Oh, hey, it's Rina.
RINA: "I'm okay, don't worry about it. Rina-chan Board says, 'Do your best!' *Giggle* See ya!"
AKI: "Rina?"
RINA: "Oh, hey."
AKI: "Who were you talking to? It didn't look like anyone in your class."
RINA: "Yeah, it was a girl from a different class. She asked me if she could borrow my dictionary we're using for class because she forgot hers."
AKI: "Oh, you made a friend from another class. I'm so proud of you!"
RINA: "Yeah, thanks. It was all thanks to my board. Before my board, I could barely even talk to my own classmates, let alone someone in another class.
But now people find me and my board interesting so they talk to me. Sometimes I can't express myself well, but I'm having fun every day."
AKI: "You like talking to people, don't you?"
RINA: "Yeah. Your world expands by talking to other people. You get to find out new things, discover new emotions, and all sorts of stuff.
Facial expressions sure are important. With my board, I feel like I get so much closer to other people. It's like a wall between us comes down."
AKI: "I see..."
RINA: "I know it might be strange to think there's no wall between us even though I hide my face, but..."
AKI: "That's not true! Everyone has a different way of feeling things. Besides, even if you hide your face, you can't hide your heart."
RINA: "My heart?"
AKI: "Yeah, like how you feel in the moment. That's what your Rina-chan Board is for. It lets you express your feelings directly to other people's hearts. That's just what I think, though."
RINA: "Straight to people's hearts. Right, I'm actually expressing myself...
I want to tell so many more people how I feel. I want to connect with them, heart to heart. I want our hearts to connect so we can explore new worlds together."
When I first met Rina, I thought she was just quiet and wasn't good with other people.
She's actually very emotive, though, and yearns to connect with people. She wants to connect with the hearts of people, so that means...
RINA: "It's still hard for me to talk to people, though. When I try to talk to a lot of people, like in my class, I get all confused and stumble over my words."
AKI: "...YOU'RE MADE TO BE A SCHOOL IDOL!"
RINA: "Huh?! Where did that come from all of a sudden?"
