Later that night, as donghua and feng jiu explored the island, after going through the various forests, valleys, and landscapes, they ended up at the shore of the cerulean blue sea. This sea served as the focal point of the island with its radiant and tranquil waters that gave off an ethereal glow. The seeming infiniteness of the sea added to its serenity. Captured by it, feng jiu pulled donghua to one of the foling trees near it and settled down. He watched her with eager eyes, taking in every bit of her joy and contentment as he settled down against the tree. He pulled her on his lap and into his arms. Comfortable and at home in his arms, feng jiu turned her body slightly towards his as she rested her head on his chest. She picked up his white strands and started twirling and combing it in between her fingers.
As they rested, slowly, the petals from the foling flowers above them, started falling and showering over their heads. Feng jiu giggled at the descending petals. She began picking each petal one by one as they fell over donghua, trying not to mess up his immaculate hair. Her hand was raised high above trying to reach the petal on the top of his head when she felt him place a small, tender kiss on the inside of her wrist. Turning her gaze, she looked at him, as he gave her a warm smile and bowed down her head to make it easier for her. With the illusive petal in her hand, she glided it down his face and stooped at his chin. She raised his face back up to meet his eyes and saw a flood of emotion there. Feng jiu turned a little more towards him. caressing his face, she asked, "what is it, donghua?"
Donghua moved his head forward and pressed a little kiss on her forehead before saying, "do you know the significance of foling flower for me?"
Exuberant at the simple question he asked, she gave a vigorous affirmative nod. "it is your spirit flower just like peach blossom is mine. Foling flower, though is much more paramount since your powers are that of nature, it is the equivalent of my nine-tailed fox spirit for you; it can also be considered as an aspect of your spiritual form. only you can derive energy from these foling flowers in all the realms."
"There is another layer to that truth, xaio bai. only a few souls know about its sacrosanct nature. This particular tree is extremely sacred and above change. Since, it is a representation of my pure spiritual energy, it cannot be present or grown in any place that is not imbibed with my spiritual energy."
Confusion clouded feng jiu's brain as she turned her head around to take in her surroundings. befuddled, she asked, "but this whole island is covered in foling trees. I didn't know anything about that. Then how come, these trees are budding here so effortlessly?"
Donghua gently placed his palm on top of her heart as he said, "because I am truly, reverently and lovingly present in here. I see your love, xaio bai in each of these foling petals. It is your pure and unconditional love for me that made this miracle happen. I do not know what good I could have ever done to undeservingly have your love, xaio bai, but whatever it was, I am so thankful for it. I promise to cherish you, your heart, and your love for all of eternity and beyond. I love you, little fox, ardently and irrevocably."
Tears were streaming down feng jiu's face as she straddled his lap and faced him completely. Grabbing his face in between both of her hands, she said with a fiercely passionate voice, "listen to me, donghua. Don't ever shorten yourself in front of me, I will never tolerate anyone selling my dijun short in front of me, not even you. you had been, you are and you will be the sole recipient of my love in all of eternity. There is no question of deservingness here and never will be. You gave up your entire primordial spirit for me, how can you even question that, donghua. You said it yourself, my love, I was made just for you then how can we not be deserving of each other. I exist because of you, from you and only for you, my love."
Donghua cupped her face and wiped her tears with his thumbs as he gave a single solemn nod of understanding. Feng jiu moved her hands down to his neck and entangled her fingers in the hair at the back of his neck as she continued earnestly, "donghua, my love for you is a part of my being. It is not something that I have to put my mind to, it has always been there in every beat of my heart and every breath my body takes. even when I didn't know you, I still loved you. as childish as my fascination with you was, for me it's still me loving you. this miracle that you say occurred because of me, does it not also show how much I am a part of you. my spirit and energy were able to achieve this only for one reason." She put her hand on his heart, "I live here as much as you live in mine. And for that, I am gratified and beholden to you. your love was something I had only imagined and dreamed about. As desperate as I had been, I couldn't imagine that I would actually receive your love. you do not know the happiness you have given me. I love you, donghua, so much, you can't even imagine."
Holding her face, he bent down and placed a long reverent kiss on her forehead as he whispered against her skin, "I love you, xaio bai..." he moved down to her closed eyes and pressed a kiss to one eye "...ardently..." he pressed a kiss to the other eye, "...irrevocably..." another kiss to her nose, "...unconditionally..." another kiss to her right ear, "...reverently..." another kiss to her other ear, "...diligently..." another kiss to her right cheek, "...yearningly..." another kiss to her other cheek, "...rapturously..." and finally pressing a long kiss to her lips, he whispered against them, "...and eternally."
Feng jiu had closed her eyes, taking in his every movement, every word, every kiss, and engraving it on her soul. The flood of emotions that drowned her heart in his love was everything she had ever wanted and everything she needed in her life. She opened her eyes to see the same flood of emotions that had overpowered her being reflected in donghua's eyes. She was so enraptured in his eyes that it took her a while to take in the changes in her surroundings.
Feng jiu slowly noticed the light purplish hue that surrounded them. with significant effort, she tore her eyes away from donghua to find the source of the purple hue. It was then she turned towards the sea ahead of them to notice the new and gleaming addition in the night sky just above it. The previously cloudy and dark sky that only had a few stars in it was now alight with a large and luminous moon that appeared to be quite close to the land. The moon though was giving off pink-purple incandescence. This purplish hue of the moon had drenched the entire sky and island in its mystical radiance.
She turned to donghua with an awed gaze, "did you do this?" she asked in a soft dreamy voice. He gave a soft and deliberate nod, "it didn't happen by itself, little love." giving him a huge smile, she furrowed back in his arms and rested her head against his chest before speaking again. "I love it, donghua. I love this. Just being with you here is everything for me."
Donghua heard her contented sigh as she played with his hair. His hand caressed her head as he asked, "you haven't given this place a name yet, xaio bai." he caught her humming sound before she spoke, "I am going to name it sarai xingfu, the land of eternal bliss. Because being here with you, in your arms, is my bliss." He kissed the top of her head as he whispered into her hair, "sarai xingfu... it is a good name, xaio bai. I like it. it suits you and your land." With that, she gazed at the sublime view ahead of her while he gazed down at the breathtaking woman he loved.
