Jungkook's POV

The next day Jimin seemed off. It was as if he was avoiding me, more than usual and that in itself suggests something.

I figured it was because of what happened yesterday altough I had no confirmation of it. I could've and probabbly should've asked Jimin about it but after thinking back to yesterday he did say to not mention this again but how can I not? Then again, I'd rather stay on his good side then to go back to square 1. With that in mind I decided to just ask him if he's okay anyway and pray to the Lord that Jimin won't stab mnie a million times with his eye daggers.

I walked up to him right before class and lightly tapped his shoulder. "Hey.. are you okay?" I asked in a most concerned tone I could pull. Jimin looked at me and just sighed as he took out some random book out of his bag and handed it to me. I raised an eyebrow clearly confused to which Jimin replied: "Do yourself a favor and instead of constantly talking, shut up and read a good book." He grumbled as I took a look at the book, seemingly normal like any other book. I doubt I'll even have the time to start reading it.. but I understood that by doing this, Jimin meant that I should not talk to him and yet for the first time it was Jimin who broke the silence between us. Not me. He suddenly turned around since I was following him slightly behind and with an expression telling me that he just remembered something important, he said: "Oh, by the way.. we won't be able to do the project at my house this week and considering we agreed to work on a Sunday.. I'm afraid we'll have to work at your house." The second he said that I felt my stomach drop.

"Uh.. but why?" I questioned more than uncomfortable with the current situation.

"Do I have to explain myself to you?" He questioned back, putting up a fight. Seriously Jimin, this isn't a good subject to pick a fight with me about.

"Well considering that it means we'll have to work at my house than yes, you should." I crossed my arms. Unless he has a godlike excuse then I won't allow him to come over, or rather I won't allow him to come over. It's just against my rules.

Jimin sighed and turned to look at me with a tired expression probabbly due to my presistance. "It's because my aunt decided to start a house renovation that will go on for a while so obviously, working at my house is a no." Not having a counter argument I bit my lip, looking away from the guy. It seemed like this was going to be a rough day for us, but it seemed like Jimin wasn't finished. "What? I thought you'd be overjoyed to have me over at your house, you want to get close so badly. You having second thoughts?" I couldn't help but sigh at that remark. What is it with you today, Jimin? Why are you being so aggressive?

"No, I still want to get to know you but-" I stopped myself before saying too much and sighed to calm myself down. "But I'm just not having a good day today." Jimin looked at me with a raised eyebrow, probabbly noticing the sudden change in how I act.

"Whatever.. I'll text you before Sunday what time I'll be available and you find a place where we can meet up." He said ending this subject while walking off to class leaving me with no input on this whatsoever.

~●~

If the sole fact that Jimin was going to come over to my house today wasn't bad enough, it was also raining.. A great way to start my afternoon, and since I don't own a single umbrella, my only protection was the hood over my head.

It seemed like I got to the meeting place quite early as Jimin was in no sight, checking my phone it turned out that I was just in time. Is Jimin running late, then? Just as I was about to text him and ask about his whereabouts I noticed that the raindrops stopped falling on top of my phone, making me look up only to find an umbrella above my head. "You're drenched, have you ever heared of a umbrella?" I instantly turned on my heel to be met with Jimin just about two meters away from me. "God.. look at you, looking like a runaway kid.." Jimin mumbled bitterly as he scanned me up and down. "Well? Aren't we going to your house? Why are you just standing still?" He questioned getting impatient with me as I felt like the internet explorer browser. Slow.

I shook myself up and came back to reality. "Uh yeah, sorry. I'm just kinda out of it." I apologised putting away my phone in one of my pockets. "This way." I showed Jimin the way in which we were supposed to go and so we made our way to my house.

Every second felt like a minute as the steps I took began feeling extremely heavy, trying to stop me in my tracks. We were nearing the flat complex I lived in and I feared Jimins reaction more and more. The whole flat itself didn't look too bad but it wasn't looking like any ordinary flat. It was an old building, most likely needing a rework in the next few years. Jimin hasn't exchanged a single word with me through this whole walk and I didn't know whether that's a good or a bad thing. We walked into the staircase of the building but we didn't need to go up them as I lived right on the first floor. Jimin closed the umbrella while I fetched the keys out of my pockets. I attempted to open the door but I couldn't turn the key. I felt uneasy about this situation as it could potentially look like I'm trying to break in but this isn't the first time the door lock has jammed itself. I sighed a little distressed as I turned to look at the suspicious face Jimin was wearing. "Sorry, the door is jammed.. I'm just going to go get the building owner to open the door for us." I explained laughing nervously. "Wait here please." I added before quickly heading up the stairs to the building owner who lived on the very top.

