Alissa didn't know what that connection between her and the wolf with the grey fur was. That one second of eye contact felt like a liftetime to her. She didn't understand what had happened but she felt drawn to the wolf. The wolf shook its head as to snap itself out before it turned to follow the black wolf. Alissa's gaze stayed on the grey wolf until she heard the black fur wolf growl. He charged forward to Laurent who turned to slap the black wolf back.

The black fur wolf landed beside Alissa which scared the crap out of her. Her gaze was back on the grey wolf again that she didn't even notice Bella running back to her. Alissa was trying to figure out what had happened.

The wolves followed Laurent through the woods leaving Alissa and Bella in the open field. Bella grabbed on to the girl's arm pulling her up from the ground. Alissa looked at Bella with wide eyes. “Did you see those. . .”

“Wolves? Yes. We need to tell my dad,” Bella told her. Before Bella could run Alissa grabbed her arm. “No, we can't tell you dad Bella.”

“Why not? Those wolves are killing the hikers. We need to inform him!” Bella told the girl which irritated her. “Bella, think for a freaking second. What the hell is going to happen when you tell you dad? They will form a search party and something is going to happen. Those weren't normal wolves, Bella!”

She knew it was better when they were kept them out of it but Bella didn't know better. “No, Alissa! Those wolves killed human beings!”

“And the vampires haven't? Think clearly before you do something stupid,” Alissa told the girl. She didn't know why she was trying to protect the wolves but her experience in Beacon Hills made her like this. Anything supernatural must be hidden from humans.

Bella looked the way the wolves ran off to before looking back at the girl. “No. He needs to know.” The girl turned and ran off into the woods again which frustrated the hell out of Alissa. She was putting her father's life in danger.

Bella ran into the house while Alissa followed behind her. She didn't know what else to do to convince Bella not to say anything. She felt like she had to protect them but she didn't know why. Was it because she felt drawn to the one Grey wolf?

What even was that?

“Dad, I saw them!” Bella yelled out, rushing to the back. “What's the matter?”

Alissa's gaze fell on Harry who sat beside her uncle. She hadn't seen him in a while so she made sure to greet him. “In the woods. They are not bears!” she told him and Harry frowned staring at the girl.

“What you mean in the woods? Bella, what the hell were you doing out in the woods?”

“T-They are wolves. I mean, they're like huge wolves!” Bella explained, stuttering out. “Are you sure about that, Bella?” Harry asked her.

“Yeah, Alissa saw them too. They were after. . .something,” Bella said which made Alissa sigh. She was so quick to talk about the wolves but she didn't wanna even mention vampires. Then again, who would believe her, especially now with the state she was in.

One of these days she'll say she saw Edward when it's just a figment of her imagination.

“I couldn't see it clearly,” Alissa told her uncle and Bella send a glare her way. That was a lie since she had gotten a rather good look at them.

Charlie sighed, looking over at Harry. “Wolves? You saw?” Charlie asked and Bella nodded.

“Alright. Well, Harry. . .feel like going hunting? Can you get some of your guys together?” Charlie asked Harry. “Sure, yeah. I'll. . .I'll just. . .” Harry walked off and Alissa looked at Bella.

“Good job genius!”

She walked off toward the stairs. Alissa was trying to prevent a search party from happening. Nothing ever goes right during a search party. Someone almost always get hurt or dies.

The girl walked up the stairs toward her room when Bella called out to her. “I had to tell him!” Bella ran up the stairs after her.

“Really? Then why didn't you freaking tell him about the vampires as well?” Alissa asked her. “You know I can't tell them.”

Alissa sighed, “Bella, don't you ever stop to think. What are humans gonna do against those giant wolves? You saw them. What human even stands a chance against them?”

“With more people they could—”

“They could what, Bella? If something happens to your dad or even Harry it'll be on your conscience.” Alissa turned and made her way to her room.

Bella groaned, stalking after the girl. “I couldn't tell him about the vampires because the Volturi will kill anyone who knows about them!” Bella defended herself.

“Okay great then, Bella,” Alissa said, sarcastically as she clapped her hands. “What else did you want me to do?”

“I wanted you to use your brain, Bella! I'm not even sure if it works anymore,” Alissa retorted. She had been holding it in for so long, afraid that her blowing up at Bella could send the girl in a downward spiral and she didn't want that. Alissa just wanted her cousin to be okay.

“You send your own father out to search for wolves, that are huge, way bigger than humans. What the hell did you think is going to happen when he and his officers goes out searching, huh? Will the wolves just let them be? No, Bella!”

