Y/N's POV

I had emerged from the shadows, glancing at the three others.

"W-what do you mean you're his secret weapon?" Ron said fearfully.

I looked at Ron, my expression still solemn. "Voldemort wants me on his side, because I cannot be killed by him."

"Are you and Draco his weapon?" Harry asked.

I shook my head. "No, just me."

I wanted to tell them that I was his grandson, but that was a dead giveaway that I was Y/N. Surely they would figure out soon? I glanced over at Hermione who looked at me, curiosity, confusion and hurt in her eyes.

"We don't have time to be talking about F/N!" Harry exclaimed. "We need to go save Sirius!"

"Fine, go at your own loss. But I'm a hundred percent sure you won't find him there." I scoffed.

"Shut up F/N! You're wrong, he's got Sirius and he's going to kill him." Harry said angrily.

I sighed, how did I know that it was all a trick? It was because me and Voldemort's minds were connected and he didn't block me out from his thoughts, meaning I could feel and tell that he was tricking Harry to go to the Department of Mysteries. I made sure I closed my mind off so Voldemort could never enter my mind and see my thoughts because then my whole double agent plan would fail.

Now, Harry was formulating a plan to get to Grimmauld Place. The plan involved breaking into Umbridge's office and as much as I wanted to help, I had a feeling that Umbridge would be needing the Inquisitorial Squad once she discovered that Harry was in her office. I knew that Umbridge had upped the security in her office due to all the students breaking into her office and leaving joke items there and I wanted to tell Harry, but the other boy didn't seem to want to listen to me.

Slipping away to find Draco, what I predicted was correct. The Squad rounded up on the Gryffindors and the Ravenclaw that offered their help to Harry before dragging them inside Umbridge's office.

"I want to know why you are in my office," said Umbridge.

"I was trying to get my Firebolt!" Harry croaked.

"Liar, your Firebolt is under strict guard in the dungeons, as you very well know, Potter. You had your head in my fire. With whom have you been communicating?"

I watched and listened, I was holding Ginny Weasley who looked disgusted at me. I gave the youngest Weasley a reassuring look before loosening my grip around her.

Harry refused to tell Umbridge anything so the Headmistress summoned the Potions Master, Snape. I could tell that this seemed to trigger something in Harry's mind, he wanted to get in contact with someone from the Order, and Snape was his last hope.

"You wanted to see me, Headmistress?" said Snape.

"Ah, Professor Snape," said Umbridge, smiling widely, "yes, I would like another bottle of Veritaserum, as quick as you can, please."

"You took my last bottle to interrogate Miss Edgecombe," he said, surveying her, "surely you did not use it all? I told you that three drops would be sufficient."

Umbridge flushed. "You can make some more, can't you?"

"Certainly," said Snape, his lip curling, "it takes a full moon-cycle to mature, so I should have it ready for you in around a month."

"A month?" squawked Umbridge. "A month! But I need it this evening, Snape! I have just found Potter using my fire to communicate with a person or persons unknown!"

"Really?" said Snape, showing his first, faint sign of interest as he looked round at Harry. "Well, it doesn't surprise me. Potter has never shown much inclination to follow school rules."

His cold, dark eyes were looking into Harry's, who met his gaze.

"I wish to interrogate him!" repeated Umbridge angrily. "I wish you to provide me with a Potion that will force him to tell me the truth!"

"I have already told you," said Snape smoothly, "that I have no further stocks of Veritaserum. Unless you wish to poison Potter, and I assure you I would have the greatest sympathy with you if you did, I cannot help you. The only trouble is that most venoms act too fast to give the victim much lime for truth-telling."

"You are on probation!" shrieked Professor Umbridge. "You are being deliberately unhelpful! I expected better, Lucius Malfoy always speaks most highly of you! Now get out of my office!"

Snape gave her an ironic bow and turned to leave.

"He's got Padfoot!" Harry shouted. "He's got Padfoot at the place where it's hidden!"

"What is Padfoot? Where what is hidden? What does he mean, Snape?" cried Umbridge.

"I have no idea," said Snape coldly, "Potter, when I want nonsense shouted at me I shall give you a Babbling Beverage."

With that, he closed the door behind him with a snap.

In the end, Umbridge had decided to use the Cruciatus curse on Harry, which was the breaking point for Hermione. She exclaimed loudly that there was a secret weapon and that she would show her. Umbridge looked ecstatic at that prospect and without delay, she, Hermione and Harry left. Leaving just the Inquisitorial Squad and the accomplices in Harry's mission in her office.

"Isn't this lovely, we've got all of you here. It won't be long until Umbridge expels you all." Draco said gleefully. I glanced around at the others, there was Ginny, Neville, Luna and Ron. I was holding Ginny, Draco was holding Ron and Crabbe and Goyle held Luna and Neville.

"Serves you right, running around with the likes of Potter." Draco continued.

"Eat dung Malfoy!" Ron said angrily.

"Shut up Weasley, when will you learn manners?" Draco said coldly. "What do you reckon your mummy will say about your expulsion?"

