I had woke up and like the past two weeks I decided to go visit the children. Over te two weeks it had been me worrying and Grace trying to calm me down even though I knew deep down she was just as scared and pessimistic as I was.
I jumped in the shower ready to start my day and as the hot water ran over me I let my thoughts flood through me.
Aside from all the awfulness that has happened atleast I have had friends to cheer me up. Not that they know they are cheering me up. I have had yet to tell Ellie and the others because I wanted to be completely sure. Devon.....well he was a different story.
He had been nonstop taking me out on dates and we have had a blast no matter where we were. He is really sweet and caring and boy does he kiss really good. This is why I am scared. Every day we spend I start liking him more and more, but what happens when he leaves. What if he finds out I am way past the line of imperfect and on the edge of death and leaves me heart shattered and tear stained.
Its kind of funny the things we fear in life. I am facing a possible death situation and the one thing on my mind is a boy. I am not sure if it is because I am completely girly like that or just mere fact that I will pinn all my focus on something else as long as it isnt the one thing I dont want to admit to. But than again who wants to admit that their world could be crumbling around them.
I heard my phone buzz in the distance snapping me out of my thoughts.Just realizing that I had already finished washing my hair and body practically robotically without knowing I knew I had to get out before I got pruny.....not that I would have minded seeing as hot showers and baths are the only things that make me feel better these days.
I snatched it up my phone quickly thinking it was from Devon about another date.

I looked at the name realizing it was Hayden and smiled. Over the last two weeks we had become quite close. Although he is arrogant and rude he cracks me up and is actually a good guy.

I said as I went on the hunt for my clothes and shoes. After five minutes of getting dressed there was no reply. I ran down the stairs and did a little jumpy majig trying to get my shoes on as I grabbed my keys and opened the door. Misjudging my shoe majigging abilities I began to topple forward. I closed my eyes waiting for impact but never felt it. Instead I felt warm arms around my waste and heard a low chuckle from above me.
After hearing the chuckle I knew exactly who it was and immediatley blushed realizing I just fell and that his arms were rapped around me. I peeped one eye open seeing a laughing Hayden above me.
I quickley got out of his grasp red as a fire truck.
"Oh is my little Payton blushing "
"shut up" I said looking down than realizing that he was here and I didnt know why I looked back up.
"what are you doing here, I texted you and said I couldnt have lunch?" I said looking at him questioningly
" Well I thought that we could grab something fast on the way to the hospital and that you couldnt tell me not to go if I showed up on your doorstep, and plus my plan worked better than I thought seeing as I savaed your life and you cant say no to your knight in shining armour." He said winking
I blushed redder than I had before , he came this whole way for me how nice.
" Well seeing as you are my hero I must say I am so hungry I am practically starving save me , and buy me some lunch" I said mockingly as I fanned myself with one hand and stared up at him like a puppy on the side of the road. Well lets just say I take weird to the next level but so be it its fun.
He snorted. " Well than right this way madam get on my noble steed" he said gesturing to his motorcycle and than getting on.
I smiled. I loved his motorcycle I immediatly ditched the thought of driving my car and hopped on behind him.
He grabbed my arms and rapped them around him. " Hold tight miss I would not want you falling , you seem to have a knack for it.
" Ha ha so funny" I said in a dry tone but we both knew I was smiling.
"Go forth my noble steed go forth" He shouted as he started and drove off and I coudlnt stop laughing. How childish were we.
I watched as the city zoomed by.......It was gorgeous no matter how many times I rode and watched the sky I could never get used to it or take my eyes off of it. I loved how seeing the world like this made me forget that I had seen this scene millions of times seeing as I passed by it almost everyday. Each time it was like a new discovery.
I guess I had been so caught up in the scenery that I hadnt realized we had already reached Mcdonalds.

We walked in to the hospital me still carrying the miny plastic ferby I had gotten in my happy meal. I practically skipped down the hall ready to see my little friends. Hayden walked behind me with and odd smile on his face.
