had ever eaten. The two minutes that he took to scarf down the whole thing were probably the best two minutes of his life. After school had finished, Shiemi had come over to deliver some supplies from her family's shop for Yukio. She had stayed for tea and biscuits that Ukobach had made as she and the three boys chatted together. She headed home a few hours later and [Y/n], Rin and Yukio all decided to head to bed.

[Y/n] let out a content sigh as he felt himself fully relax, finally letting sleep reclaim him. Until a sudden, ear-piercing scream wailed through the entire dorm.

"What the hell was that?!" He yelled, jumping out of bed and grabbing Sema before bolting out of his room and toward the noise. It came from the kitchen. He could hear Yukio and Rin running behind him as he ran. As he arrived at the cafeteria, he burst through the kitchen doors, Sema in hand, and looked up to see a huge demon, that kind of resembled Ukobach, standing in front of the stove. His eyes went wide as he aimed Sema at the beast. "What the-?!" He was cut off when the twins burst into the room.

"[Y/n]! What's going-" Yukio was cut off when his eyes landed on the beast in front of him. The three boys just stared at it in a mix of shock and confusion before Rin took a nervous step forward.

"Ukobach?" He asked, slowly raising a hand toward the monster. There was no reply. "You are Ukobach, right?" He asked worriedly, this time earning a furious roar from the yellow-eyed monster in front of them. The trio flinched at the loud noise before regaining their composure. "What's going on?!" He asked again, this time sounding annoyed. Ukobach didn't reply. Instead, he took a small step to the side, showing the boys what he was doing. When they saw what he was cooking, they all went deadpan. "Holy... shit..." Rin said monotonely as he looked at the big metal pot full of water, vegetables and three unconscious teenage girls.

"What the actual f-?" [Y/n] added, slowly lowering his gun as he tried to grasp the insanity he had just woken up to.

"Those are my classmates..." Yukio announced quietly, letting out a defeated sigh as he put his head in his hands. "I think I know what caused this but I'm having a hard time processing it." He added, shaking his head in disappointment. Just as he did, Ukobach turned on the stove. [Y/n]'s eyes went wide as the little blue flame lit below the pot.

"He started cooking!" [Y/n] panicked, aiming Sema at Ukobach in case he needed to shoot. He hoped that it wouldn't come to that though.

"This ain't right..." Rin said quietly and both [Y/n] and Yukio snapped their heads toward him with bewildered expressions on their faces.

"You think?!" [Y/n] snapped, gesturing to the obvious problem that they had on their hands.

"If he's making a stew, then he's gotta throw in some ginger and bay leaves to get rid of the meaty smell." Rin explained casually while the other two males shared a look of 'is he serious?' before turning back to him.

"Are you kidding me?!" Yukio whisper-yelled, violently gesturing toward the three girls who were literally about to be cooked alive. [Y/n] just stared at him, beyond dumbfounded by what Rin's priorities were in this situation.

"It's a basic rule of cooking. I can't believe he's forgotten all about it." Rin started, ignoring the protests of his brother and friend while they tried to get him to focus on the real problem they had on their hands. "Okay, do you wanna tell me what the hell you think you're-" He was cut off when Ukobach suddenly turned around and violently slammed him against the cabinet bending them.

"Rin!" Yukio panicked and [Y/n]'s finger instantly went to the trigger as he aimed Sema right at Ukobach's head. Before he could deliver the killing shot, Rin jumped back off the ground and his hand shot in front of the barrel, silently telling [Y/n] to wait.