I heard Neville squirm in Goyle's grip, Goyle was holding onto the boy quite tightly. I had to do something. I needed to help them. Thinking quickly, I produced a flash that stunned everyone and cursed Crabbe and Goyle, I didn't want to hex Malfoy, however I didn't need to. Ginny had grabbed her wand back and performed a fantastic Bag-Bogey hex on him. the four of them then rounded and pointed their wands at me.

"I want to help," I said calmly, "let me come and help you."

I knew Ron didn't trust me after my dramatic reveal as 'Voldemort's secret weapon' but nevertheless, he grudgingly let me come with them. Before leaving I altered the rest of the Inquisitorial Squad's memory so that they wouldn't be suspicious of me, this wasn't the first time I had to alter someone's memory, I had become quite good at the Obliviate spell. We made our way to where Harry and Hermione were.

"So, you've got any ideas?" asked Ron.

"How did you get away?" asked Harry in amazement.

"You can thank me for that." I said dryly, still believing that Harry was going right into a trap.

"What've you done with Umbridge?" asked Ron.

Harry and Hermione explained that Umbridge got carried away by a herd of Centaurs and they were saved by Hagrid's giant brother.

The group had all decided to travel via Thestral to the Ministry of Magic. I was unsure of whether I wanted to come, but in the end I found myself going with the rest of them. We arrived, entered through the visitors' entrance and everyone followed Harry as he recalled where the room he saw so often in his dreams were. We reached a black door, Harry turned to face the door and walked forwards, it swung open and we all entered.

We were standing in a large, circular room. Everything in here was black including the floor and ceiling; identical, unmarked, handleless black doors were set at intervals all around the black walls, we didn't know which room to enter so we tried every door, each door greeting us with something different. Each time it didn't seem to be what Harry was looking for and we returned to the circular room.

With increasing desperation, Harry pushed the next door open. "This is it!"

I could hear Harry's heart pumping frantically now that he knew we were on the right track, he led the way down the narrow space between the lines of desks.

"This is it," Harry said again, "it's through here-"

He glanced around at us all; we had our wands out and we looked suddenly serious and anxious. Harry looked back at the door and pushed. It swung open.

We were there, it was high as a church and full of nothing but towering shelves covered in small, dusty glass orbs and they glimmered dully in the light. I noted that the room was very cold.

Harry edged forward and peered down one of the shadowy aisles between two rows of shelves. We couldn't hear anything or see the slightest sign of movement.

"You said it was row ninety-seven," whispered Hermione.

"Yeah."

"We need to go right, I think," whispered Hermione, squinting to the next row, "yes...that's fifty-four..."

"Keep your wands ready," I said softly.

We crept forward and passed row eighty-four...eighty-five...I was listening hard for the slightest sound of movement.

"Ninety-seven!" whispered Hermione.

We stood grouped around the end of the row, gazing down the alley beside it. There was nobody there.

"He's right down at the end," said Harry, "you can't see properly from here."

He led us forward and I knew we were seconds from coming to the conclusion that Sirius wasn't here, that it was really a vision implanted by Voldemort, and that Harry had lead us right into a trap.

"I...I don't think Sirius is here." Hermione whispered timidly.

Nobody spoke.

"Harry?" Ron called.

"What?"

"Have you seen this?" said Ron.

"What?" said Harry eagerly. He strode back to where we were all standing, a little way down row ninety-seven, but found nothing except Ron staring at one of the dusty glass spheres on the shelf.

"What?" Harry repeated glumly.

"It's-it's got your name on," said Ron.

Harry moved a little closer. Ron was pointing at one of the small glass spheres that glowed with a dull inner light, though it was very dusty and appeared not to have been touched for many years.

"My name?" said Harry blankly.

He stepped forwards. Since he wasn't as tall as Ron, he had to crane his neck to read the yellowish label affixed to the shelf right beneath the dusty glass ball. In spidery writing was written a date of some sixteen years previously, and below that:

S.P.T. to A.P.W.B.D.
Dark Lord
and Harry Potter

Harry stared at it.

"What is it?" Ron asked, sounding unnerved. "What's your name doing down here?"

I glanced, looking at the other spheres on the shelf. My eyes noticed another label. "Y/N's name is here." I said.

Hermione made a weird noise and everyone inspected it. It was pretty much the same as Harry's, except that the names were different. Why did I have one of these? Harry made his way over back to his sphere and reached out.

"Harry, I don't think you should touch it," said Hermione sharply.

"Why not? It's something to do with me, isn't it?"

"Don't, Harry," said Neville suddenly.

"It's got my name on," said Harry.

And feeling slightly reckless, Harry closed his fingers around the dusty ball's surface. Since he had taken his sphere, I reached out and grabbed mine.

"You can't take it!" exclaimed Ron. "That's for Y/N!"

If only you knew Ron...

My hand wrapped around the ball. I was expecting, maybe even hoping, that something dramatic was going to happen, something exciting that would make our long and dangerous journey worthwhile after all.

Me and Harry examined both the spheres, everyone else behind us.

And then, from right behind us, a drawling voice spoke.

"Very good, Potter. Now turn around, nice and slowly, and give that to me."