"what?" I asked hoping I didnt have ketchup or anything on my face
He cleared his throat a little bit." Nothing"
I eyed him curiously knowing it was something but decided to let ig go because it didnt seem like he was willing to share it any time soon. "surrrre" I said and than felt my phone buzz I looked down seeing it was from Devon I smiled a little.
"Lunch??" Devon
"Sorry cant Im at hospital visiting kids" Payton
"Alright beautiful next time then" Devon
"Definatly :)" Payton
I blushed again and looked up at Hayden to see his mood had changed quite a bit I was about to ask why when I saw Janice out of the corner of my eye she rushed over.
I really hoped she wouldnt let anything out about my secret I wasnt ready to let anyone know yet.
"Hey Payton I nedd to talk to you about........" She saw the look I gave her warning her to stop and she looked at Hayden and realized what I meant. " some girl problems that I need your advice on?." She finshed off and if someone was paying really close attention you could hear a slight questioning in her tone.
I looked at Hayden and he nodded not seeming to notice anything. I followed Janice over to the front desk.
" I was getting ready to call you but than I remebered that you were coming here" She said\
"about what?" I asked kind of scared something had happened to one of the children
" Your results will be here tomorrow" I let out a shaky breath atleast the children were okay.
" Well I have school tomorrow since its Monday but I will be here after school" I told her trying not to let the sad tone seek through my voice but I knew she heard it.
She put a hand on my shoulder and smiled a weak smile and I gave her on back.I pointed with my thumb behinf me " Well I guess I should be getting back to the umm kids"
She gave me a hug and we said our farewells and I turned around to walk back. I woke up and my day started out pretty well and than something like that happens and I am back to sad droopy Payton.
So caught up in my own thoughts I walked into something hard. And felt two hands come out and steady me.
" Woah there Pay I wouldnt want my herione falling down again now would I it would look bad on my record if I failed my job as your knight." Hayden said with a smirk.
I blushed really hard and he gave me a huge smile. Odd how something so simple can bring me back to simple Payton. Not sad droopy Payton. Not scared of death Payton. Not worries about everything Payton. Just simple I am here and I am now Payton.

I looked over and saw Payton talking to that young nurse. I was really curious as to what they were saying and I am almost certain it wasnt "girl problems".
I saw her face drop and then each give a weak smile. Payton began walking back over but I could tell she wasnt paying attention. I thought about stopping her but before I could say anything she ran into me chest. I smiled...what a dork.
" Woah there Pay I wouldnt want my herione falling down again now would I it would look bad on my record if I failed my job as your knight." I said with a smirk.Her cheeks lit up like a chirstmas tree. And she looked up at me and I saw a little bit of that gleam in her eye and realizing I had put it there I couldnt help but beam at her.
" Well shall we go check on our kingdoms children" I said still teasing her from earlier and making a loop with my arm.
She looped her arm through mine with a goofy smile. " We shall "
We walked down a few halls finally coming up at a door. The walk here was a little confusing. " You must visit a lot seeing as we have not got lost in this maze of a hospital." I said.
Her face faultered for barerly a second befor it became a bright grin. " I really do love these children they are my family" She said and I could tell from her smile and the tone in her voice that there was no doubt it was true.
The door swung open and a little girl with a huge smile and a blonde bob jumped on Payton like a football player. She just barely caught her and started laughing as she carried her all the way in the room.
We stepped into the room and I looked around to see all the toys scattered across the ground and around 8 children joyfully playing. As soon as they heard the girls laughs they looked up and screamed "Payton"
All of them stopped what they were doing and immediatly came our way to give Payton a group hug. I saw one little boy with red hair in a wheelchair patiently waiting his turn. He had a sad look on his face as he watched all of them practically tackling her.
He looked up and saw me and gave me a confused look.He wheeled over and stuck out his hand. "The names Jarold " I shook his hand " Hayden"
He was looking me up and down as if trying to find a secret.
He gave me a nod. " NIce to meet you." Then he wheeled away back to Payton to finally get his hug. I smiled a little...that was odd.
