Y/N's POV

After the first meeting of Dumbledore's Army, the topic remained silent for a while. The next few meetings went very smoothly, I was helping Harry with basic duelling spells. Very often, I was asked to demonstrate my non-verbal magic. It was a skill that sixth years would be taught and since I was only in my fifth year, I was ahead. Although people wanted me to teach them, I insisted that I would let them learn it in their sixth year.

A good thing happening during these meetings was the fact that I was starting to be accepted as a Slytherin. Many of the people who came to these meetings slowly became my friends and weren't afraid to greet me in the hallways, much to Draco's disapproval. It was quickly proved that I was nothing like the typical Malfoy and I was very glad. I still had no idea why many people feared and disliked my family, from what I saw, they were nothing but loving and caring.

One morning, I saw Hermione coming up to me. She then started telling me her genius idea of communication. She devised a very clever method of communicating the time and date of the next meeting to all the members in case we needed to change it at short notice, because it would look suspicious if people from different Houses were seen crossing the Great Hall to talk to each other too often. Especially if they came over to the Slytherin table or if I went to another House's table.

She gave each of the members of the DA a fake Galleon at the next meeting, later during the day. "You see the numerals around the edge of the coins? On real Galleons that's just a serial number referring to the goblin who cast the coin. On these fake coins, though, the numbers will change to reflect the time and date of the next meeting. The coins will grow hot when the date changes, so if you're carrying them in a pocket you'll be able to feel them. We take one each, and when Harry sets the date of the next meeting he'll change the numbers on his coin, and because I've put a Protean Charm on them, they'll all change to mimic his."

A blank silence greeted Hermione's words. She looked around at all the faces upturned to her, rather disconcerted.

"Well, I thought it was a good idea," she said uncertainly, "I mean, even if Umbridge asked us to turn out our pockets, there's nothing fishy about carrying a Galleon, is there? But...well, if you don't want to use them-"

"You can do a Protean Charm?" asked Terry Boot.

"Yes," replied Hermione.

"But that's...that's N.E.W.T standard," he said weakly.

"Oh...well...yes, I suppose it is." Hermione said shyly.

"How come you're not in Ravenclaw?" he demanded, staring at Hermione with something close to wonder. "With brains like yours?"

For some reason, the admiration that Hermione was getting from Terry was making me jealous, I felt the sudden urge to go over and hex the boy.

"Well, the Sorting Hat did seriously consider putting me in Ravenclaw during my Sorting," said Hermione brightly, "but it decided on Gryffindor in the end. So, does that mean we're using the Galleons?"

Everyone nodded and agreed in unison, and the meeting continued, ending promptly so that no one would get caught or in trouble.

I returned to the Common Room late that night, I gave Draco my usual excuse of either the library or just walking around to clear my head. He then reminded me of the first Quidditch match of the season, Gryffindor versus Slytherin. I had heard from Hermione that Harry had replaced Y/N as a seeker so it would be interesting to go up against him. I had no doubt, that like the duel we had previously, I would beat him easily.

The Slytherin team insisted on using their intimidation tactics against the Gryffindor team. Their main target was Ron Weasley. The boy showed nothing but dislike for me so I had no problem scaring him here and there, I just made sure that neither Hermione or Harry could see.

"Do you want to help us write a song about Weasley?" asked Draco, sitting in a green armchair in the Common Room.

"So far we've got: Weasley cannot save a thing, he cannot block a single ring." Blaise said.

I felt a pang of guilt at the thought that we were going to write a chant about Weasley, but the bitterness and prejudice I got from the boy made me contribute with a few lines.

"How about, that's why all the Slytherin's sing...Weasley is our king." I said, triumphantly smiling when I came up with the last line.

"That's great F/N!" Draco said happily. "What else? What about his fat mother?"

"No Draco," I interjected, I wouldn't let it go too far, "just put something like he always lets the Quaffle in."

Draco nodded and wrote the line down, in the end I stopped contributing after Blaise suggested the line, Weasley was born in a bin. I didn't want to be part of that, so I excused myself to the dormitory, hoping for a decent night's sleep so I would be prepared for my Quidditch debut tomorrow.

The next morning came quickly and before I knew it, I was in the changing room, dressing myself in Slytherin's green Quidditch robes.

"Alright, we go full out aggression, there's a surprise in store for the Gryffindors so as long as we work as a team, we've got this." Montague said, looking at all his teammates. I gave Draco a good luck smile before we entered the pitch, the deafening roars of the crowd greeting my ears. The match quickly began and I raced off, in search of the Snitch.

Not long after the match began, the Slytherins began their chants.

"Weasley is our King,
Weasley is our King,
He always lets the Quaffle in
Weasley is our King."

I looked around to see Ron, standing in front of the three rings, looking quite embarrassed. The chanting only got louder and I could see it starting to affect the whole team, not long after, we were twenty-zero up.

"Weasley cannot save a thing,
He cannot block a single ring,
That's why Slytherins all sing:
Weasley is our King.
Weasley was born in a bin
He always lets the Quaffle in
Weasley will make sure we win
Weasley is our King."

When we were awarded a penalty, the Slytherins were now shouting, chanting 'Weasley is our King' at full volume, naturally, Ron was distracted and didn't save his shot.

I had no idea where the Snitch was and kept looking, I drowned out the chants and had no care for the score, I knew that if we caught the Snitch, it would all be over. Once or twice I looked over at Draco who had taken a break from his chaser responsibilities just to chant it near Ron, I sighed at his immaturity and continued my search for the Golden Snitch.

Around half an hour later, I caught a glimpse of something fluttering below me, seeing what it was I dived down, Harry tailing behind me. We were tied and both our hands were reached out, if I didn't do something he would get it. So ignoring the fact that we were starting to become friends, I barged into him with all my weight, sending him to the side, losing his balance. He tried to catch up but it was too late, my hand was wrapped around the Snitch.

"F/N Malfoy catches the Snitch! It's all over, Slytherin win!" I heard someone say in quite a dejected voice.

I landed my broom but instead of making my way to my celebrating team, I went over to Harry. "You alright?" I asked.

He grimaced and nodded at the same time. "Yeah, well played. You're definitely a better seeker than me."

I shrugged. "You were close to getting it," I then grinned at him, "but I was closer."

He smiled before Draco and the rest of the Gryffindor team came over.

"Liked our lyrics Potter?" Draco sneered. "Wanted to include the words fat and useless, for his parents you know."

That was enough for Ron and George Weasley, they leapt forward to attack Draco only to be pulled back by members of their team. A fight followed and I had to pull the members back.

"You're pathetic, you know that right F/N!" I heard Ron shout. "You act all nice and friendly but we all know, deep down, you're just as bad as Draco!"

Glaring at the Weasley, I kept my mouth quiet. McGonagall was on her way over, as well as Umbridge. I would just stay out of this and let them get what they deserved.

I walked away as McGonagall took members of the Gryffindor Quidditch team away, Draco smirking triumphantly as we left the scene, no punishment given.

As we left, Draco started humming the tune of 'Weasley is our King' and I couldn't help it as I found myself humming along.
