Cloves PoV
I smile down at the envelope in my hand. Written on the front:
Miss Clove Kentwell
I eagerly rip open the envelope, and pull out the piece of paper.
Dear Clover
It was great to hear from you again! You sound like a really cool, and amazing person! I've been doing great! Thanks! How about you? Is your brother still as annoying as last week? I know my sisters have been pains in the ass!
I also thought about the fact that we've never actually seen each other, so I attached a picture!
Can't wait for the next letter! Sorry this one is so short, but I have a surprise for next week!

I grin after finishing the note, then notice the second, smaller slip of paper. I take it out and let out a tiny gasp.
It's a picture of a muscled, blue eyed, blonde haired boy, looking at the camera, a slight twinkle lighting up his eyes. And Damn is he HOT!
This is the boy I've been talking with for five months?!
I smirk and grab the papers, plopping them in the big grey box along with everything else he has sent me.
I wonder what the surprise is going to be next week?
I'll have to wait.
I sit down at the table grabbing my own blank piece of paper, and begin to write my own note.
~~~four days later~~~
Knock knock knock
I race to the door, swinging it open and my eyes widen.
"Cato?!"
He nods grinning and I jump up giving him a hug.
"Oh my goodness! Why didn't you tell me you were coming?!"
"I wanted to keep it a secret! Told you there'd be a surprise!"
"B-but...how'd you get here?! You live in a different country!"
"Hey Canada isn't so far away Clovely!"
I raise an eyebrow.
"Clovely?"
"Well it's my first time seeing what you look like! And may I say you're beautiful," he winks.
"Oh?"
He smirks at me and I walk out of the doorway.
"Come in!"
He eagerly follows me, and we stand in the kitchen awkwardly.
"So...wanna go to my room?"
"Sure!"
"Sorry...I'm bad at this..."
"No, no! It's totally fine! I guess it's kinda weird. I'm pretty much a stranger...and I..Um am in your house."
"Nah...I know you! I've just never seen your face in person. Your name is Cato Alexander Hadley...you have two really annoying sisters and then your parents. Obviously. You're Canadian, and you play center on your hockey team. You also are really funny and nice. Now come on upstairs," I direct pointing.
He smiles and we continue.
"So that's my jackass brother Nates room, that is my parents room, and this is mine!"
I step in through the door and Cato follows.
"So it's kinda messy...and gross...but it's mine. Come sit!"I invite patting the bed.
He takes a seat beside me and lets out a sigh. I turn to him confused.
"What's wrong?"
"Oh...ah...nothing. That wasn't a bad sigh or anything."
Suddenly his brow furrows and he stands up walking towards my desk.
He pulls something out from the corner of my mirror and I freeze.
"I-is this the picture I sent to you?"
"I-ah..."
He laughs and I feel my face heat up.
"You kept it for that long?"
"It...it was only four days..."
"Hey, it's fine! Don't be embarrassed! It's cute!"
"What?"
He bites his lip but continues to smile.
"I dunno I just think it's kinda...cute that you kept that. I mean it wasn't really a great picture or anything!"
"No it was a hot pictu-"
I feel my face get even warmer as his grin grows.
"Well...if you have a picture of me...can I take a picture of you?"
"E-erm I...I don't think you want a picture of me..."
"Yeah I do. I wanna remember a beautiful face!"
"Flatterer."
"Speaker of truth!"
I blush harder as he smirks at me, plopping down onto the bed once again.
"It...Um...It's nice that you could come! It's been super fun so far."
"You trying to change the subject? I still want a picture!"
He pulls out his phone and I shake my head.
"Smile!"
I grin slightly, a blush still visible on my cheeks.
"Gorgeous!"
"No!"
"Hey, don't sell yourself short! You are actually really beautiful Clove! It's a shame I never got to see you before today!"
I punch his arm gently and he gives me a goofy grin.
We glance at each other and I suddenly find myself getting lost in those shining blue eyes.
"Clove?" he whispers slightly.
"Yeah?"
"I...um...Was wondering how you would feel about..."
"About what?"
He shakes his head, seeming to try to get rid of whatever thought he just had.
"Never mind..."
"Are you sure?"
He stares at me again and suddenly I find him slowly leaning in.
Is he trying to do...what I think he's trying to do?
I sit there awkwardly as he comes closer and closer.
Am I supposed to lean in as well? Wait...Do I even want this? I only just met him face to face today...
He's so close now that I can feel his warm breath against my face.
His eyes are shut tight and I slowly, hesitantly close my own.
Then his lips are on mine.
Soft, sweet, and gentle.
His hands find their way to my hips, and he pulls me closer.
I'm kissing...this practical stranger...
I pull away and his eyes open to meet mine.
He grins slightly then notices my frown.
"I-I'm sorry...what's wrong? I know it was kind of unexpected but...I..."
"I'm sorry Cato...It's just...I don't..um.. really know you all that well..." I say backing away.
His face falls and he stands up from the bed.
"I...I guess I ruined this afternoon didn't I..."
I bite my lip but he puts up his hand, shaking his head.
"I should get going then...Um...Yeah. Nice meeting you."
And with that, he quickly turns, running out of the door.
