[Yena's POV]
So my so called 'bestfriend' comes and give us a house then leaves the next day saying she has something more important.
She gave us enough money to last the whole week. That's why both Yuri and I have no reason to work anymore. Everything is already provided for us. But it still makes me remember that I have the responsibility now.
I went to Yuri's room. This is our first night not sleeping next to each other. I didnt bother knocking and just entered inside. She was still sleeping as I expected. It's been so long since she overslept and she deserves all this rest.
I went closer to her and she was still wrapped around the blanket. She looked so cute, I didnt bother waking her up. I moved to her bed and layed next to her. As soon as she felt me, she wrapped her arms and legs around me. I just let her do it as I closed my eyes to sleep.
I woke up and she was still hugging me. I hugged her back and closed my eyes again.
"Yena unnie ... is it okay to call you that? unnie?" I opened my eyes and looked at her. She was staring at me, waiting for an answer.
"Am I really older than you?" She nodded then gave me a smile. "Then okay ... call me whatever you want"
I continued to hug her, she moved closer to me then hugged me back. Yuri and I just stayed in bed while hugging for the whole day.
"Ummmmm ... am I disturbing something?" Chaewon came in the room while Yuri moved away from me.
"No" then she left the room. Chaewon and I were left inside with a confused look. She sat at the bed while I sat next to her.
"Chaewon ..." she looked at me "... Can I just stay at Yuri's room?" I cant understand the expression on her face nor can I read what's on her mind.
She sighed then smiled. "Sure if that's what you want, anything for you"
"Thanks ... How about we go downstairs? I'll cook for you" I stood up and went to the door. She just followed me down.
Yuri was sitting at the table eating cereal. Chaewon and I seated next to her. We were all quiet and ate our cereal in the middle of the afternoon.
Yuri said she'll go somewhere which leaves me and Chaewon inside the house.
"Hey ... want me to tell you a story?" She suddenly said. I just nodded. "What is it about?"
"A story of a little girl and her best friend" I know why she's telling me this but ... okay.
"There is this little girl and she came from a known family. Her parents were famous doctors and they had a big hospital ..."
"She's really lucky then" She smiled at me.
"... As lucky as she is, she was also lonely. One day when she was eight. Her parents made her go to a party. That's where she met another girl.
This particular girl was really strange. Her family was a hotel owner but she never gained any interest in it. At first the girl didnt want to talk to her because she was strange ..."
"How strange?" Maybe it's a good kind.
"... she drank Yakult backwards. And kept on saying weird stuff. She even wore her dress backwards that day. Her shoes were in different color and she held this blanket in her hand wherever she goes. But when the girl got to know her, she realized that the strange girl was more than she seemed.
After that night they became instant best friends. They saw each other at least four times a week and they would tell each other everything. They'd pr
They grew together and gained lots of new friends. Then one day the strange girl went to her bestfriend and excitedly said that she likes someone.
The girl really liked her bestfriend but it seemed that her friend likes another person. So after a few days she confessed to her friend. She didnt expect anything but her friend accepted her.
They became a secret couple, the girl was sure that her bestfriend likes another person. That's why she was confused on why she accepted her.
She learned that the reason her friend accepted her is because she didnt want to hurt her. The girl realized that which made her ignore her friend for a few days.
After that her friend disappeared" well ... I expected a happy story but no.
"That was a sad story. I'll tell Yuri that story later, I think she'll like it" she giggled and just nodded.
"I'll be leaving tomorrow. I might come back after a week or so. I'll bring our friends when I come back" I just nodded and smiled.
"Chaewon? Do you have any idea where I can get a job?" She was looking through her phone then she looked at me. "You worked at a convenience store before right?" I nodded
"I could ask the owner to give you a full time job ... i'll text you details later" I dont know how she'll do it but I just want to thank her so much for all this.
Yuri came back with bunch of stuff with her. It looks like she went shopping. But she doesn't look pleased, I could even say she looked annoyed.
"Hey ... where'd you go?" She kept on looking annoyed at the blank wall then slowly looked at me then sighed. Is it just me or is 'not working' Yuri turning crazy?
"The market. I bought a few things that you like" she sat down next to me and layed her head on my shoulder. I heard her sigh a few times but I didnt bother asking her.
"Yena unnie ..." I hummed as an answer. "Would you be my girlfriend?" I didnt know what to say. Everything is just so sudden and random. She removed her head from my shoulder then we just sat in silence.
My mind is completely blank. I dont know what to say to her. Do I want to be her ... you know?
I nervously glanced at her then licked my lips. She wasnt saying anything and just sat there. After a few minutes she stood up and got the things that she bought.
"I got you ice cream, you can eat it after dinner later. Speaking of dinner, we can just order. Any ideas?" She suddenly said. I still haven't answered her so ... my mind is still frozen.
All these events are making me confused. I just met a person from my past. Then she's been doing all these overwhelming things for me. Next is that the person that I idolize is now asking me to be her girlfriend. But before that she was acting all annoyed for some reason.
It's not that I dont like her. I might not admit it to her now but I like her. Since the first month that we've been together she's literally my angel. But I cant seem to answer her. I feel like i'm not fit for the position of 'Yuri's Girlfriend'. The only position fit for me is a convenience store staff.
"No ideas? Hmmmmm ... how about kimchi jjigae? If you're not gonna answer i'll just order anything I want" uhhhhhh ... should I even answer? I'll let her do anything anyways.
She just stared at me. I stared back at her and I could feel the awkwardness. Maybe I could do something about this ... I blinked.
"You win. I blinked, I guess were eating your pick tonight" I just gave a weird laugh then pat her shoulder. After that I just ran upstairs to her room and covered myself in blankets.
Yena ... what in the world did you just do!?
I dont know about her but I think you did great
How could you run away like that!?
How could Yuri just ask you to be her girlfriend then talk about food when you didn't answer?
My thoughts are going crazy in my head again. And why did I even run to her room?!
Anyways ... I believe that I have lots of IMPORTANT things to do
List of things to do:
□ Wait for Chaewon's text about a job
□ Wait for Yuri to call me when our order arrives
□ Maybe clean her room
□ Decide whether i'll be her girlfriend tonight or tomorrow
■ Ask Chaewon about my past self (for the last time)
□ Eat my ice cream with Yuri
□ Wait for Juri to call me
□ Video Yuri while sleeping
□ Tell Chaewon's story to Yuri
Knock knock
"Unnie ... let's eat" She said as I removed the blankets around me. I guess i'll check that off the list. She was waiting at the door. I stood up and grabbed her hand then pulled her down.
When we arrived downstairs Chaewon was already preparing the table, Yuri and I helped her.