Jimin's POV

I furrowed my brows as Jungkook sped up the stairs. To say that this incident looked rather suspicious is one thing but adding on the way he's acting just points to more suspicion. Even though I felt like he wouldn't try and break in to someone's house, especially with someone. I sighed looking down, I wasn't thinking about anything specific but it didn't matter as soon I got nuged by an older lady. I smiled politely when I turned to face her. "Are you looking for someone?" She asked with the best intentions. Once again I smiled at her while explaining: "No Ms, I'm waiting for a friend. We're going to work on our school project today." I explained in the nicenest and most polite way I could. The lady looked at me schoked but I wasn't sure as to why. "Oh my! You're Jungkook's friend? Oh how happy I am to hear that! That boy has never brung anyone home ever since his parents passed away. Poor boy has so much work on his shoulders, I was afraid he'd take his life after his parents left him with all the debt but he showed his strength and is working his way to pay off the debt. Make sure to be supportive to him, he already went through a lot and everyone needs a bit of help every now and then." The lady spoke with such sincerity but I couldn't possibly pick up on it, not after what I heared. He's by himself? Is that what he meant that his parents aren't much company? I felt shock consume me as the way I viewed Jungkook changed comepletly but.. even if he went through all that, doesn't change the fact that his intentions could be rotten.

The lady, after finishing her paragraph, bid her goodbye to me and left the building, away to attend whatever her business is. Altough I aren't a fan of those types of neighbours, I guess you could say she means well.

Not too long after that, Jungkook came down with the building owner. I moved aside to make space for them.

Jungkook's POV

It didn't take me long to notice the sudden shift in his mood, but I didn't want to mention anything and just waited for the owner to repair the door, thankfully it didn't take long and the door was soon opened. I walked in and held the door for Jimin who cautiously walked inside after me. I closed the door and slid off my shoes. "Uhm.. my parents aren't home for the day so we're kinda alone.." I said waiting for Jimin to take off his shoes and coat. He nodded, noting the information I gave him. "Would you.. like some tea?" I suggested but in all honesty I was kind of lost. I forgot the basic manners as a house owner.

"Water will be fine, thanks." He said and I nodded. I was about to leave him in the hallway before I realised he didn't know this house so I stopped myself in my tracks and guided the guy to the living room where we would work on the project.

After getting the both of us drinks I sat down next to Jimin who was going over what we've already done. When I sat down though, Jimin looked at me with a unreadable expression. "Aren't you gonna get changed?" He questioned and only now I realised that I was still wearing the drenched jeans and hoodie from the rain. I immediately got up and excused myself to go and change. God damnit, why am I so all over the place? It's not a big deal he's here, after all I did say my parents aren't home and he didn't even question it. Knowing him he won't even be interested to talk about me so I should just calm myself down. After a minute or two of calming myself down, I finally changed to dry, warm clothes and walked back to the living room where Jimin was and sat down.

"So where are we?" I asked and Jimin was kind enough to explain everything to me and soon we began working.. but... I couldn't help but notice the curious eyes of a short dark haired guy who was sitting right next to me. "Is there something bothering you?" I asked turning to look at him, putting up a confident act, but actually I caught Jimin off guard as his eyes widened.

"Uh.." He froze, turning away from me. "Well, I just kind of dozed off, not while looking at you of course, that's just a coincidence." He explained but I was more focused at looking at the faint blush that has made its way across Jimins cheeks. I couldn't help but smile.

"Adorable." I mumbled to myself making Jimin once again look towards me, this time, we locked eyes. I didn't mind, I wierdly felt at ease and just smiled kindly. Jimin scoffed and turned away to focus back on the project but I must admit, those few seconds of our eyes meeting each other, felt like minutes, and.. I liked that. Yet I wasn't so sure about Jimin on the other hand.

~●~

I stretched my numb limbs due to staying in the same position for hours now. I turned to look at the clock at the wall and actually felt the need to scream in fear. "Holy shit.. it's half past ten." I said which alerted Jimin. He looked at his phone and mumbled something under his nose as he started to pack his things.

"The last bus is in fifteen minutes, I'll miss it if I don't go now." He spoke quickly as he swiftly gathered his things but I furrowed my brows.

"Wait, but the nearest bus stop is a few streets away, even if you leave now you won't make it." I pointed out to which Jimin only sent me a death glare.

"Then I'll walk." He mumbled to which I reacted quickly.

"Are you kidding? It's dark and late, god knows what might happen to you." I explained. This neighborhood isn't the friendliest, even in this building I know for a fact there are some druggies living here.

"What am I? A kid? I'll be fine." He grumbled sighing while putting on his bag and heading for the hallway to which I followed him and stopped him by grabbing a hold of his wrist.

"Maybe you're not a kid but you're in a trashy, run down neighborhood that is filled with alcoholics and druggies." I pointed out sternly. "It's not safe out there." Jimin sighed turning towards me as he dropped his shoulders.

"Then what do you want me to do? I need to get home somehow."

"You can stay here for the night.."
