3rd Person POV
Hope is the first one out of the cellar, shooting the woman back
Hope fends off the woman's fire breath, holding the knife in front of her to deflect the flames
Sadie and Raf are the next two out of the cellar
Raf is supposed to knock out the woman while Sadie stands by the cellar door on standby incase something goes wrong
A rock hits the woman and she falters, her fire going out
"Took you long enough." Hope says
Sadie joins the two
"Sorry, I couldn't find a rock." Raf says
"There's literally a lair full of heavy objects." Hope tells him
The woman regains her composure
"Hope, alley-oop." Raf tells her
Raf runs forwards and jumps off a stump and Hope tosses the knife to him
Raf catches the knife and stabs the woman in the chest
The woman falls to the ground
Raf takes the knife out of the woman's chest and stands up
He hands the knife to Hope
"Promise kept." Raf tells her
"You three all right?" Dr Saltzman asks, running out of the cellar with Landon behind him. He looks to the woman. "Let's give her a proper burial. See if you can find a shovel."
Hope, Raf, and Landon walk into the cellar to find a shovel
Sadie was about to go with them when she heard Dr Saltzman answer his phone
"Dorian." Dr Saltzman says into the phone. "Uh, knife in the heart did the trick....What are you reading, Game of Thrones?" Sadie hears the one sided conversation. "Look, this just doesn't make any sense. I-It has got to be something else."
Sadie looks past Dr Saltzman
Her jaw drops
Dr Saltzman looks to her with a questioning look and she points behind him
A dragon forms where the woman was
"Nope. It's a dragon, all right." Dr Saltzman says into the phone. "I've got to call you back."
Sadie is frozen in place
"Dr. Saltzman..." Hope says, walking out of the cellar with the two boys. Her sentence trails off as she sees the dragon. "Oh, my God."
The dragon flies into the air, shooting fire and flying away
"Was that a...?" Landon asks
"You guys go." Hope says to Landon and Raf. "Get to the car and get out of here."
"What about you?" Hope asks
"I have an idea." Hope says
"What?" Dr Saltzman asks
"She wants this." Hope says, holding up the knife. "She's going to be back."
"All right, you two, go to the car. I'll meet you there. Go, go!" Dr Saltzman yells to the boys. He then looks at Hope. "You wake up with a death wish today?"
"Something like that." Hope tells him
The dragon circles back
"All right, it's coming back. Now what?" Dr Saltzman asks
"You should take cover." Hope tells him
"Like hell." Dr Saltzman says
"Then tell me how I'm gonna explain to your daughters that all that's left of you is hot ash." Hope snaps at him
"The dad card?" Dr Saltzman asks. "That's a low blow." He looks up at the dragon coming back. "All right."
He runs into the cellar and closes the door
"What do we do?" Sadie asks Hope, looking up at the approaching dragon
Hope grabs a paper from her pocket and unfolds it
"Hope, it's getting closer." Sadie warns
"Here." Hope says, holding the paper in front of Sadie and her. "This is the spell we're doing."
"Hope, this is black magic." Sadie tells her
"Sarah, we're running out of time!" Hope warns her, using her full name to show the seriousness of the sitution. "Do the spell with me."
"I can't afford black magic in me." Sadie tells her, scared and backing up
SADIE: There's a very good reason why I can't use black magic...but that'll come up later
Hope huffs before looking up at the dragon
"Then get out of here." Hope says and Sadie backs up more. "Tenebris anima vestra contundito mortem." Hope starts chanting. The dragon gets closer. "Et conteret spiritum. Frange vitam."
"Oh, god." Sadie mutters
Sadie runs next to Hope and looks to the paper, chanting along with Hope
"Nolite corde. Ut sub terra esse, ad tenebras usque in sempiternum. Tenebris anima vestra contundito mortem. Et conteret spiritum. Frange vitam." The two girls chant. "Nolite corde. Ut sub terra esse, ad tenebras usque in sempiternum."
