AKI: "Yeah, yesterday was so fun! You should have seen the amount of people that showed up."
AYUMU: "Ai really is popular, huh."
AI: "Heeey!"
AKI: "Oh, speak of the devil."
AYUMU: "Ai, we're about to get a start on morning practice. You should come with us."
AI: "I have a message from Setsu about that."
AYUMU: "From Setsuna?"
AI: "She has a lot of student council work to do, so she has to skip practice today."
AKI: "For real...?"
AYUMU: "Wait, really? I didn't know student council was so hectic. I hope she's okay. Do you think we can help her?"
AKI: "She was busy yesterday, too... I'll go check on her. If there's anything we can help with, I'll come back and get you guys."
AI: "Are you sure? Thanks Prez. Oh, Setsu probably wants to practice considering the School Idol Festival's coming up. I'll do whatever I can to help!"
AKI: "I'll let you know if you can, so go on ahead to practice!"
...
*Sigh* Busy again? Something's not right here.
AKI: "Excuse me?"
NANA: "Huh? What are you doing here pro- *ahem* Suzuki-kun? I thought I asked Ai to tell you I was skipping practice today."
AKI: "Yeah, she told me that. I just wanted to know if there was anything I could help you with.
Hmm...it's pretty empty in here, so there's no need for honorifics. Where's everyone else from student council?"
NANA: "Everyone else is working in different places."
AKI: "Right. Um, so what kind of work are you doing right now?
That's a huge pile of papers. Can I help with something? Ai and Ayu said if there's anything they can help with to call them too."
NANA: "D-Don't be ridiculous! I'm fine on my own! You should be at the club observing everyone."
AKI: "Are you sure...?"
NANA: "I finished sorting the papers, so now I just have to staple them, organize them in folders, and bring them to the faculty room..."
AKI: "B-But that's a ton of work! At least let me help. If you finish early, you can still make morning practice, right?"
NANA: "Th-Thank you. Sorry for the trouble. I can't believe I'm making you help with something so personal."
AKI: "It's totally fine. Don't worry about it. Can I ask you something though?
If you like being a school idol so much...why join the student council?"
NANA: "..."
AKI: "Being in the student council takes time away from your time as a school idol, right? I kept thinking it's so bizarre.
I mean, you love school idols so much. Why spend half of your time on student council?"
NANA: "School idols are more important to me than anything else.
You might find it strange, but I can only stay part of the school idol club because I'm a student council member."
AKI: "Really?"
NANA: "My parents are very strict, so it's not often they allow me to do extracurricular activities. Doing student council work allows me to stay late or be our frequently on weekends without looking suspicious."
AKI: "Your parents are strict?"
NANA: "Yes. However, they only say what they say for the sake of my future."
AKI: "Not to come across as condescending. But welcome to the club..."
NANA: "Huh? What do you mean?"
AKI: "You should know from my record."
NANA: "Oh... Being the son of a Japanese-American Ambassador really places pressure on you, huh?"
AKI: "It does. My father wants me to focus on becoming a politician, the music stuff is extra credit to get there. He would lose his mind if he discovered my position on school idols? The name Suzuki is known throughout Japan!"
NANA: "I see. Looks like we're one and the same. Our parents' want us to pursue other things rather than our true passions."
AKI: "My mom is more lenient, she sees it as okay so long as I maintain my studies."
NANA: "I never expected someone else in the club to be in the same situation as me. It kinda lifts a weight off of my shoulders to know I'm not alone."
AKI: "I really think the fact that you take on this kind of work and do it so well is very responsible and mature of you."
NANA: "You do? Do you think I'm doing well? Sometimes I worry if I'm doing right by everyone with all this because I get overzealous once in a while."
AKI: "The teachers think you're dependable because you're the council president, too! It's fine!"
NANA: "The teachers? I'm more worried about being dependable for the students. I'll have to work even harder."