"Ukobach..." Rin started, taking another step toward the monster, this time much more gently. "Remember what you said... a little while ago?" He asked and Ukobach's movements suddenly halted at what he said. [Y/n] raised an eyebrow in confusion, wondering what he meant. "You said if someone's enjoyed your cooking, told you it was delicious, that was good enough for you." Rin continued, taking another step toward the still-enraged demon in front of him. But Ukobach still didn't attack him. "Well, you're right. Cooking is all about seeing people happy about something you made for them. If someone likes my food, it makes me happy. That's why I like to cook and every time I do it, I wanna make something even better!" Rin explained, putting his hand on his chest as he spoke. [Y/n] was quietly realising that cooking actually seemed to mean a lot to Rin. He wondered why but now was not the time to brainstorm. "Take a look at what you're cooking now! You think anyone's gonna eat that and say it's delicious?!" He screamed, pointing toward the pot on the stove. As he did, it seemed like something resonated within Ukobach and he suddenly let out a yell of despair while turning off the stove and letting his hands drop to his sides.

"Why..." A frail voice suddenly asked and [Y/n] and Yukio's eyes went wide. "Why won't you eat it?" The voice asked, sounding even more hurt than before.

"Ukobach said something!" Yukio yelled as he took a step toward the stove spirit before Rin stopped him in his tracks.

"It's not him." Rin announced, his eyes narrowing in suspicion. [Y/n]'s eyebrows furrowed in confusion before Ukobach stepped aside, revealing the actual source of the voice. It was one of the girls in the pot.

"We worked hard... making those lunches for you..." The black-haired girl mumbled out, still seemingly unconscious.

"We wanted you to eat them... that's all... Yukio..." The brunette added, also not appearing to be alert. [Y/n] assumed that it must have been Ukobach's doing.

"I get it." Yukio breathed out, looking down at the huge stack of neatly prepared lunches that were left on the kitchen counter. "They felt like I brushed them off and that made Ukobach lose control." He added sadly, looking from the lunches to the girls and back. [Y/n] slowly lowered Sema as the threat died down.

"That means..." Rin started, turning to his brother with a serious look before glaring at him and whacking him upside the head with his still-sheathed sword. "It's your fault, ya jackass!" He yelled, growling in annoyance as he finally found the reason for his lack of sleep. [Y/n] slowly turned toward him with the same deathly look in his eyes.

"Uh oh..." Yukio breathed out worriedly, flinching when his brother suddenly shoved one of the bentos that the girls had made in front of his face.

"Here you go! Those girls poured their hearts into making these, so dig in!" He ordered, pushing it toward his brother as he tried to resist. "Go on! It's nice and salty! Just the way you like it!" Rin added, glaring at his brother as he still tried to resist eating it.

"H-Hold on a second!" Yukio panicked before turning to [Y/n]. "Hey, [Y/n]! Back me up here!" He begged but froze when he saw the look that [Y/n] was giving him.

"Just take it like a man and eat the food before Ukobach cooks those girls alive!" [Y/n] growled, a deathly aura surrounding him as he threateningly raised Sema toward the younger twin. Yukio suddenly realised that keeping [Y/n] from his sleep was just as dangerous as keeping Rin from his food.

"B-But-" Yukio tried to resist but was cut off when [Y/n] let out a frustrated groan.

"That's it!" [Y/n] snapped, sliding Sema over his shoulder so it rested against his back before turning to Rin. "I'll pin him down, you shovel it into his mouth!" [Y/n] ordered and Rin instantly nodded, a mischievous smirk appearing on his face.

"Right!" He agreed as they both slowly turned back to their target with an evil glint in their eyes. Yukio instantly paled as he took a step back, preparing to run.

"Hold o-" He was cut off when [Y/n] swept him to the ground and pinned his hands above his head with one hand while the other held his mouth open. He held his torso down by hitting his knee on his chest. Tears formed in the brunette's eyes as he began to struggle, watching his brother walk toward him with the boxes while laughing manically.

"You better thank them after all this!" He ordered and, with that, [Y/n] and Rin spent the rest of the night force-feeding Yukio with Ukobach watching to make sure he ate it all. It was completely and utterly messed up but if it got those three girls out of the pot and got [Y/n] and Rin back to bed then they didn't care.