All the kids had calmed down and I saw as the little blonde girl from earlier came over. She looked me up and down like the boy had done earlier except after she let off a big grin.
She quickly went to a stern look as if she was trying to be intimidating. " The names Aroura...Princess Aroura. And you are?"
I tried to hold back my laugh. " The names Hayden......KIng Hayden and I am assuming this is your kingdom?" I said teasing her.
She smiled like the cheshire cat. " Tis...now let me introduce you to the residents" I was actually surprised with how big her vocabulary had been. When I was around her age I was using words like pizza and games.
She pointed to a kid with brown curly hair." This is Prince Henry" He gave a small wave.
Next was the kid from earlier " This is Prince Gerald." He nodded his head at me.
She went on from their introducing everyone who I remembered as Sarah Janine Raven Annabelle and Richie.
She then stopped and blushed as she looked at a little boy about her age with dark skin and a mess of dark hair on his head.
"This is Prince Danny" He smiled and gave Aroura a shy look.
She than looked back to me and said "And this is KIng Hayden" I let out a small chuckle.
I felt a nudge in my side and looked over at Payton. She laughed a little and than looked back at the kids.
" So whats on the agenda today" She said and they all stopped and went into deep thought.
"Lets play truth or dare" Danny said and than everyones face lit up but no one moved.
" You heard the man circle up people" Aroura said and the kids giggled and got into a circle dragging us with.
I looked over at Payton who was beat red probably rembereing how the last one turned out and I couldnt help but smirk and then frown a little remembering the awful turn of events. Hey its was with tiny people how bad could this turn out.
We played a few rounds which mostly involved doing silly dances and trying to do tricks. Throughout the game Danny and I had become pretty much teammates seeing as the boys and girls seemed to be ganging up on us Throughout the game I had noticed how lively these children were and it brought a sad smile to my face.
It was Janine turn and she poitined at me. " I dare you to propose to Aroura" Normally I wouldnt have a problem with fake proposing but than I saw Dannys face and lets just say it wasnt a happy one.
I was getting ready to refuse when she spoke up again." And if you dont than you have to kiss Payton........on the lips and become king and queen of the kingdom" I smirked a little but I knew that wasnt going to fly with Payton but I also knew from the small amount of time being here with her that she would do just about anything to make them happy.
" Just propose man its okay" Danny whispered from beside me.
I gave him an are you sure look and he gave me a reasuuring smile.
I stood up looked at Danny one more time and gave Payton a look she looked like she was a bout to pee her pants I shot her a smirk and she glared at me.
I took Aroura by the hand and knelt down " Aroura would you please please please be the queen to my kingdom" She smiled and than looked around
" Does anybody object to this." Well thats certainly not what I was expecting. Her face fell a little. " Nobody has a problem with it" She said again waiting for an answer. Well what a way to drop my self esteem. I looked back at Payton and she was trying to hold back a laugh. She shot me a smirk of her own.
Aroura than looked right at Danny and I knew what was going on. She was trying to get him to jump in. " Well if nobody has any problem with it all..." She waited a second and Danny looked away red faced.
"Then yes I would love to be your queen" She said and kissed me on the cheek. Everyone around us clapped and I looked over at Danny he looked a little bit sad and its amazing how much of a douche I felt for right than. I practically just got engaged to my best mans girl. What a d!ck move.
Aroura ran over to Payton to tell her about something and I walked back over to Danny. How coulod I fix this.I thought hard as I sat down beside Danny. Out of nowhwere I got an idea.
I looked over at Danny " I have got a plan"
He looked up at me hopefully " A plan for what"
" A plan to get you the girl of coarse" I said and he beemed. If only I could easily come up with a plan on the subject for my own situations. I thought as I glanced up at Payton and saw her playing with the children. I shook my head. I did not just think that. What the Fuc
I looked back at Danny trying not to get distracted by Payton and my thoughts. " Im in" He said.
" You havnt even heard the plan yet" I said and he smiled at me.
He looked over at Aroura. " Im in love...... so I dont care what the plan is I am in." Well thats deep for a little kid. I nodded and told him my plan.