An explosion knocks the girls back
Hope gets up and helps Sadie off the floor
The woman is laying on the ground, covered in ash and blood
Hope walks over to her, holding the knife up as if to strike
"Where did you come from?" Hope asks. "Why do you want this so badly? What's so special about it?" The woman is silent. "Say something!" Hope says, her voice wavering
The woman is about to shoot more fire at them when Dr Saltzman grabs the knife from Hope and kills the woman
Hope crouches down to the woman
"Guess that was the soft spot." Hope says
Sadie looks back and sees Dr Saltzman grab the paper with the dark magic spell
"Uh oh..." Sadie whispers
"What is this?" Dr Saltzman asks and Hope stands up. "This isn't earth magic, Hope."
"This wasn't an earth magic problem." Hope says, standing in front of him and next to Sadie.
"We don't allow black magic." Dr Saltzman scolds her. "It gets inside your heart and it poisons your mind." He looks to Sadie. "Did you do this spell?"
Sadie stares at him
"Sarah." Dr Saltzman says forcefully. "Did you do this spell?"
Sadie looks down, nodding
"Do you understand what could happen to you with black magic in you?" Dr Saltzman yells at her. "I thought you girls were smarter than this. And Hope, I looked the other way this morning 'cause I knew you were upset, but this is a death spell." Sadie's eyes widen. "A spell you couldn't have known you need to use on a dragon, which... which means you had other plans for it. Landon did something stupid, maybe evil. We won't know until we learn more, but... he's still just a kid, Hope... and so are you. This hatred... this vengeance... This is your father. It can't be you. I won't allow it." He looks down at the woman. "Now, you bury her. Sarah, you're with me. Hope, I'll see you back at the car."
Dr Saltzman walks away
Sadie looks to Hope, both girls with tears in their eyes, before leaving and following Dr Saltzman.
Sadie catches up to him
"What the hell were you thinking." Dr Saltzman says. "With your family history...you cannot afford black magic in your system messing with your mind."
Sadie nods
"Now, when we get back, you're sleeping in a transitional cell tonight." Dr Saltzman tells her. "I don't know if there's anything in your system and until Dorian tests you...we have to keep you safe."
"You mean keep other people safe." Sadie says, looking up to him. "Right? Just in case I get angry?"
Dr Saltzman sighs
"Unfortunately." Dr Saltzman says
"I don't get it." Sadie says, stopping and Dr Saltzman stops as well. "Lizzie has angry episodes."
"Lizzie doesn't wolf out!" Dr Saltzman snaps at Sadie and she takes a step back from the impact of the words. "I'm sorry. But, Sarah, you've been here for 5 years and you still haven't controlled this."
"I am trying." Sadie tells him
Dr Saltzman sighs and nods
He starts walking again and Sadie follows, upset
They get to the car where there is no sign of Raf or Landon
But there is a note
A few minutes later, Hope shows up
"Where are they?" Hope asks
"Gone." Dr Saltzman says. "I found this on the windshield when I got back."
Hope reads the letter
The three get into the car
Dr Saltzman starts driving
Sadie sits in the back seat, looking out the window with her headphones in

Sadie sits on her bed in her cell
Dr Saltzman is holding her left wrist, finishing locking up her wrists
As soon as he lets go of her hand she pulls away from him
Sadie lays down, facing away from Dr Saltzman
He walks out of the cell and stands there for a second
He looks at her
"I really am sorry about this." Dr Saltzman tells her softly
"Whatever." Sadie says, a tear dropping onto the pillow. "Just lock me in and leave already."
Dr Saltzman closes the bar door to the cell
He looks to her one more time before leaving
Sadie looks over at the door, hearing the departing footsteps
She lays her head back down, a few more tears slipping out as she grips the pillow for some kind of comfort
SADIE: Everything tells me I can't control my anger, even all the way down to my genetics. But what really hurts is when people think I'm not trying to get better or I don't want to get better. I would love to not explode over things, but I just can't. I am who I am