“How was I suppose to know that!”

Alissa groaned. “I told you that! God dammit, if you would've listened to me and stop thinking about your ex boyfriend for just one micro second you'd still be able to use your brain.”

Alissa walked into the her room before slamming it shut behind her. The huntress threw the bag on the ground before throwing herself back on the bad. Alissa didn't even know why she was even mad. Bella had told her the reasons why she couldn't tell him about the vampires and she had ever right to react the way she did. . .so why was she so mad?

Was it because of had transpired between her and the grey wolf? What exactly was that? She had never felt so drawn to something like she did to it in that moment.

Alissa's hand moved to the necklace. On it was the wolf. The wolf on the necklace actually resembled the wolves she saw today. Huge and terrifying.

The girl sighed deciding to take a quick nap before dinner later. She'd have to worry about Bella another time. Now she just wanted to sleep.

-ˋˏ✄┈┈┈┈

Not even three hours later she was up. She went downstairs to start dinner and the whole time neither Alissa or Bella talked to each other. They just started making the food, not communicating at all. At one point, Alissa started feeling bad but she wasn't going to admit she was in the wrong.

When they finished dinner, both of them went to eat in their rooms. They did everything to not be in the same space with as the other. Alissa did see Bella look back when she entered her room but the Argent was way too stubborn to say anything. She had her father's stubborn, so she wasn't ever gonna admit she was in the wrong for blowing up on her.

Alissa sighed, staring at the bow and arrow in her open bag. She should have stayed home today. Why did she think it was the great idea to go into the woods?
Nothing good ever happens when she finds herself in the woods.

And why is it that every time she was in the woods, she faces a wolf of some kind? Was she just drawn to them?

Alissa finished her food and she was about to take her plate down when she heard a tapping at her window. The girl moved to the window to see Jacob Black — the boy who told her to forget about him — standing on the ground, looking up at her.

The girl huffed, rolling her eyes. She was considering if she should even open the window. He told her to get lost, so she can do so as well. She didn't owe him a second of her time.

Alissa glanced back down, deciding to just give in and see what the boy wanted from her.

“Well, well, well, look who came crawling back,” Alissa taunted, sticking her head out. She raised a brow, “What the hell do you want?”

“I need to talk to you.”

She scoffed. “Go to hell Jacob. I don't wanna talk to you,” Alissa said glaring down at the boy. “Alissa—”

“No, Jake, you don't get to do this. You decided to break our friendship. You don't get to come here to talk to me whenever you feel like it.”

The boy sighed before climbing up into the tree which completely surprised Alissa. She stepped back and he jumped into the window.

“What did I just say?”

Jake sighed, “Look, I'm sorry.”

“Yeah, you should be,” Alissa said walking back to her bed to realize that her bow and arrow was still out.

“What is that?”

Alissa kicked the bag under the table, out of his view. “Nothing. Why are you here Jacob?” she asked him. The boy decided to ignore what he saw and just focus on apologizing to the girl.

“I wish I could explain everything to you Alissa. . .but I literally. . .can't,” he told her which made her mad. “If you can't then leave, Jake.”

Jacob wanted so badly to tell her but he couldn't. “Alissa. . .Have you ever had a secret you couldn't tell anyone? One that wasn't yours to share?” he asked her. Alissa knew what that was like. She had to keep her family's secret for years from everyone even her own sister. Such a secret weighed heavy on the person.

“Well, that's what it's like for me. Or worse. You have no idea, how tight I'm bounded.” The girl sighed sitting down beside the boy. She stared at the boy, taking in his appearance. She missed his long hair and while he didn't look too bad with short hair, she did wonder why he cut it off.

“What have they done to you?” Alissa asked, more to herself than to Jake. Was this Sam's doing?

Jake finally looked at the girl. “It's not them. The vampires, those damn Cullens. . .” Jake told her, standing up.

Alissa leaned back, “Jake, they don't live in Forks anymore. Why do you still hate them?”

“They're the reason I'm like this. . .”

“Like what? Tell me what's going on, Jake.” The boy wanted to blurt out and just tell her but he couldn't. He wasn't allowed to let her know about his kind.

“I have to go,“ Jake said, walking over to her window. “Seriously? You're leaving again.”

The boy looked at Alissa. “I'll see you soon, okay.”

The boy jumped out of her window before running off into the woods leaving her again. Alissa rolled her eyes, not believing she actually let the boy sweet talk her. She should have stood her ground and made sure he knew that he couldn't just ho back whenever he felt like it.

She wasn't a toy he could throw away and bring back again.
